Which Jesus?
Bro. Lee Vayle - January 09,1983
Let's pray, Heavenly Father, we're so grateful that we can come here together, Lord, in this late hour in the place that You have provided for us. And we know it's all in Your foreknowledge, it's something that You worked out, and I supposed because of our own ignorance and blindness we had to take such a circuitous route to get here. But, we are here and we're grateful for it.
We just know that we're safe in the arms of Jesus, safe on His gentle breast. We know that we're one with You , Lord, [Bro. Vayle is emotional] that's what counts. And it's getting better. It's getting realer, Lord, the day is coming we know that the shadow giveth away to substance, and all things become spiritual, back to reconciliation. Back to where it came from in the beginning. But, this time now immortal flesh around the Throne to praise God. We appreciate that.
We ask the Lord to bless Your Word today, may It come forth as Your Word in a way that You'd have It to come forth. ...the Word within the framework of the Word with the intent of the Spirit of God. The revelation of God. These things are important to us.
We thank You, Lord, that You never fail us, You've always helped us. You've blessed us, and continue to bless us and we know that we can trust You. And You showed that to us by reason the fact that not only has our faith failed many times, but we've actually been faithless, and Your faithfulness is all the more clearly been seen by it.
And, here we are now at the end of the Ages, and we look to You to finish that work which has been begun. And we commend ourselves to You now, which we're grateful we're able to do so. And may it be with greater praise and thanksgiving. And at any other time, may it increase, for we know that these things shall increase even as unrighteousness and wickedness does increase. We know these other things have to increase. And even to such an extent Lord, that where this grace is abounding today, there'll be utterly no comparison between righteousness and unrighteousness. For righteousness, You'll cover the earth, and the glory of the Lord, covered the earth, as the waters cover the seas. We know that Lord. Just coming to that place where the seas, the people, all coming together, just one glorified unity. Then, where will these other things be? They'll be gone. And, that's very encouraging. To have your way this morning Lord, amongst us. We'll be careful to give You the praise in Jesus' Name. Amen. You may be seated.
1. Now, certainly nice to be here, for the last couple of years, almost, it's been like the apostle Paul said, (and I kind of forget what he said.) but the idea was, when he was weakest, then, he was the strongest. And, that's kind of like (you know) when things are sort of the roughest, that's when God will come forth in His mercy, and glory. And, that's certainly Scriptural, because, at the end time, "where sin doth abound," (that word means to overflow) to where there's actually, you can't measure it. You can't put an estimate on it. Then It says, "grace does much more overflow." [Rom 5:20] So, we feel that way like I said, sometime back. And, I'm not feeling good this morning really, actually, I am physically. I hate to get so low in my body, I told you folk one time about a year ago, that I was going to call a service every single day. So I'd have someone to preach to. Because, the only time I felt good, is when I was preaching.
And I thought, well, that makes me feel good. You people shouldn't feel too bad, if you make me feel good. Like sitting here and suffering,...after all everybody's got to have a little suffering and into every life a little rain must fall. Well, a few hailstones won't hurt you. You know, mix it up.
(Happy to see the folk, I guess is that's all, are you all Davis'? No? You tell me who you are as time goes on. That's good, sure glad to have you with us. The Lord bless you. I know you came quite a distance. I hope it's worth your while. It sometimes is, and I guess a lot depends on the people who you're sitting with. You know as Bro. Branham said, so truthfully, that you bring a spirit into the church. And, it just needs to get on one person, he said, that'll just mess things up. I was in Waterloo with him, in Iowa, back in '58, and he went down there, to the...auditorium, to just look around, see what the acoustics were like, and what the set up was. Because, you know, like this little church here, now they got away from my peripheral vision now, but I'll move them out next Sunday. If I was back there a little further, I could catch them, see.
2. I like everybody sort of 'in my lap', but you know, kind of like a Charlie McCarthy [character of ventriloquist Edgar Bergen] thing you know. Bro. Branham liked that, he wanted to see what the building was like. Because, it was worth his while to know. And, he went over and talked to a few people, one of which was a man in a wheelchair, or something like that. And, a skeptic standing by said, “Aha. That's how he does it.” See the discerning? Bro. Branham didn't have to meet you. You could be a thousand miles from him, he could read you like a book. But, you see, that spirit got on that man. And, I want to tell you what. That was one of the toughest meetings we ever had, and Bro. Branham ever had in his life. It was so bad, I felt so sorry for him, he couldn't preach through...there was no use in even him preaching. You talk about atmosphere. I said, “Bro. Branham, you're killing yourself by...look, you got to not only preach, you've got to pray for the sick, you've got to discern, it weakens you.” I said, “I'll tell you what I'll do, let me preach for you for a couple of nights.”
Now, he said. “I don't want to burden you, you've got it tough enough.”
I said, “No, it doesn't matter how tough I have it, because, it's inconsequential." Whatever happens to me, because, I was just the water boy, pouring water on the hands of the prophet. So to speak.
"So," he said, “Well if you don't mind, I'd sure appreciate it.” So I preached two or three nights, to give him a break. And, pretty soon, we got a few people coming in from the outside, California, and around the country. And, they brought a spirit with them of faith, by Friday. That's starting on Sunday, we were going to go the whole week.
Friday I came by and said, “Bro. Branham, you can preach tonight,” I said, “We got the break we're looking for.”
He said, “How do you know?”
“Well,” I said, “I got a break this afternoon in my meeting, for the first time people responded. You'll feel good tonight.”
He got in the platform, and said, “My,” he said, “Why wasn't it like this from the first?”
So, you see, people's spirit has a tremendous amount to do with the meeting. If you come expecting, you come you know, with faith and love in your heart, prepared to meet with the things of God, it doesn't matter how ill prepared you are, within yourself. Because, you can't do it anyway. But, if you're prepared for him, that He might do something, He would. Then, you see, you're in good shape. So, we're just happy this morning, to be with you. And, I've got a couple of announcements.
3. Now, I want to talk this morning about a subject and its' title is 'Which Jesus'? 'Which Jesus'? Now, this may sound like a strange title for a message. And I suppose that is because, those who believe 'in' the person of Jesus, or that someone, that is called Jesus, they usually think of Him in terms of that one, that was crucified for our sins, that one that rose again, that one that's central in the Bible. So, the question would come naturally to I think, every single person, who claims to know something about God. Whether born again or not born again, and say, “What in the world are you talking about?” But, I'm going to tell you what I'm talking about.
And, it's in 2 Corinthians 11:2, and you'll notice that Paul says here:
(2) For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin...
(3) But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds ... be corrupted from the simplicity that is (that unique form of a one attitude, see?) the simplicity that is in Christ.
(4) For if he that cometh (preaches) another Jesus,... or if (you) receive another spirit, which (you) have not received, or another gospel, which (we) have not accepted, (you) might well bear with him.
4. Now, It says here, “If he that cometh (preaches) another.” Now, another means there must be more than one. Because, if I have an apple and another apple, nobody's going to tell me I've got one apple. And if I've got one apple and another apple, and another apple, and another apple, nobody's going to tell me I've got one apple. 'Another' means an addition. And, he says, “If one cometh that (preaches) another Jesus.”
Now, a more literal translation is: “If as is the case, he who comes proclaims, another person as Jesus, than the one whom we have proclaimed.” Signifying that there was the propensity, (yea) not the propensity as we will see, but the literal fact, of coming into a Reality. That there would be a supplanter, there would be that which would take away the real, and substitute the unreal. Now, we must be sure to understand this statement of Paul. That there was another Jesus, that was going to be preached. As I said in the opening, there, are those who would say, “Well, that's impossible.” But, if that was impossible, then this warning of Paul, is nothing but the hot air of arrogance and spiritual pride. Which is the same reason that Satan fell. Paul would be a hypocrite. It would be him screaming out, against deceit, and himself being a deceiver. Have you ever seen people like that? Ah... they're clever. There were a couple of men around Bro. Branham and they were perfidious [treacherous] and, they were selling interviews at a hundred dollars apiece. And they were perverts, they were homosexuals. That's right. So they went to the people that had confidence in them, and they said, “Now, you are soon going to hear, terrible things about us. You are soon going to hear that we are accused of being perverts. And, we have taken money and done so and so.” And the people believed them for years and years and years. You think it can't be done?
5. Paul screaming out, "Hey, there is a deceiver coming," and he himself, be a deceiver? Do you think it isn't being done? Come on. Here's where it starts. No way can this be deception, for Scripture is Scripture. And, all Scripture is given by inspiration of God. Then not one Word, must be disregarded. So when Paul warns, of an antichrist, you say, “Now you're talking anti-christ.” That's exactly so, because, if it's another christ, than he's a supplanter. If he's an anti-christ then he's instead of, because, 'anti' means 'instead of', not against. But, against only in the understanding that he is instead of. That is where you get you word in Latin 'vicarious', vicar. Oh you say, “That's Roman Catholic.” Oh no, that's Protestant. Ha, don't tell me. Years ago when I was a kid preacher, just starting out, I went to this church, and they had nothing there. And, by the way, when I was born again, at least when I was saved, I came to Christ. They asked me to get down and pray.
And, I want you to listen to what I prayed. Because, I remember it exactly, and I closed my prayer by saying “God, I don't want You to be a first and last in my life. I want You to be a first, (but notice, I've always taught Alpha and Omega) first and last. Always tried to put Him first. When I preached my first sermon, as a young fellow who'd cast everything on God, to go preaching; I preached on the Pillar of Fire. I started my ministry preaching on it, and I'll end it and die preaching It. Because, Bro. Branham said, "The Pillar of Fire is going to take us to the Millennium," and that's where I'm going. Anyway, when I was a kid preacher, well you're not much of a kid at twenty-two, you're pretty stupid, so you might as well qualify as a kid. The work there I went to was literally nothing, and I began to build and build and build, because God began to move. And, so now it was time for someone to move in. And, I'm a Protestant. I come from a background of Catholic and Protestant. But, the protest got the better of the Catholic.
6. So, I'm into Pentecost. Pentecostal, tongues talking preacher. Not bad, just, not good. So the church begins to build, and now, the big shot, the superintendent, calls me in. And, he says, “Son, there's a man that needs that work more that you do.” I said, “What do you mean he needs it, more than I do?” Well, ” he said, “he's got a big family.” Well that's not my fault, of course. That's his business. What's a big family got to do with preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and going somewhere? What about John Lake [Pentecostal missionary early 1900's] going to Africa with thirteen kids? John Lake, called of God. Fifty thousand dollars, back in his day would be like half a million bucks today, if not a million dollars today. He gave away everything he had, and said, “Now, God if You want me in Africa, take me there.” And, God took him there, wife and thirteen kids. What's that got to do with it? If God called you, the prophet said, "He'd take care of you."
So this guy said, “You know son, you better leave.”
I said, “What for?”
“Well” he said, “That man needs it.”
I said, “What if God called me there, and not him there? What about then?”
And do you know what he said, “In a multitude, there lacketh not wisdom.” He made himself the Holy Ghost. Don't tell me about the Catholics having a vicar, and the Protestants not having a vicar. Vicar. So Paul warned of an antichrist. One who's in the stead of Christ. He warned of an interloper, preaching a false Messiah or a wrong Jesus. And that makes it a system. You say, “Bro, Vayle, a system?” Yes, a system.
7. Let me read It: [2 Corinthians11:]
(3) But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds ... be corrupted from the simplicity that is (in Christ) ...
(4) For if he that cometh (preaches) another Jesus, whom we have not preached, if (you) receive another spirit, which (we) have not received, or another gospel, which (we) have not (preached), (you) might well bear with him.
Now skip the rest of verses, and skip down to where It continues; verse 13.
(13) For such are false apostles, (not one or two; many) false apostles, deceitful workers transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.
(14) And (no) marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an (messenger) of light.
(15 ) Therefore it is (no) great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. (Which is burning.)
This makes a church of Satan. That started right back in a Pentecostal background, full of the Holy Ghost. But, people began coming into it, without rebirth. Satan will have a church at the end of the ages. He's always had one. And, the same as God will reincarnate Himself in the body of the Lord Jesus Christ, one of these days, to head the great mystical Bride. So will Satan be incarnated. In whatever man they elect, whether he be Catholic, pope, or Protestant. Because, it will all be one. And, he will have a church. And, as this glorious church of the Bride will be New Jerusalem, in the Presence of God, so Satan's church will be destroyed from the Presence of God, in the Lake of Fire. The Bible says so.
8. Listen to what Paul says in Acts 20:17-32.
(17) And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.
(18) And when they were come (unto) him, he said unto them, (You) know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,
(19) Serving the LORD with all humility of mind, ...
In other words, he let you know he never let his mind get in the way of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It wasn't something that he interjected, or came from him. But, he put his mind to one side. As Balaam said, “I cannot speak of my own mind good or evil.” Neither can a true prophet of God. God's got him in a straight-jacket. People don't want to believe in straight-jackets. Don't believe in a straight-jacket. Join the antichrist, just that simple. And, that's tough preaching, but look it, come on, I can tell you one thing: this is a book. It is not a comb to comb my hair. Great. I'm going to comb my hair? (Fap!) See, we're not stupid brother/sister. We're not brilliant either, we're in between. We're spiritual; hopefully. All right.
(19) Serving the LORD with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, (that's testings) which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:
(20) And how I kept back nothing (from you) that was profitable ... but have (showed) you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,
(21) Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, (the Gentiles) repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
In other words, a change of mind toward God. Get everything out of your mind about God. Learn the truth about God. (See?) Then you'll have faith towards Jesus Christ.
(22) And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:
It tells you right here, if you don't have a right mind, the right understanding of God, your faith in Jesus Christ is no good anyway. You say, “Bro. Vayle, how could that be?” Don't 'Bro. Vayle how can it be, this is the Word of God. I didn't write the book, I preach It. You say, “You're not nice.” You ask my wife, she'll tell you I am nice. And, little kids like me too. I don't know if they like my quarters more, (where's Caleb?) like my quarters more than me or not. [said laughingly] Little kids love me or they wouldn't come for their quarters. Kids are smart. You're not that smart of course.
9. Verse 24.
(24) But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
(25) And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.
(26) Wherefore (he says this is the last confrontation, get this flat, and make a record) ...I am pure from the blood of all men (for one reason.)
(27) For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
(28) Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, (not to whip it, not to boss it, but to feed it) which (God) purchased with his own blood.
Showing you, that Jesus is the Blood of God. Which means He was the Life channel physically, of God. Didn't say He was a second god, or a third god. Said, “He was a channel of God.” A manifestation of the attributes of God. (I've got twenty-five pages of notes, we'll talk about it sometime.)
(28) Take heed therefore...
(29) For (this) I know, after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you,....
10. Hold your finger there, go to Matthew 7:
(15) Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, ... inwardly they are ravening wolves.
They look exactly like, and act exactly like a Christian, but they are not Christians. Oh come on. Hold your finger there. Let's go back to 2 Corinthians 11: Listen;
(13) For such are false apostles, deceitful workers transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.
(14) And (no) marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
He can be so sweet and so wonderful, so beautiful, so marvelous. And you say, “The man's got to be God, the man's got to be God, the man's got to be God.” Give him the Word test! Sure. Don't tell me the antichrist is not going to be a wonderful person. Oh, he's going to be loved. He's going to be respected. I wouldn't be surprised if he performed miracles. In fact if he doesn't I'm going to be very surprised. Oh fact, I'm not going to be here. I said, "Forget that." Just score that out.
11. Okay let's get back to Acts 20:
(29) ... grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
(30) Also of your own selves...
He said, “Right here amongst you, there are false anointed people, there are make believers, right now.”
(30) ... speaking (perverted) things, (contrary things) to draw away disciples after them.
They don't care about your relationship to Christ. They only care about your relationship and their relationship. Oh, they're nice fellows. Oh my, they wouldn't rebuke, they wouldn't exhort. Oh no, they got a system whereby they just cover your sins very nicely. They got a system whereby they'll just hide it, and gloss all over it. Take good care of you. Oh, yes. Why, they wouldn't offend you for nothing. I heard a preacher, supposed to believe this Message. And, he's a Oneness preacher at that. He ought to know about cut hair, and women wearing slacks and everything else. Which (you know) is not a sin in itself, as far as that's going to put you in hell. But, once you're born again, that stuff goes.
And so the people say, “Why don't you tell those women, (they said) you're around them that's not right. That's not the right thing to do.”
“ Oh, (his brother said) I just can't tell them sweet ladies, something like that.” Well, they're nice sweet ladies. Long hair doesn't make a saint. Slacks don't make her a sinner. (See?) But, there are certain things that a person just conforms to if you're born again. If you're not born again, you just can't see it.
12. So they asked this other fellow, (this guy that's supposed to believe the Message), “Why don't you say so and so? Why don't you warn people, why don't you...? ”
“Oh, ” he said, “The prophet done said it.”
So the guy said, “The prophet done said everything else too then, so why don't you just shut up and stay home.” [laughter] I don't think he put it that rough. (That's old Lee Vayle, putting his own interpretation in.) Now they were disciples.
What would it be if we had a little fellowship here, and you all loved Lee Vayle, and, Lee Vayle loved you, and we just played ring around the rosie. And we didn't stand up with the truth of Almighty God, and call a spade a spade? What good would it do? You know what I'd be? A grievous wolf. Not caring anything about you.
Like Bro. Branham said, “Love is corrective.” It certainly is. The Bible said so, Bro. Branham didn't say that. Doesn't matter what Bro. Branham said, it's what God said. Doesn't matter what Lee Vayle said, it's what God said. Doesn't matter what you said, it's what God said. That's what's going to count. Now, he said;
(31) Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
13. Now I want you to notice here. Paul said it was already started. Now, let's go to 2 Peter 2.
(1) But there were false prophets also among the people, (that's way back in the days of Moses) even as there shall be false teachers among you....
Now, not false prophets, now, false teachers. See your system? I said it was a system. You bet it's a system. He's got his prophets, he's got his apostles, he's got his pastors, he's got his teachers, he's got his evangelists, he's got his elders, he's got his deacons, and he's got his ladies aid society. (Yep.) And, deaconesses.
(1) ...(teachers) who privily (that's on their own, nothing to do with the Word of God.) shall bring in damnable heresies, (which condemn, and bring you to judgement, to destruction) even denying the Lord (that's refusing the Lord, saying no to Him) ...
What if it's true that God appeared in this day? Let's say that God appeared. Now...that's really saying something. Moses came back and he said, “Hey,” he said, “ Listen, God Appeared in a Pillar of Fire.”
And they said, “Oh, ho ho ho ho, (they said,) Moses, for Pete's sake, too much desert sun on that bald head. What are you trying to talk about?”
Moses knew they were going to say that, so he said, “ Lord, I go down there and they make an ass, they make a fool out of me. I can't just go down and say 'You appeared'.” Well I'll tell you, I'll give you some signs. (And, not dollar signs either. Not dollar signs, big churches, nice cars and all that hogwash.) God took Moses down from his smart brains, his great intellectual ability, his scholarship, and from the great traditions of Egypt, from being one of the mightiest generals the world would ever see.
14. And, he was the mightiest, because, he went down there, a one man army with God. Busted Egypt wide open. So He said, “Go on down and tell them.”
“No, ” (he said) I can't tell them, they'll say that I'm crazy. No way. They'll just deny it.”
“Well, ” He said, “I'll give you a sign.” What if there was a sign in our day? Do you think people are going to believe that? (Ha.) In the face of Scripture, saying they're going to deny. And, you tell me if a real sign came the world would take it. That's a lie from the pit of hell, because It says right here in God's Word, they'll deny Him.
Oh you say, “Bro Vayle, they don't deny the Lord,...they ...”
Ah, hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it come on. Sick is sick, and stupid is stupid. Anybody comes here with the irrefutable proof of a something having happened, you don't have to see it, the proof is there.
Now It says right here, as they denied back there, and they did deny, they said, "As for this Moses, we don't know where he came from, and where he is going, and what's this junk about God? We got fooled for awhile up there and "make us calves, make us gods, make us something." “ Come on, come on, come on, come on.”
You tell me that people wouldn't deny these men in authority, these men in position, it means right now they've got to step aside and say, “I was wrong.” Listen, that's all I've ever been in my life is wrong. There's no problem with me. Only I'm stupid enough and smart enough at the same time, like you, to admit it. “Denying the Lord that bought them.” [2 Pet 2:1] Now, It says right there 'bought them'. Denying God, who paid a price. Now that word 'deny' as I said, means 'refuse'. He said, “They saw Me, they tested Me, then they absolutely disapproved of Me.” What if God should appear in a Pillar of Fire, as a prophet like He did according to Scripture? Do you think people are going to say, “Hey, that's great.” They're going to say, “Ha ha ha, oh boy, oh boy. Those people, always religion has been a sucker bait for suckers and here's some more.” Well that's the strangest thing, out of eight hundred million Christians, you show me how many suckers there are of us who believe it.
15. Let me tell you, if someone was pulling a 'sucker deal', they didn't get very far. Because, I can name you every group under God's high heaven, who has many, many, many, more times numbers than we've got. We're nothing. A little junkie bunch of people.
Now; [2 Peter 2: 2-5]
(2) ...many shall follow their pernicious ways; (virulent ways of destruction) by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
Other words, they'll speak evil of God. Now hold it. These people, evil speaking of God, will say nice things. They won't say, “That, that, that guy Jesus, is supposed to have died upon the cross. And that that thing about God being there.” They won't be burning stuff like that. They're wolves in sheep clothing, they'll talk about Jesus, they'll talk about God, they'll have altar calls, they'll have everything in the book. But, they're wrong. Now, come on;
(3) ... through covetousness ... with feigned words make merchandise of you: ...
You're just a meal ticket. Oh I could say some beautiful, tantalizing things right there, because, Bro. Vayle has been a meal ticket too. Ha ha ha ha ...heh, heh, heh, if you haven't been taken by somebody, you're not even born yet. You've been an abortion or something. You'll live long enough to find out.
(3) ...(they'll) make merchandise of you.
You ain't nothing but a medium of exchange. Something to move, like a pawn on a chess board. Or lining up as dominoes, just to watch you fall. You say, “There's people like that?” Sure. Nice people. But, the tragic thing is, they don't even know themselves many times what they are doing. Because you see, man has got a conscience. But, if your conscience is blackened, you'll not necessarily be a whoremonger, a robber, a thief, and a murderer. You can be a very, very sweet person, who destroys with the best intent. Sorry, but, that's the Bible.
(3) ... through covetousness ... feigned words make merchandise ...
(4) For if God spared not the angels that sinned, (and) cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
(5) And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
16. What brought in the flood? Preaching righteousness. And, unrighteousness turned it down. And, I'm talking about righteousness here, in contra distinction to unrighteousness. And, I've explained unrighteousness to you. It is the wolf in the sheep clothing. It is the make believer. It is the subtle liar. Him who many times, doesn't even know he's lying. Because, he's listened to the traditions of the church. And, the dogma and the creeds. He's been educated, he's been schooled. Turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes. Now, we're getting to Sodom and Gomorrah, we've left the flood. Making Him example to those who should live ungodly. Delivered just Lot, vexed with filthy conversation of the wicked, for that righteous man dwelling amongst the filth. One more time, righteousness stood up and exposed unrighteousness. And, the judgement fell. Just like that! Does every time. If a righteous God should expose righteousness in this hour, let me tell you flat. Judgement is here.
Now, you say what you want. I'm ready to go. I'm anxious to go. I want to beat the Rapture. Oh, I'm selfish. If I get out of here, I'm going to tell you something. I'll come up in a resurrection. I'll miss all this stuff going on. You can have it. And, then it's quite likely, not exactly sure, but quite likely, I might, I will get up ahead of you. Because, the living will go up in little groups, a little later on, so nobody notices. So I'll be up ahead of you. If anybody's over sixty-eight, you may work with me. [laughter] If you're not, you can sit here. Now, I love you. But, I don't love you that much. [Bro. Vayle chuckles] If I can get out of here,( see?) not that I'm going to try to get out of here. But, I'd like to get out of here.
17. See listen, It says that, it's got to happen. [2 Peter 2:]
(9) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptation. And, (to) reserve the unjust (notice, righteous as in contra distinction to unrighteous. Because the word 'unjust' here, is not 'unjust', it's a wrong translation, it's 'unrighteous.') unto the day of judgment to be punished:
(10) But chiefly (those) that walk after the flesh in ... uncleanness,
Now, I'm sure you caught what It said. That the preaching of another Jesus, started back in the first church age. But, according to 2 Peter 2:9,
(9) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly (the righteous) out of temptation. And reserve the unrighteous, (the ungodly) unto the day of judgement (that's reserved for them for punishment.)
Now, they continue. This started there, and continues, right to the day of judgement, which is the Day of the Lord, the great Tribulation, and, the burning of Israel with fire. ...continues, and how many souls were saved? Eight, in the days of Noah. How many in Lot? Three, came out, the rest burned. Now notice, we mustn't fail to get this. This church system under the antichrist, flourishes.
18. Let's go to the Book of Matthew 13: we're going to read in verse 31;
(31) Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
(32) Which indeed is the least of all seeds:...
Now, the kingdom of God is what we're striving for. It started here on earth, with the rebirth of souls. And He said, “Here's what it's like; it's like a grain of mustard seed. ” And, you cannot hybridize the mustard seed. (I'm told.) Stays by itself. Now, watch what happens.
(32) Which indeed is the least of all seeds:... when it is grown, it (becomes) the greatest (of) herbs,...
That's not true. That's not true. You get that Jimson weed out here, it's bigger. See? It's a parable, what He's talking about. It's a parable in here. You can almost get it to an extended parable. An allegory.
(32) ... and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
19. Now, let's go back to Revelation 18: and let's see, this is the great church Babylon.
(2) ... is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
And It tells you right there, what which started pure, what happened? The purity goes on, but something comes in. Intertwining itself, mixing itself, so now, within the one group called 'the Church' there is true and false. And, the whole thing grows to the end. And, it ends up a huge monstrous thing with wickedness and devils controlling it. It says so. That's why It says, “To the end, people come out of her my people, lest you die with her.” All right. This system, under the antichrist spirit, flourishes. It becomes so numerous in numbers. That it compares to the days of Noah. Eight people only, out of millions, were righteous. The rest were unrighteous.
20. Now, back to 2 Peter 2, again, where I got that. We read the verses 1-9.
(9) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly (the righteous) out of temptations, and to reserve the (unrighteous)...to the day of judgment...
Now notice, verse 5,
(5) ... Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood ...
Now, what happened when that preacher of righteousness hit? That was a prophet. See? God came down in Sodom. Now, whenever there's a prophet, at a juncture, God's got to be there. No God, no prophet, prophet. God, God, prophet. You can't get away from it. The simplicity overwhelms you. You can't separate them. The Word of God, the Word of the prophets, it's the same thing. The Presence of God, demands a prophet. The presence of a prophet, demands the Presence of God. Now, as soon as righteousness came, and stood there vindicated, disaster came. Now what if righteousness today, has been vindicated? You tell me disaster is not coming?
What about the earthquakes out there at the coast? There's not just fifty under Mount Shasta now, there's literally hundreds, reverberating out there. Hundreds of tremors every day. Mount Hood, double volcano ready to go. Mount Ranier, Shasta, Helena, judgement striking the west coast. Starting up in Alaska. Back in March, 1964 (See?) Now if this is the end time, there had to be righteousness in the land. (See?) Got to be somebody standing there. There's got to be a contra distinction. Now do you get it? Only a few, will know the truly revealed Jesus, because that's what's it's about. Because that's where it started, wrong Jesus.
21. Somebody stepped in. Only a few will be Bride, who knows her mate. Only a few will have the true revelation. And, the rest will be united, to traditions and errors. Because, that's exactly what took place back there. They began interjecting their own ideas, of Him. Now, the ark of salvation, at the end time, as it was at the beginning is, knowing the truth, of the only true Jesus of God. Jesus said so, in John 17:3.
(3) And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Now listen, that which is destructive, is not knowing the true God. And, the true Jesus. You say, “Bro. Vayle, you mean to tell me, a wrong revelation will destroy everything that Jesus accomplished on Calvary? So that if I don't have the right revelation of Him, who died upon Calvary and rose again, even though I claim him, does that destroy me?”
Yes, that does destroy you. Not because I said so. If I shout, it doesn't mean that I'm mad at you, or anybody else. Or trying to get back at anybody. That's just my nature, so please, forgive it. That's my way of punctuating. And I shouldn't do it that way, but, that's my nature.
22. Now listen, It tells you right here: [John 3:]
(16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
“Well that's mine. Thank you Bro. Vayle. Thank you, I just love that, that's mine.” Now, just a minute. I'll read a little more to comfort you. (Then I'm going to take it away from you.)
(17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
(18) He that believeth on him is not condemned: (Hallelujah)but he that believeth not is condemned already, (well that's too bad for the other guy) because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Now hold it, there's a name in there now. Now,... there's something here. that says, “Hold it, it's just not the way you think it is.” There's something about a name. “I came in My Father's Name” He said. Get baptized in Jesus' Name. Oh yeah, there's something about a name come in here now. We better know about a name. All right, now listen.
(19) And this is the condemnation,...
23. Now hold it. He said that there is no condemnation, but, there is condemnation. How come there's no condemnation, but, there is condemnation? Because, you won't escape the fact that Jesus died. And now you're free. You won't escape, because of that, if there's something wrong with your believing. Now listen;
(19) ... this is the condemnation, ...light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light,...
It wasn't that Jesus didn't die. It wasn't that the sacrifice isn't appropriate. It wasn't that the sacrifice was efficacious. It wasn't that He wasn't the Lamb of God. It isn't that He's not our High Priest. It's something else. 'Light'. [BV taps his Bible] What is light? Light is revelation. And, Light is Life. And, Life is Light. John 1: tells you that. What is it? Now;
(19) ... light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
“Oh, do you mean to tell me Bro. Vayle, the thing that I'm doing in my worship. And, I love Him. I try to love Him, I do this, I do that.” Yes, you better see if the Bible sanctions what you're doing. Now, anybody knows that “Thou shalt not commit adultery.” Heavenly days. “Thou shalt not murder, thou shalt not do this, or that.” Anybody knows the moral law. There's a lot more to the moral law. What about the moral law that says, “Thou shalt not commit adultery.” And, a man looks at a woman down the street, because she's presented herself in a wrong way. And, he gets bad thoughts. Now, what about that? That's adultery. I didn't write this. The Bible said so. Just, face up to it.
24. Then women go around fully exposed. And, men go around the same way. And, men like that, because, you know why? Because, it's the end time. Then they talk about being born again. Clipping their hair, and, then talk about being born again. Men not acting like men around the women. They should act like men, not like a bunch of dogs. Don't tell me a man's got to lust after a woman. When a man's a stronger vessel. Let's pin this down. I'm not a woman hater, and running after women. Don't think for one minute that I'm after women's hides. I'm a...absolutely an advocate for women. Because, they've had a rotten, tough deal. Not that they didn't ask for it. And, not that they don't. But, let me tell you something: Men ask for it, a whole lot more than women do.
Because, everybody sitting here today is a murderer, potentially, you could kill somebody. And, you say, “I'm not interested.” Let's bring it up to sex, and watch how interested you get. Murder, sex, the same cotton picking thing, what are you talking about? Sin, is sin. Lying is the same thing. Name it right down. Let's get down to the nitty gritty. Pulling deals. The church is full of it. These guys pulled a deal. They knew the revelation of the real One. But, they turned it down flat. God was on the scene, as in the days of Moses. God was on the scene in the days of Christ. God's on the scene now. They say, “Forget it.” They won't bring their deeds to the light. They won't come and bring their religion to the light. They won't bring their creeds and their dogmas. They won't come to the Word.
When a prophet's on the scene, that's what it's all about. Bring everything you've got to the Word. Let's see if It lines up. They wouldn't do it. Condemnation. Light's in the world. I don't care if Jesus died upon Calvary, (I don't mean it in the sense, that I don't care if Jesus died, I'm just putting it this way) even if Jesus did die, which He did, and the Blood was shed for remission of sins. It doesn't avail anything, unless you come with the Word to it. Because, He was the Word. And, it's the Word that got to be satisfied. (See?)
25. All right. John 17:3
(3) And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
And, that doesn't go without the other verse that says concerning the fact of Paul mentioning, these false people.
Let's go to Matthew 11:27. I want to read that with John 3: and John 17: And, It says categorically here;
(27) All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
Now, they go together, you can't separate them. The revelation. Now, I want to go to Acts 1: I'm going to be as positive as I can, because, some of this gets negative. Let's take you to where you want to go this morning. If you need the way of salvation, if you need God, let me tell you this is the way you're going to go right to it, going to Scripture. Acts 1:1.
(1) The former treatise (Luke wrote this)... O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, (he's writing to a fine Greek brother, here.)
(2) Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
(3) To whom also he (showed) himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom...
(4) And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, (you've) heard of me.
(5) For John truly baptized with water; but (you) shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
Now, after the infallible proof, of His resurrection, and they knew it. They believed it. That was the light of the hour. The Holy Ghost came and baptized them. You watch and see.
Acts 2:]
(1) And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
(2) And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
(3) And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
(4) And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, (and that's the thing that counts) and (they spake) with ... tongues, ...
Second chapter, verse 12-13.
(12) And (the people that heard it) were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What (does this mean?)
(13) Others (say, “These guys are just boozed up, they're full of wine”)
Let's read verse 22. Here's what Peter answered:
(22) (You) men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as (you) yourselves... know:
26. Now, there it is. This was the man God sent. This is the One raised up, this was the Messiah. It was proven by what He did.
(23) Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, (you) have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
(24) Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be (held by) it.
(25) For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
(26) Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
(27) Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither ... suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
(28) Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
(29) Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. (Now listen, he didn't say he was there, he said his sepulchre was. David was in that first resurrection.)
(30) Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
(31) He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. (True, that's Psalms 16.)
(32) This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
27. Now notice, we're witnesses:
(33) Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which (you) now see and hear.
(34) For (it was not David) ascended into the heavens: (that's the wrong translation) but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
(35) Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
(36) Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom (you)... crucified, both Lord and Christ.
Now, let's go to verse 32 again;
(32) This Jesus hath God raised up,... (This Jesus! Which Jesus? This Jesus!)
Now, listen carefully: This Jesus is then what Jesus? This Jesus in not that Jesus, that they witnessed to. But that Jesus, that God witnessed to. And, revealed to the disciples. Which disciples in turn, witnessed about the right Jesus. (Do you get what I'm saying?)
Now listen carefully, I'm going to read it again. Because I read my notes on purpose, things like this, I do not leave to my memory. This Jesus, is not that Jesus, that they witnessed to. Because, anybody can witness to anything at anytime. And it means nothing. Anybody can get up and say, “Well, hey, I've got as much to say as Bro. Branham had to say.” That's what Korah, Dathan and Abiram said. They said, “We've got as much as Moses.” And Moses said, “Okay, okay.” He said, “ God, I took my stand with the people, I was ready to die at one time, but no more.”
28. This is the end. Because, I'm fighting for my life now. Eternally. And he said, “If these men are right, then I'm wrong.” Now, if I'm right, they will not die the common death of men. And fire came and destroyed them. If William Branham was right, if God witnessed to this Jesus that William Branham preached; then the great tribulation will set in, and these false prophets and false teachers and false people in the church (which I am not condemning, but, the Word condemned) will go into the great tribulation, and they will die a death not common to man. Now let's understand that. Because, we're not fooling.
I'll read it again. This Jesus, is not that Jesus, that they, [bolded for emphasis] or anybody else witnessed to. But, that Jesus that God witnessed to. And, then revealed Him to His disciples, which disciples then witnessed to the right Jesus. As John said, “Our hands have handled the Word of life, we declare Him unto you. That you may have fellowship with the same One.”
29. Matthew 16: here's what It said. He said to the disciples. “Who do men say that I the Son of man am?” Some say John the Baptist. Well, they flunked it right there, because He wasn't. Some said, "You're Elijah." They flunked it, He wasn't. Some said, "You're Jeremiah, one of the prophets." No, they missed it. He wasn't that. Who was He?
He [Jesus] said, “Peter, who do you people say I am? ”
"Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God."
And Jesus, said, "You're blessed, you're happy, Simon son of Jonas, for flesh and blood hath not revealed it, but my Father which is in heaven. And I'm going to tell you Peter, upon the revelation of me, by God to you, and everybody else, the church is built." [Matthew 16]
Have you got a revelation? No man can call Jesus, 'Christ', except by the Holy Ghost. Takes the Holy Ghost to get a revelation. This is exactly what he said in John 14. Now, I know this is not hard. I'm going to get right down to where it's as simple as a-b-c. Because it is very simple or none of us would get it. It's not some great big mystical thing, it's just that some people have never preached the truth. And, the truth is always simple. And, anything simple confounds people.
30. [John 14:] 7-14.
(7) If (you'd) known me, (you) should have known my Father also: from henceforth (you) know him, and have seen him.
What's this then about Father, Son and Holy Ghost? Father, Son, Holy Ghost, three gods. What about it? “Oh well Bro. Vayle, you see, what it is, it's just like a pitcher of water, you pour it into three glasses.” That's three glasses of water. That's three people. That's not one people. Merciful heavens. That's the same, listen, heaven forbid the thought.
Let's just put it this way: what if a man and woman got married. And, they couldn't be identical twins, but, let's just say they were identical twins, in the sense that every single thing about them was a hundred percent identical, a hundred percent except that one was male and one was female. And, they had a child. And, that child was a hundred percent just like them. It's still three people. What are you talking about? One God in three people! If I ever heard such paganistic hogwash, that takes the cake. He said, “Look it,” He said, “You want to know the Father, get to know Me.” Why did He say that? Because the Father was in Him. The flesh was the attributes. And, that's all you can see is attributes.
I can prove it to you. What if this was an actual rose here. That's a rose, supposed to be a rose. What if that was living? Now, you get a microscope. [omit comments] But look, what if that was a living rose? I'm not looking at rose. You say, “Bro. Vayle, you are.” Come on. You don't know biology, you don't know zoology, you don't know anything. You don't know anything. I'll tell you why. Because I would get you a rose seed. Aha. And, I'd take the little rose seed, dry and sear it. And, I would say, “Rose is in there.” Now is that rose? The life, rose life, cannot be seen with any magnifying glass. No matter if you magnified it, to the 'nth' degree to infinity, you will never, never, never see life. That rose is the attributes, of the life. And so, Jesus was the attributes, the body, and the Father indwelt Him. That's why He said, “When you seen Me.” You see rose, you see rose. Right? Yet you don't. Yet you do. [laughter]
That's why the prophet said, “He's God, but, He's not God. But, He is, but, He's not. But, I'm going to tell you, when God indwelt Him, indwelt those physical attributes, He was God, period. He was the Father, in the form of Son. Because, He took the Son's form, one that He created. And, finished the product through a virgin womb. And, indwelt it. He that has seen me, has seen the Father. How do you say then, “If you've seen me all this time, show us the Father.” Believest thou not that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? [ Jn 14:10] There you are. I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me. All right. The rose is in the petals, and the petals in the rose, sort of thing. Tell me they're two. They aren't two different, it's one life. And, the life is manifesting. Okay.
31. We're reading [John] chapter 14, right?
(11) Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else (now listen) believe me for the very works' sake.
Rose, life is in the rose. If you don't believe it's in there, you believe it because there's a manifestation. Well, come on. He that has seen Me, has seen the Father. If I had not done the works, no other man did, they had not sinned, but, now they have both seen and hated, both Me and my Father. Now, that's not deep, that's just simple.
(12) ...verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
It tells you right there, there's going to come a day, when what He did would be done again in a greater measure. Not they that believe, but, He that believes. Someone would come on the scene, with the same ministry. Greater than ever. When did it happen? When will it happen? When will it be? Who's going to do it? Now, if this is the Word of God, it's got to come to light. If that is a true rose seed, you put that in the ground, let the sun and the rain hit it, the proper fertilizer being there, out comes the rose. You don't need to worry about the bugs in this case. God's roses don't need any spraying. They're self protected. There is no sin in them.
32. Let's go to John 5: 19-20.
(19) Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, ... I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he (sees) the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
(20) ...the Father loveth the Son, and (shows) him all things that himself doeth: and he will (show) him greater works than these, that (you) may marvel.
A marvel. Is to come forth sometime. Was it? Did it ever? No way. Oh you say, “Bro. Vayle, that was the resurrection.” Five hundred people saw it and no more. What great deal is that manifested to the world? Put Him up on exhibition. Then we'll know if there's greater works to come forth from Him. Then He gives you the clue. “For as the Father raises up the dead and even quickened them, even so the Son quickens whom He will.” He tells you right here, there's coming a day that God will quicken somebody, with the very ministry, only greater.
[John 5:] 31 to 43, same chapter;
(31) If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true. (That's what Jesus said.)
(32) There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.
(33) (You) sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth.
(34) ...I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, (to you) that (you) might be saved.
(35) (John) was a burning and a shining light: (you rejoiced in his light for a season.)
(36) ...I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.
But, the works aren't finished except, Calvary. The works aren't finished. The resurrection hasn't taken place yet. This hasn't been fulfilled of the great ministry returning the earth So, there's going to be a witness. What's it going to be witness to? Jesus. We're going to identify Him at the end time.
(37) And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. (You've) neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
(38) And (you) have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, (you) believe (him) not.
Now, It tells you right there that you're on the spot. God loved the world. Take away the condemnation, but there's still condemnation, because men won't come to the light. Why? They don't believe. They won't believe the witness of God.
(39) Search the scriptures; ... in them (you) think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
33. And, the same Scriptures testify the ministry of Christ is going to return to the earth at the last time. People say, “I can't believe that.” Well, you're not going to make it. I didn't say so. God said so. Look, I'm not your judge. I am not a judge. I believe that I'm going to walk out of here, unscathed. I've got no problems. Don't even have complexes like I once used to have. (Sure.)
(40) And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
And, you say, “Everybody wants to get to Him.” Hold it. On the wrong conditions. They won't come to the Word.
(43) I am come in my Father's name, and (you) receive me not: (Now listen,) if another shall come in his own name, him (you) will receive.
It tells you right there what Paul said. How can you believe you which;
(41) ... receive honour... (one of another...)
(42) (And seek not the glory that comes from God only.)
Now, He tells you, it's going to be a system. It's going to be a set up.
34. Now, let's go to Acts 10:34-38. Now, this is positive, you might not thinks so, but, I'm getting you there.
(34) Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, ... I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
(35) (For) in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
(36) The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
(37) That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
Now, if Jesus is Lord of all, that means He's master of all. How come people want to come through a church to get God? You show me the church that is antichrist, that says you've got to come our way, then join our church. There's only one church that's going to stand the test of time, that's says, (listen) we believe in one Word. We believe in one God. You that don't come by that way, have nothing to do with us. An organization as a principle as a people. But, this deals with you and God directly through the Word. And, if you can't take that. Forget it, you'll never come to Christ. If you've got to have a church organization, because I showed you what's a church organization.
Satan transforms himself. And, he preaches a different thing than what was in the original Word. Oh he doesn't say there's no God. He doesn't say there's no Son that died upon Calvary. He doesn't say there's no baptism with the Holy Ghost. Well once in a while he does. He can get away with that. But, he can't get away with, saying there's no God. Not amongst these churches. No way. But, he can get away by distorting it. (See?)
35. All right, let's keep reading.
(38) How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost ... who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
(39) (Which)we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: (Now, listen. They said, “We're telling about the One God witnessed to.” Now, that's supposed to repeat.)
(40) Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly; (Open manifestation. Absolutely, proving who He was. Now;)
(41) Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
(42) And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of (the) quick and (the) dead.
(43) To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name (notice the 'name' again, ) whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
Now, you see the One that stands for you, is the One, that God reveals, and God witnesses to. Now listen, it started back there, it's going to end the same way back in this day, because God said so. Now watch, we go to verse 44.
(44) While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
Now listen, verse 44 with 43,
(43) To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
36. And, while Peter said that, the Holy Ghost instantly fell on the people. Because they said, “I believe in the One that God witnessed to you, that I'm hearing spoken of by your mouth. I receive that.” And instantly, the Holy Ghost fell on them. Now how do I...that's your problem. How do I receive the Holy Ghost? I just told you. Oh, you say, “Bro. Vayle, I've got to ...” You don't 'got to' do anything, just this. See, here's where people are all messed up with their churches in Pentecost. Oh they say, “Tarry.” Why tarry? Oh you say, “They tarried in Jerusalem.” Sure, because the Holy Ghost wasn't given. How can you spend money you haven't got, except by stupid credit card, then you're out on a limb. Come on, we're not mixing life and death up. We're telling you the truth. How can you have the Holy Ghost, if there's no Holy Ghost to give you?
Now, what if the Holy Ghost, is going to come ten days later? You simply wait for ten days. Then, if there is a Holy Ghost, you'll get Him in ten days. Now, It said right here, 'when they believed.' What kind they believing? They believed, on the One that God witnessed to. And, witnessed of. And, when that One was preached, they received the Holy Ghost. Why? Because, you see, He's my Savior. I accept Him as the One who died upon Calvary for me. I let Him stand as my substitute. Then God sends the Holy Spirit. (See?)
37. All right. Notice Jesus Himself, as He said in His Own Word, He will send the Holy Spirit. He sent the Holy Spirit. Now notice, It said here, as Peter preached the Word. What Word? The exact and true revelation of the true Jesus, brought salvation. Brought the baptism with the Holy Ghost. Brought eternal life. That's exactly right. The spiritually revealed Jesus, brings the Holy Ghost to everyone who will listen. Because that's all you've got to do is listen and believe. And, only the truly revealed gospel, can bring it. Paul said, “ I've got the true gospel, I'm preaching the true Jesus.” There's a true Holy Spirit. Exactly right. When the true Christ that God has witnessed to, that's raised from the dead, is manifested, and the testimony is propagated, those who hear It, will receive the Holy Ghost. There is no doubt about it. All this tommy-rot about something in between, that you've got to work your way up, is ridiculous.
38. Now, let's go back to Act 2:22 again. Now we're getting to the positive. See what we're talking about?
(22) (You) men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you (proven to be the One) by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, yourselves also know:
Now, verse 32-36.
(32) This Jesus (has) God raised up, whereof we are witnesses.
Now they couldn't witness, if God hadn't witnessed Him first. God witnessed by raising Him. (See,?) God witnessed, by what God did, through Him. That's got to be so. Then God raised Him, and proved that He was raised. That's another witness. Now, they talk about It. And, that's the true gospel. Now;
(33) Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which (you) now see and hear.
There is identically, what I am saying. God has witnessed. And, this is a true witness. And, you believe It. You can't help but receive the Holy Ghost. And, if you've already received the Holy Ghost, and God does this great witnessing, you can't help but receive It. You can't help but receive the Word. There's no way out.
39. All right. Listen, verses 37-41.
(37) Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and (they) said (to) Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren... (What are we going to do?)
And Peter said, "Simple, change your mind." Change your mind. Get rid of the old thought and concepts. Get rid of your old churches, your creeds and dogmas. My Lord, what I've been through ditching gets you in sixty-eight years. Since eighteen years of age...fifty years, I have ditched more, than I've literally taken on, but what I took on was life. I'm going to tell you brother/sister, let's get this flat. You may be on a great big beautiful cruiser, and having a wonderful time. And, suddenly it's torpedoed. That little old life boat will get you there, when the big cruiser goes down. Yeah, shuck the old cruiser, get rid of it. You're not on a joy ride anyway. A little raft is nicer for a honeymoon, you're closer together. I like that. Don't you? I'm a little romantic, you'd never guess that, would you? [laughter] I'm so stupidly romantic for a man of sixty-eight, I could cry when people don't watch me. Everything else. I love, love stories, and I love nice little tender things. And, then I get up here and beat your ears down. That's my nature. Never said a lie to you. I won't lie to you. Listen:
(37) ...Men and brethren, what are we going to do? (Peter said, change your mind, get your new thinking going. Start thinking new thoughts. Get a new perspective.)
(38) ...and (then) be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ (then your sins will go)... and (God will fill you with) the Holy Ghost.
That's exactly the Bible. What are people waiting for? This message isn't some stupid thing that preachers say, “Wait, wait, wait, do, do, do.” This is the Word of God. You believe that we can show you what happened in this day. That Jesus Christ is raised amongst us. That God witnessed to that One. You believe that Word. All you've got to do is be baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. And, when you come out of that water, the Holy Ghost will fill you. It's got to be that way my brother, my sister. Because hands were already laid on you, the man baptizing you, was laying hands on you. What do you want? We're not dealing with something thing way, way, mysterious. (That's as far as I'm going to read on those back there.)
40. All right, there was a time back there, there was a virgin Bride, but she got seduced like Eve. False apostles and teachers came by, and, the Jesus they preached was no longer Jehovah Savior, God, one God, manifest in flesh. The true revelation was displaced. It was no longer listened to when Jesus said, “I and My Father are One. For he that has seen the Son, hath seen the Father.” It was no longer Jehovah of the Old Testament, was Jesus of the New. Simply, God with a new mask on, a new body. They got so far away, they made Him a third person of a trinity. And, then they introduced, a lot of things that should not be there.
But listen, the Bible tells us, at the end time, there was going to be restoration. At the end time, there was going to be light shed abroad again. At the end time, that same Jesus, that was raised up to Israel, would be raised up to us. Which simply means, it'll be shown that He's raised from the dead. Because, He'll do the same things in the Spirit, that He did back there when He was in the days of His own flesh. And, what was that? Those apostles did it. Those men of God did it. They were one with the Word. Now, I'll read you some Scripture, to get you out of here.
41. All right. Hosea 2:20.
(20) I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD.
Now Paul said right there, he said, I betrothed thee, I've espoused thee. But, now he said, “You've got a wrong one, a wrong person took you over.” Jesus is no longer Lord, the Holy Spirit is not moving you anymore. (See?) Now listen, he said, “Now I'm going to do this over again.”
(21) (It'll) come to pass (in that day), I will hear, saith the LORD, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth;
(22) And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel.
(23) And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.
Tells you right there, what's going to happen at the end time. He's going to recognize, the little tiny Bride. And they're going to recognize Him. That's what It says.
42. Okay, let's go to Hosea 6:1-3.
(1) Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
(2) After two days will he revive us: (we're in the second day now, the third day is on the scene. What does that mean? Resurrection at the end of the second day. All right.) and we shall live in his sight.
(3) Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: (At the time of the resurrection, people are going to get turned back and know God. It says so. When will there be a resurrection? )...
Just hold your finger in Hosea. Let me take you to;
Romans 11:15, and here's what It says here:
(15) For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
Israel is not dead. They are blind. So, It says, when God receives them back in the homeland, it's resurrection time. Resurrection time, life from the dead. Life from the dead system. Life from the dead world. It's going to be renewed. The Millennium begins to set in.
43. All right. Let's read here a little further. [Hosea] 6:
(2) ...(he'll) revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
(3) Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; ...
That's what Bro., Branham said, “The sun rises, and sets in the west. At the time of the setting of the sun, at the time when it's all over, Light has got to strike the west.” There's no place for America left. The east had the gospel in the first century. It's America's turn, there's no place left to go. This is it. The last civilization. We're Revelation chapter 13. Now listen;
(3) ... his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter (rain) and former rain...
That's Joel, He's going to restore. What's He going to do? He's going to re-teach, because the word 'former rain' means 'teacher and teaching'. He's going to bring it again. The same Gospel, is going to be preached, that Paul preached. The same Christ is going to be introduced. The same witness is going to be introduced. The same Bride is going to be raised up.There's going to be a Rapture. We're not guessing anymore. Oh, listen there's nothing to guess anymore. Why? Because, God took over.
(4) O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it (goes) away.
That's what's happened all down through the ages, God's religious institutions. The dew comes in the morning, the sun takes it away. The dew, the sun takes it away. Let me tell you brother/sister, there's a day coming, when the dew falls and we'll get taken with it. Because, it won't be dew, it'll be rain on the new mown grass. (You bet) God's going to cut a swath at the end time, with His Word. It says, “All flesh is as grass.” [1 Pet. 1:24] But, this is the new mown crop, the last crop coming in. Resurrection time. Rapture time. (I hope you catch what I'm saying. It's a little obscure. But, it's really not that bad if you just know the words.)
44. Now;
(5) Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth
Now He tells you, light rises in the east and comes to the west.
(6) For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt (sacrifices).
Maybe that's the whole thing. People want to say, “Well hey, look what I did. Look how I lived, this, that.” Do you know God, my brother/sister? Do you know the right God? You say, “I know this, I know that.” But, do you know Him? Booth Cliburn sat with Bro. Branham one time and he said, “Bro. Branham, (he said) I love you, but, (he said) you don't know the Word.”
He said, “ Yes, but Booth, I sure know Its author really well.” Yeah. Too bad Booth Cliburn didn't know the author like Bro. Branham did. (Yes)
45. Listen lets go to Hosea 13: 4 (I could read on and on, and take you to Joel, and every other portion because you know that you've heard me preach.) I preach the same thing Bro. Branham preached. All right. Listen, verse 4.
(4) Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.
Now, that's the exodus, and the same thing happens at this exodus, because God is going to take us out. You say, “What God? I've got three of them.” Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Which God? Won't work. The same God that took them out of Egypt. What God was that? That was Jehovah. What's Jesus? Jehovah Savior. Jehovah taking a body, whereby Blood could be shed. Righteous Blood, not the blood of a man, but, the Blood of God. All the attributes, lying in there. For the life to come back upon us. Now, listen he says, “Have you seen Ephraim, Bro. Vayle?” But hold it, that's to the Jews. I've got something for you. Let's read [Hosea 13:] verses 12-14.
(12) ... iniquity of Ephraim is (hidden) (It's bound up, his sin is hidden)
(13) The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: he is an unwise son; for he should not stay long in the place of the breaking forth of children.
It says, this guy can't stand still for the First Resurrection. That's what He's telling you. Let's get the next verse.
(14) I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.
46. Hold it. That's said to the Gentiles, in 1 Corinthians 15: Give it to the Jews if you want. You just don't know that the Jews only have three and a half years, squeezed into three and a half years, for the Jews. You'll find you're illiterate in the things of God. That's why that guy from Europe messed up. Let me tell you something brother/sister, you mess with this Word, you'll be in adultery first thing you know, (either physically, or something else out there.) Don't you try to get to the Jews, what God gave to the Gentiles, and the Jews combined, but the Jews, don't get this. There is no body of Jews. Just Gentiles. They get saved at the last time, and immortalized standing right here and go to the Tree of Life. Israel, doesn't do it, the 144,000 either die, or they do it on those grounds. But, Bro. Branham said they died. He misunderstood me in '64, when I asked him a certain question on it. Sealed those souls under the altar. This is where death is swallowed up in a victory, to the Gentiles. So what's He saying? He said, “You'll know no God, but Me.” You'll know me.
47. Listen, I want to show you by Scripture, hundred percent the truth, we go to Ephesians 1, this is after those folk received the Holy Ghost. And, they're ready for the resurrection. They're ready for anything and everything that God might do. Why? If He should do it at that time. And, Paul said,
(15) Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
(16) Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
(17) That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
It tells you right there, the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, comes into the church before the resurrection. And, gives them the knowledge of God. That they'll know the true God, the living God. And, Jesus Christ whom He has sent. And you know what that's going to do? That's going to do something down here in the heart. Open the eyes of the heart. It's going to put her, into the place where the Resurrection, can take place. It's going to put her into immortality. And, going to take her to Rapture. And, set her up there, where God sent Jesus Christ. So the question comes this morning. (A little early this afternoon perhaps, call it morning or call it afternoon, the question comes.) And, I bring this to young people especially, and older people also might be here because, I don't know your hearts. Only God knows your hearts.
48. How many now will repent and be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ?
Because, that is His Name. That is His Name, Lord Jesus Christ. Not, Father, Son, Holy Ghost, that's titles, tells what It is. This is the true Gospel. This is truly God, because It is of God. And God is giving Himself once again, and showing Himself in this hour.
Now, to repent, which simple means 'change the mind'. I got a new understanding. I got a new light, what I saw was wrong, I'm finished with it. I'm finished, finished, finished. I am now open for every single that God might enlighten my mind with, because I see I was wrong, I need truth. Once you know what Israel knew they were wrong. You are a candidate to be baptized in water, because that is true repentance. And the last day's Message is repent, repent, repent. Change your mind. Change your mind and you'll constantly go through a changing of the mind, as the Holy Ghost descends upon you, and fills you. Because, you'll be learning the truth.
Anyone who repents this morning and is baptized in water will receive the Holy Ghost, because Jesus said so and they can't fail. Not your church, not your word. Not your own word, not your own idea.
Only His Word, that is alive now. His own Word proven. Yeah. His manifestation proving God, and, His Word now proves that Christ is risen amongst us. Let me show you something in the book of Acts. [omit comments] Because, you know what I'm talking about now. I don't have to make it overkill. Let's face it.
49. In the Book of Acts 3, It says right here by Peter at Pentecost, after Pentecost he's preaching about God, having raised up Jesus, like that great prophet Moses. And then, they crucified Him. Then God raised Him up again. Listen, he says in verse 26;
(26) Unto you first God, having raised up his Son...,(See? )
Raised up His Son, who was according to that prophet. Raised Him up unto them. Now, if you use the word, 'first' there's got to be at least a second. If he'd have said, “raised Him up,” that did it. But, He said, “raised Him up first, to Israel.” There's a promise that He raises Him up also to the Gentiles. And, it's in chapter 12 of the Book of Matthew. If you want to read it, then relate it to Isaiah, chapter 41 (I think it is), or 42. And, you'll see how that God raised Jesus to the Gentiles. And, It's a Name, It's a Light, It's a Power. And God, raises Him, to turn us away from our iniquities. You say, “That was done upon Calvary.” No, it's being done now.
It's being done now. (See?) You can receive the baptism with the Holy Ghost. You can be filled with the Spirit of Almighty God, on those grounds. The question arises then this morning. Which Jesus? And, the answer comes, 'the One that is proven to be alive.' The One that God raised up amongst us. The One who now does by His Spirit, what He did when He was here on earth. That is Jesus, Jehovah Savior. He doesn't need a man to represent Him. He doesn't send men to churches to save you. He, Himself is here, in the fullness of the Holy Spirit, the way He was back there in the days of His flesh. And, you can come into Christ, and, Christ can come into you. Why do you say He's raised amongst us, from the dead? Because, there was a prophet that came amongst us, vindicated.
50. And, he came with the sign of the prophet. Which is Deuteronomy 18: And, that prophet said, “Thus saieth the Lord.” And, when he said, “Thus saieth the Lord,” the thing came to pass. Which vindicated him, that he had that Word. And, every night he stood in that building. And, you've got photographs, (we don't have one here) it was the mechanical eye of the camera caught the light on several occasions. The Holy Spirit in the form of a light, invisible to you and me, but, visible to a prophet. And visible to a camera if God wants it. But, I don't go by that so much as, I go by the fact of the Scripture, that categorically says, “When that prophet, says the thing predicts it, it comes to pass, (It says) you listen to him, because he's speaking from God to you.” [Dt 18:22]
And that man literally becomes God to you. Not that he's God, but, you cannot have access to God, but a man does. Every Church Age has had one of them. And, the First Church Age had a prophet. The last Church Age has a prophet. Revelation 10: 1-7 proves it, when that Mighty One comes down upon the earth, that Great messenger with the rainbow over His head, and that is God Himself. The covenant One, come on down, the Holy Spirit. A prophet, Revelation 10:7 is standing right there. All the mysteries are fulfilled. And, that prophet stood many a night, and he said, “We'll ask Him to come, I don't know if He will come. We'll ask Him to come.” He suddenly says, “He is here.” And, the minute he said, “He is here,” he said, “I take every spirit in this building under my control, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, for the glory of God." And, The Word of God says, "When you see Satan cast out, the kingdom of God, has come unto you." [Mt 12:18]
51. What did Jesus say about the kingdom? He said, “It's right in the midst of you now.” Who's he talking about? Himself. Now he says those days will repeat. Luke 17:30 absolutely the days of the Son of man would repeat. He said positively, "The very ministry of Jesus Christ would return to this earth." Now you tell me, how is it going to return? Except the Father, which is the Holy Spirit, absolutely is responsible for it. William Branham never was. But, I can testify to things that I saw. I can testify to the fact that only in the ministry of Jesus Christ was every single person, ever healed in one meeting. And, I can testify that in every meeting, every single person was healed in Bro. Branham's meetings, where they came in contact. Now of course, everyone in Jerusalem wasn't healed. Of course, everybody out there wasn't healed. It was everyone that came in contact.
There wasn't one that didn't receive. So was that man's ministry, we had a repeat ministry in our day. And, the thing goes out this morning, which Jesus do you believe in? Do you believe in a Jesus that the church talks about? Do you believe in some Jesus that you've got something conjured in your mind? Or, are you willing to lay everything aside this morning and say, “Look I thought I knew, but, I really don't know anymore.” I'm ready to repent, which means 'change your mind,' I'm ready to accept irrevocably, just the same as Eleazer did, when he went to get a wife for Isaac. He said, “God I don't know You, but, Abraham knows You.” Now he said, “ Lord, I'm praying to the God of Abraham., the rest of you gods shut up and stand back.” He said, “The One I'm talking to is the God of Abraham.” Now, he said, “Listen, You God of Abraham, I'm stuck, and You've got to get me unstuck.” And, God did.
52. And why don't you say after, if you're a little doubtful today. You've got a doubt in your mind. One day there was a man that said, “Lord God of Elijah.” And, we believe we've seen the return of Elijah, in the Spirit. Because, that's what It says. Malachi says, “Elijah would return.” A spiritual ministry? You say, “I might not know the One who I want to talk to. But, I'm talking to the One, the Lord God of Elijah.” I'm talking to the One that raised Jesus, and, showed Himself manifest amongst us. I'm talking about, talking to that One, that incarnated Himself in that body at the River Jordan when He was about thirty years of age. Came on down. I'm talking to You. I'm talking to You on the grounds, You indwelt that body, and then You gave that body up to death, then the Blood flowed out, and opened up that life. I want that life to come back upon me.
I may not be smart. I may not be a theologian. But, I know this one thing, I don't know any things as I ought to know it, but I know this, as I'm talking to you. I'm going to tell you something brother/sister, you don't need a theologian. You don't need to be a church member. You don't need to be nothing. You just need to be a common ordinary person, that needs help. And, if you need help, God will give it to you. On the grounds that you just say, “Lord God of Elijah, the God and Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ, the One that was manifested not historically, not the One that people talk about, but, the One that's living. The One that's that real One. I've got to have help. And, if you mean that, you'll get your help. Because, you see here at Pentecost, people were looking, standing before Peter. They were shocked, they said, “This can't be Peter. What do you think? How can it be?”
53. He said, “Just repent, give up your own thinking.” Give up your own thinking, please let your own thinking go. Please don't try to figure anything anymore. He said, “Let it go.” He said, “You know enough.” There's something took place. He said, “I am telling you about It. Why don't you just listen, and do It.” Now, where's your preacher that shakes your hand? Now, where's your church to put your name on a book? This is between you and God today. As it always is between everybody, young and old. Every single person, it's between you and God today. As it always is between everybody, young and old. Every single person, is between you. You say, “Bro. Vayle I just don't think that I came the way you talked about.” Now's the time to come. Now's the time to come. Now's the time for the change of the mind. If you don't think you've got God. Look I've laid it out the best I can. If you want to talk, you might want me to preach this sermon over again, I'll preach it over again. I'll preach it over and over and over until you get what I'm talking about. Because, we're dealing with life and death. We're dealing with getting out of here, or going into the Great Tribulation. We're not dealing with someone, “Hey, just come and be a part of us. Or don't be a part of us.” Look, that's not it. What could I do for you? What could this church do for you? These people right here need money. How much money have you got in the treasury? One of you could blow it. In fifteen minutes,...five minutes. If you get out of here fast enough. First part we catch you..the money's shot. What can you do about your health? If we prayed for you, maybe you'd get better. Even if we'd laid hands on you, you're going to die anyway.
54. What can I do for you? What can the church do for you? What can anybody do for you? I'll tell you, there's One who can do for you. That's God. But, you meet Him on His grounds. Repent, and be baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. And, no substitutes. And, no substitutes. [Bro. Vayle emphasizes] No substitutes. Protestant church, same like Roman Catholic. Say, do you know something? I was supposed to join the church when I was sixteen years of age, I was scared to death. Oh, my Mother was great at her goofy religion. Which, God knows it's goofy.
You know, she was a Protestant. Original protesters. She hated the Catholics and Mormons like fury. What good did it do her? She didn't have a thing herself. Just like two tomcats with their tails tied together, hung over a clothesline, kill each other. “Oh you ought to join the church, son.” Merciful God I was scared, scared to death because the preacher would give us communion. Why was I scared to take communion? But, something inside of me said, “Hold it boy. You drink condemnation.” And, do you know what? God was good. That preacher didn't like communion, he didn't give it. God, was good. I never took it until after I was saved. Looking forward in faith, to the baptism with the Holy Ghost. Looking forward to the Kingdom of Almighty God. Look, preacher, priest come by, said, “Hey drink this wine, take this bread, that's it.”
55. That's a lie from the pit of hell, that's a substitute, that's the wrong Holy Ghost, that's the wrong Jesus. That's the wrong everything. Forget it. Unless you're baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I can prove by the Scripture, and by the history, that it's still extant, unless you are born again, baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, you can't even take those emblems. Where does the church take it? Where does the preacher take it? Where does anybody take it? But, where will God take you? Into the Promised Land. "There's a land beyond the river, that they call the sweet forever, and you only reach its shores by faith's decree." One by one, takes us to come in, one by one, we'll reach that side and go across.
And, it's going to be the Lord God of Elijah, that takes us across. But God, vindicated Himself, showed who He was, and what He was dealing with. And listen, it's real today, a hundred percent real. As I stand here, "I have nothing in my hands I bring, simply to His cross I cling." I have not one thing I can commend to You, myself. But, I can commend Him a hundred percent. And, I can say this, if He doesn't do it, it will not be done. And, if He does do it, it is done. Let's rise.
Merciful God, we thank You in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the One who died, and rose again for our justification. The One who is interceding as the High Priest. That Great One who identified Himself, and became a man. Who since by Adam a man came death. Man became dead. Death came in by man. Now, living creatures, by Jesus Christ. Living creatures, resurrected bodies. Absolutely. Lord, we're heading for a resurrection. People sing so many times, “Oh to be like Thee, Oh to be like Thee,” and then don't even know what it means. But. Lord, today we're getting to have an understanding, getting to have us something within us, that gives us, as we haven't had before.
Now, Lord Jesus Christ, there are people here, I don't know who all they are, young and old, amongst us. I could stand here myself, and if I didn't know and stand in the revelation of the faith of the Word of God, as it has been laid out, in this last hour. I would have to raise my hand, and say, “Lord, I've got to come to You today with repentance.” I've got to come to You Lord and be baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I've got to come and receive the Holy Ghost. But I know, Lord, by the very virtue, of the fact that all these things which were taught to us, by that which was vindicated, that which was manifested, that which was shown, Christ raised up amongst us at the last day, the same ministry returned to earth. We say, “Yes, yes, yes.” And know there is a constant process, Lord, of the renewing of the mind. We know it is not as though we were condemnation, but it is justification. Because, through the renewing we are going into the actual transformation. And, transfiguration of this body which shall put us into the glory land beyond. The Marriage Supper of the Lamb, and then to coming back and reign in the Millennium. Lord, we appreciate that so much, we do thank You for It. Now, Lord, You'd to speak to each heart, in divine Presence. I don't mean that every heart here, and it's a good thing that I do not. And it's a good thing that people do not know my heart. They could be unhappy, but, Lord, You know our hearts. You are the One that deals with us. And, I pray Lord that You'll deal with people, if there be anyone here.
Perhaps there's many, perhaps there's none. Which is best of all, oh no, none at all. Who have needed to have heard, rather for their own consolation. They know where they stand. I trust it is that way, that every single person, has had this repentance come, and now, Lord, steps to bring on immortality. Father, bless each one. Guide each one. Direct each one. Heal the sick amongst us, Lord. Let there not be a feeble one amongst us. We know there won't be going into the Millennium, we know that. Of course we'll be glorified. But, we believe, even before then, the healing virtuous power of Jesus Christ, will be among us to bless us. Bless this people, Lord. We're so glad for them. We thank You for them. That they could come and swell our numbers whereby, we could preach easily. So that there's better ability to reach others and reach, maybe even many, where many may sit there. Far better than if two or three just sat there, we could reach nobody.
Perhaps we reach no one, but, Lord, I would be glad if I had reached no one, but Lord, may You have reached every single one. And, every single one reached You. So that great promise of Jesus prayed, will come to pass. That they'll be one even as You and I Father are one. I in You and You in Me. I in them, they in us. How wonderful to know the possibility, and not a possibility, the Reality. So Father, we praise You. And, magnify Your Holy Name. Our heads are bowed, our eyes are closed. Anybody? I don't know, “Bro. Vayle, will you pray for me?” It is not just for salvation, anybody needs prayer this afternoon, thank you, anybody else. And, for salvation especially, good, we'll pray for you.
Heavenly Father, you saw the hands that are raised here, and You understand each heart, (I don't), You know what their needs are, but their special desire is now, Lord, like I have my special desires, and I've talked it over with You and You've given me the promise, Lord. So I just stand back now and wait. And, I'm a little impatient, Lord, I'm sorry, I apologize. I shouldn't be because, You do everything in Your own time, and it's just that much better. Forgive me, Lord. And, I appreciate what You whispered in my heart, and, what You've showed me from Your Word, and I thank You for it. Now I pray for these people too, may they have the same assurance, whatever they have need of, having raised their hands. Whisper now to their hearts at this time, O God.
Yes, I've heard your prayer. And, I'm going to give it to you, and don't worry, it's yours. And then, Lord, may they never from this moment on, think anything else. But, just wait for that day, with patience wait for It. Until It becomes manifest. So, we thank You for everybody in divine Presence, for the time we've had together. And, the sweet Spirit of Jesus Christ, brood now over each one of us. Melting and molding each one down, into the vessel You would have us to be remade by Your hands, O God. And, we shall give You the honor and the glory in Jesus' Name. Amen.
[Comments after the service:]
Do you realize you're not singing about a historical Jesus? You know, we're not talking about that One anymore. We're talking about the One that God raised up amongst us. See, that Pillar of Fire is actually that same One that indwelt Him. (See?) God raised the Body, that same One, Jehovah Savior, turned back a Pillar of Fire. And I want everyone here that's got the book on the 'Third Exodus', I want you to read the last few pages. And I want you to read as never before. See, I told you about 'The End Time Evangelism', I doubt if any one person read it. I want you to read it. Because, you obey those who have the authority over you, or teach you the Word of God. I want you to read it.
And I want you to read 'The Exodus', the last few pages. And I want you to see that the prophet said that, "The Pillar of Fire is going to take us into the Millennium." And don't you listen to these preachers that are preaching a false gospel. You say, Bro. Vayle, who do you think you are?"
Listen, I am who I am, and I am not teaching a false gospel. (See?) I have a witness from Reverend William Branham that no man living has outside of myself. And you can say what you want. And I'm not making a thing of myself. I'm just telling you, you read it and you'll understand. And you don't fool around anymore. Because, I'm going to tell you something: people are disapproving God. It's what It said here. I read It in Peter to you and showed you, they disapproved Him. Are you disapproving God today? Now, that's a serious question.
We don't sing "How I love Jesus', and then disapprove Him. That's wolves in sheep clothing. That's liars, that's a hypocrite. And I'm not standing before you as a hypocrite. Now, look it, I could lie to you, God knows my heart, because I can make mistakes, I can lie. Honestly, be intention right. (See?) I can certainly do that. I could certainly do that.
But, I'll tell you one thing: because you see, I'm not a prophet. Now, if a prophet told you a lie, he would be a hypocrite. Now, I'm not a hypocrite before you. (See?) Because, I don't get all the truth. But, I know this one thing: that He is here. That same Rock, that same One that lead them is here to take us in. And that's Jesus of this hour revealed. (See?)
Now, we're growing right up plumb to the Holy Spirit Himself. The Capstone has come on down. Don't you believe lies that He hasn't come down, He's come down. And you realize that this little group is building right around Him Who is the Head? Now listen, begin to look at your stature today brother/sister, don't go looking down in the woods anymore on some back lot, some garbage. Listen, we're not living beside a used car lot. We're living just outside the gates of the City. And the Word yet transformed, there's nothing but us going in. "And outside are dogs, (male prostitutes) whoremongers, sorcerers, he that maketh and loveth a lie; they have their part in the lake of fire." [Rev 21:8]
Listen, we're not fooling anymore brother/sister. That's what Bro. Branham said, "What puzzled me," he said, the lack of sacredness, (he said) He's here, and people chewing gum." Look it, my God, I'm in the same boat, I'm going to tell you. There's anyone prayer to go forth, solemnize me, Lord, as You never solemnized. It's not fooling anymore...
Listen brother/sister, the Word of God said absolutely that, "He's that froward to me, I'll be froward to him." [Proverbs] He said, "You hold Me in a funny manner, or I'll hold you in a bigger funnier manner." Men are talking wrong these days, they're preaching wrong.
What is this Jesus? He's here. He's here, came down in that Pillar of Fire, that same One. (See?) The Body's up there. That Body left that Mercy Seat. But, that doesn't mean there's no mercy. He climbed on the Throne showing He is Melchisedec. Because, Melchisedec is a Priest King. And He said in Revelation 3, in the last Church Age, He said, "Now, I'm standing in the door and knocking." He said, "Come out, (He said) come out of that situation." He said, "Let Me in, let Me talk to you. I want to talk back and forth, eat with you, sup with you; and you eat on Me and live on Me." And He said, "You'll never die."
And He said, "I want to tell you something: "He that overcometh, I'll grant to sit in My Throne, as I have overcome and now sit down in My Father's Throne." Doesn't say, 'Mercy Seat', says, 'Father's Throne'. Bro. Branham said in 'Souls in Prison', he said, "He tore the Seals off, and climbed on the Throne." Which Jesus do you believe in? What God are you talking about? Who's here? That's the One you believe. You believe in that.
Get baptized in water, let Him fill you with the Holy Ghost; go on your way, rejoice and... You missed everything rotten, but you aren't going to miss one thing good. Like old Daddy Bosworth said, He said, "If you must doubt, doubt your doubts, (he said) they're unreliable." Never doubt your faith. Where did you get the faith at this hour to see what other people haven't seen? You didn't get it out of your boots. If you got doubt out of your boots you're a hypocrite this morning brother/sister. You just messed up by pretending, you'll never get off this ground.
"God, I love you," sure. You can be foolish virgin, make the Second Resurrection. I don't know what's going to happen. But, I'm going to tell you, If you believe with all your heart that He's raised amongst us from the dead, you've made that confession, you're not going to stay here, nothing will hold you here. Why? Because, He's here to do it. Now, if He left it to me, I haven't got a prayer. Oh, if you left it to me, you're looking at the one guy that's going to miss it. But, I'm looking to Him. Okay, take the Name of Jesus with you. Love you all, you're wonderful people, because God made wonderful, I didn't. You didn't. Oh, the wonder of it all. He loves you, take you through.
Sing, 'Take the Name of Jesus with you'.
