The Sanctifying Word

Bro. Lee Vayle Aug 28/1966

I want to talk tonight about ‘The Sanctifying Word,’ because that’s what It is. Before we even read John 17: let’s pray.

Heavenly Father, we thank You tonight for ourselves. We could be, Lord, a little bit unrighteous, and a little bit proud, and begin thanking You for a lot of things, even Yourself Lord, and not fully mean it. But, tonight we thank You for ourselves, in relationship to the fact of You chose us, and before the foundation of the world, and brought us, O God, to this place by Your grace. And we’re very thankful, Lord. Not as though we would turn anyone away, or think for one minute that no one else could be within than predestinated rank. But, we thank You Lord, that You have brought us to this place, because it was of Your grace. And surely Lord, this is the most wonderful, wonderful thing, that we should be part of this inheritance which is in Christ Jesus.

O God, may we never forget It. May we realize what You have done. Lord Jesus, personally in these vessels. Then, O God, we’ll begin to go a little further, than we ever have gone before. For Lord, we know that until we begin to appreciate the very fact of ourselves in Jesus Christ, and what it means, we’ll never get one bit further than that. We’ll always have our doubts, and our failures, and misunderstandings. But, O God, when we count the faithful to You. What You have done, then we know Lord, we’re on our way, it’s got to go onward and upward at all time. And now Lord we thank You for the Word, you’ve given us. And we pray, Lord, that it would be wonderful tonight to understand, open our hearts and minds in a new way. Lord, cultivate us, tonight we pray as the husband, and cultivate that seed that’s come up out of the ground.

Bring us into a full harvest, O God, with the latter rain. Pour it out upon us. Ripen us, O Lord, in the Sun of Righteousness, until the first fruits of this Age come forth ripened, for the blessing hand of Almighty God to place within His garment. This is our desire Lord. And we believe Lord, you heard us. This therefore, will be our answer, even according to Your Word. Now, make every word to count Lord, and every word true. And then, Lord, make that Word come forth in lives in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

1. In John 17: we’re going to read [verses] 6-8. Then we’ll read [verses] 14-21.

(6) I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of

the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept

thy word.

(7) Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are

of thee.

(8) For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they

have believed that thou didst send me.

[John 17:14-24]

(14) I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because

they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

(15) I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou

(should) keep them from the evil.

The literal translation, is ‘out of hand of the evil one’.

(16) They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

(17) Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

(18) As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into

the world.

(19) And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified

through the truth.

(20) Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on

me through their word;

(21) That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that

they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast

sent me.

(22) And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be

one, even as we are one:

(23) I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that

the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou

hast loved me.

(24) Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where

I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou

(loved) me before the foundation of the world.

2. Now, Jesus said that He had performed and successfully accomplished two commitments from God, given Him from God, thereby fulfilling His ministry to the Elect. Now let’s notice again what I said, that Jesus in His prayer said, that He had performed, and successfully accomplished His two, His two commitments from God. And thereby fulfilled His ministry to the Elect. Now, you’ll find the first one in verse 6.

[John 17:6, 8]

(6) I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of

the world: …

I have manifested they name. Secondly, in verse 8.

(8) … I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them…

There were two things that Jesus did, He manifested the name of God…and He gave the words of God. And both of these were given to the Elect, and to nobody else. Even though, many heard them, It was only given to them. To explain this in my estimation, He fulfilled Isaiah 9:6, where It is written, (Isaiah 9:6)

(6) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government

shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful,

Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

3. In His earthly ministry, I believe He fulfilled the first two names, …Wonderful, and Counsellor. And at present, He is the mighty God, and is to be soon, the everlasting Father, and the Prince of Peace. I do not believe that the last two names have been fulfilled…but, only the first three. And the first two were fulfilled in His earthy ministry because we know the name ‘wonderful’, or word ‘wonderful’, adjective, in the Hebrew means ‘miracle’, and all that pertains to it. Therefore, His name was called ‘miracle worker’, which He certainly was. And secondly, He was called Counsellor, because he was the One who brought the Word, or the counsel of Almighty God to the Elect. Now, first of all let us consider how He manifested the name ‘Wonderful’ to the Elect of Almighty God.

Now, to Israel, the name of God is the unpronounceable name of ‘Jhvh’. We call it ‘Jehovah’, by putting in the two vowels, ‘e’ and ‘o’, but, we do not know if they are the vowels, or, if those vowels should be in there at all. The name of God is unpronounceable, just like God Himself is un-see-able. No man can see God, and is. Neither can any man pronounce His name. Now, His name cannot be pronounced. But, it can be manifested. For though God cannot be seen, it can be proven that He is because He can be seen or, manifested, by the evidence of His creation, and the works within His creation.

4. Now, let’s go to John 3: for just a minute, and see how this works. That’s the gospel now, and in verse 2.

(2) The same (Nicodemus) came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: …

Now, what’s he calling Him? A teacher, because He preached, and taught.

(2) …for no man can do these miracles that Thou doest, except God be with him.

Because no man can do these miracles out here, except that God be with him. Now, Nicodemus was saying here, “I’m looking at You as a man. And You’ve got me confused, because I know that You’re simply a man. Now, the best I can do in my mind, is to figure that You’ve been sent from God to teach us. Because no man can do what You’re doing. In fact, there’s only one person can do what You’re doing, as I’m looking upon You…and that’s God.” So, therefore, You’ve got to link up with God somehow, because I can see God, and what You’re doing. And you’re not doing it, because no man can do those things. See?

5. Now, notice also in John 15:24

(24) If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: …

Jesus Himself, has admitted that the works that He did, …as you know in other verses, for He said, the Father Himself, doeth the works. He admitted here, and backed up what Nicodemus has said, that He as a man, was absolutely incapable of performing the works which people saw manifested, and demonstrated before them. So, therefore, it was God doing it in spite of the fact that the man seemed to be doing it. In spite of the fact that the man was saying it, that did not count. The Spirit had to be God because no man could say these things, and then they come to pass because it is impossible that the words of a man could bring into existence, or substance, what they were seeing.

6. Now, with that also, we go to Romans 1st chapter, verses 18-20, to see what Paul says about it.

(18) For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness

and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

See? They don’t believe it, they don’t go all the way, they don’t go down the line. It’s not line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little, word for word. No siree. No sir. It’s not a bunch of guys out there in the Mafia that’s doing this. This is what happens in religious circles. See? Now,

(19) Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

See? What can be known of God, has been manifested and shown to them

(20) (So) the invisible things of him (the great invisible God, see) …(is) clearly (brought into full view) …

How? Through the creation of the world, and the things that are created, being understood. Receiving even understanding of God, by the things that are made. Even His eternal power and Godhead, shows that they are without excuse. God by creation, has so thoroughly manifested Himself, though He is invisible, and un-see-able, He by His creation, and demonstration in creation, has absolutely brought every man into condemnation of hell, by the very fact that He has shown Himself so superbly to them, through His power of creation, and manifestation within that creation. See?

7. Now, also in John 5:36- [38]

(36) But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the

Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness

of me, that the Father hath sent me.

(37) And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me.

(You) have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

(38) And (you) have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him

(you) believe not.

You said you don’t believe Him. He said, you’ve never seen Him. You’ve never heard Him. But he said, I've absolutely proven to you that I have been sent from Him, because of the demonstrations which I performed in myself, I could not do. I am the one that God sent, and I am the one you saw God perform these things, and you know that I can’t do them. It’s absolutely, God. So, therefore, when you saw these works, when you saw what was done, you saw what can be seen of God right here. So, therefore, you saw Him, I’m not playing on these words now, you get what I’m saying. Just get what I’m saying, because we’re here a little while, if not tonight, tomorrow night.

8. All right. John 9:3-4

(3) Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

What was that? The healing of the boy, blind. See?

(4) I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night

cometh, when no man can work.

So, here was Jesus Himself, absolutely manifested the name of God. Because that’s what Israel had. Israel did not have a definite manifestation of God per se. In other words, they didn’t have something out here, like living flame of fire. They couldn’t worship the sun. They couldn’t worship the moon. They couldn’t take something that’s carved out. They couldn’t pick some phenomena here. No sir. They were forbidden all of those things. Now, God was invisible to them. But, God came into full visibility, …now listen…God came into full visibility in those works. They actually saw God. The name of God, Jehovah. The unpronounceable name of the invisible God, worked every single one of those miracles that they saw. They saw God. See? Now, what is the exact reason for manifesting God…or as the Bible said…manifesting His name?

Because the name is the same. You can’t separate God from His name. See? God is in His name. What manifests, that the God by the name of Jehovah, is in their midst. Because that’s exactly right. The God Jehovah, was in their midst. It is to bring the second commitment into itself, which gives Him His second name, which proves that He has the right to do what Isaiah calls Him next; which is Counsellor. These tremendous works that He did were there in order to give Him the right to bring forth the Word of God to the Elect.

9. Now, let’s go back and get our Bible parallel. We go back to Exodus 4:1-[9] Now, here it is.

(1) And Moses answered and said, (unto God) behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not

appeared unto (you).

Now, why not? Why shouldn’t they say, “Because no man can see God? He appeared unto you? Ha…that’s a laugh. Now look, we know these things. See? "We know these things." This is people’s attitude, always been the attitude, of the people. "Why God appeared to you…that’s a joke. Why, He couldn’t do that.” And Israel knew it would be a joke. But, Moses knew it would be just a joke to those fellows. Said, ‘Why you couldn’t see God in the first place.”

(2) And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said,

A rod.

(3) And he said, Cast it on the ground. And (Moses) cast (the rod) on the ground, and (the rod) became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.

(4) And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the

tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:

(5) That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of

Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.

(6) And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy

bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold,

his hand was leprous as snow.

(7) And he said, Put thine hand (again) into thy bosom again. And he put his hand

into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was

turned…as his other flesh.

(8) And it shall come to pass, (said God) if they will not believe thee, neither

hearken to the voice of the first sign, …

10. The voice of the first sign. He said, “Moses, instead of you talking, I’m going to give you something so tremendous, it’ll talk for you. You don’t need to do your own talking. I’ll do something that’ll talk. I won’t say a word.” Then He said, "they will be ready to listen." Huh? Certainly.

(8) And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to

the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

(9) And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs,

neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river,

and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the

river shall become blood upon the dry land.

Now, you can see here exactly, that God was giving Moses the evidence of Himself to the public, in order that they would listen to what Moses had to convey to them, in order to deliver them. Imagine that. These are the people that wanted deliverance. These are the people needing God. They’ve got a promise of God’s deliverance. And they’re so dumb, and so stupid. Yeah. So, dumb, and so stupid. And yet, I’ll bet you, that there wasn’t an Israelite who wasn’t saying, “Isn’t it true that God said to Abraham, we’re going to get out of here? O Lord, it’s got to be time for You to bring us out of here. Yeah, that’s been almost four hundred years. Yeah, yeah, that’s it, that’s it, yeah, yeah.” You get the picture? Apply it today, use your minds and your hearts, to see if you get what I’m trying to get across to you.

11. They had this promise. It was time to go. They were screaming for it, they were too dump and too stupid... spiritually... to know their left hand from their right hand to get out. Yeah. Are you thinking? Huh? You thinking? Do you begin to see the Twentieth Century? Or, are you sitting here tonight, and you’re so smug in your own thoughts. “Glory to God, Bro. Vayle. Millions now living will never die. Hallelujah, I’m going to make the Rapture.” You ain’t going nowhere. But, when it’s over, you’ll say, “Bro. Vayle, I would to God, I listened to you. But, you seem like a kind of smart aleck preacher there, and a tough one.” Oh, I know what people think about me. I know. But, I’ll be on Judgement Day, on that roll call, for preaching this gospel and this Twentieth Century, preaching It just the way I’m preaching It now.

Because if Israel was so smart, how come they had to have something super, super, to get them out of the mess they were in? And they, were the elect of God, looking for His coming. Those today, don’t even believe nothing. God said, “I know that, here’s what I will do. I’ll give you evidence. I’ll give you a sign. I’ll prove It’s Me. I told you the cost.” See? What do you think of the Apostle Paul?

12. It’s over here in 1 Corinthians 2:1-5

(1) …brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, (neither did Moses, he stuttered) declaring unto you the testimony of God.

(2) For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

The very thing that would stumble them. The very thing that would stumble Israel, He said, “I’ll push it right under your noses.” The very thing that ...?... would turn down, too. He pushed it right under their noses. And William Branham came on the scene, he took Jesus’ name and pushed it under every Trinitarian’s nose. You think he could teach them that? Oh, come on, there never was a man that God ever sent to this earth here to people, but He took the very thing that was there for the little lovely saints, and pushed it right under their noses. Said, “You’re wrong.” See? Who was Jesus to Paul? Jehovah. “Who art thou Lord?” He said to the Pillar of Fire. “I’m Jesus, I’m Jehovah.” And he said, “Don’t you ever believe anybody that preaches another Jesus.” They didn’t. They preached a second person of the Godhead. They took away His name, and gave Him a title.

(3) And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

Why? Because he knew they wouldn’t believe unless something happened, tremendous.

(4) And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

(5) That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

13. God sent this man with such a panoply of tremendous acts in the Holy Ghost, that there wasn’t one man could ever gainsay Paul. His power was so authoritative, and authentic, he could say to those who’d come against him. “What came the Word out of you, or came the Word of God unto you?” [1 Cor 14:36] Now, he said, “If the Word of God never came out of you, but, It came unto you,” then He said, “Then if the man is a prophet or spiritual,” spiritual, I said, ‘spiritual’, that’s too much. But he said, “You claim you’re spiritual.” Huh? Never mind that prophet.” [raps on the pulpit] He said, “You’ll admit to what I say is the commandment of God. Because I benefited. The days of whoopee, that’s right Paul, that’s Christ talk…Christ talk, …that’s strength talk. Is it? They said, “Move over bud” Did they? Sure, they did. They were divided already. What about the Twentieth Century?

14. Let’s go to Deuteronomy 18: 20-22

(20) But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, …

Huh? There it is.

(20) …which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

(21) (As) thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the

LORD hath not spoken?

(22) When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow

not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken,

but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid

of him.

Brother/sister, there is no man living who can come to you in the name of the Lord, with ‘Thus Saith the Lord’, and have anything come to pass unless he is that kind of a prophet. He can have a vision. He can have a vision like I’m standing here now, with my eyes open. And see every single person in this room. Now, let’s say that happens, and I had a vision in the blackness of night, maybe last night at two o’clock in the morning, and I saw everybody here even Sister Seath's feet sticking out, because I can’t see her. That’s right. Can’t see her, but, a lady sat in the corner, believe I even know who it was, didn’t see her face, Bro. Ivan here, maybe Sis. Ivan, with her feet sticking out. Now, Sis. Marion here I believe, in a blue dress with that gold colored sweater on. …?... in each one. I had this vision here. And I said, “I came to you, and something else had happened during that meeting, I would see Sis. Seath come and take her glasses off, healed.”

15. And I'd sit in this building and I said, “Thus Saith the Lord” and you were sitting here, I would tell you Sis. Seath would not be healed. Because I am not a prophet. That vision could be so real, …it would never come to pass because I am not a prophet. If I simply came here and I said “Folk, I had a vision last night.” Stood in this door, refuse to come in this room, until they were all seated. I said, “Brother, I would even come in blind-folded, or leave you so I walk backward, and I stand with my people at the back.” And I got up there and I said, “Listen you people, I want you to know something. I had a vision last night, are you setting …?... ?” “That’s right Bro. Vayle.” Now listen, by the grace of God, I hope it is true. And I’m believing that Sis. Seath will take her glasses off. She took her glasses off. But I never said, “Thus Saith the Lord.” Because I’m not a prophet.

16. There’s a man named Jarret, and I’m calling him his name because I’ve got his letter and everything at home. He signed it, he said,

“Bro. Branham said, the West Coast would go down… (I’m just making the dates up, because I don’t remember)…July 8th of ‘57”. He said, “Bro. Branham made a mistake.” He said, “He shouldn’t have said, ‘Thus Saith the Lord’. Why he said, “Look at my case, I had a vision, it was absolutely phenomenal. I stood before the people, and I said, ‘Thus Saith the Lord’ and it failed.”

And I said, “Exactly, it had to fail,” because he was a false prophet.

Said, “Bro. Vayle, you’re judging.”

Listen, you talk to God. You tell God that. Don’t you criticize me. You criticize God. You call Him a liar. Don’t call Lee Vayle a liar, because I’m believing what God said. See? I’m putting it right where it is. I’m believing God. Now, you can say, “I’m not going to call God a liar.” Then, you’re going to believe this. If you’re scared, that’s good. And we’d better be scared. I even hate to say just what I said a while ago, …"you call God a liar." I don’t like that, because I’ve got a funny feeling in my heart, saying it. But, I’ve got to say it, to punctuate the truth in this dense generation, that think they know something, and they don’t know anything. Because God said they don’t.

17. And when a person is miserable, wretched, naked, and blind and don’t know it, they don’t know anything. I tell you. “When a prophet (speaks) in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing (that) the Lord (has) not spoken, …the prophet (spoke) it presumptuously: thou (shall) not be afraid of him”. [Deut 18:22] It tells you right here, a prophet of God, with this God-given ability to speak to the people in order to make the people follow him, because he stands in the very place of Almighty God. Then, somebody else comes along, and they’ve got a vison of so, and say ''Thus Saith the Lord' you watch the spirit.

Every single time it’ll fail, it can’t happen. Otherwise, where are we going to stand. Where am I going to build my faith? Where am I going to put my hope? God tells you something here. Said, “Listen to that prophet I sent there with ‘Thus Saith the Lord’, that comes in My Name with ‘Thus Saith the Lord’. And then he turns somebody loose on me? Oh, come on now. Oh, look at the God who keeps the Spirit going as It is, and now to walk and keep time and as Almighty God has that sun up there, just keep moving exactly right and everything moving around that sun. You just make everything time by the way God’s universe is clocked. And you tell me God let down here? Let His Elect be fooled? Why He says, “If it came down to time, everybody but the very Elect is going to be fooled.” And it tells you right here after it’s going to be done. They’re going to listen to people who don’t have ‘Thus Saith the Lord’. See?

18. Now notice, the close tis between the two commitments, to the Elect. The close tie between the two commitments; …manifesting the Name, …bringing the Word. Both to the Elect. Works and Word. Or the right to be the Counsellor because of the miracles. Jesus was the Counsellor, because of the miracles. Do you follow me? We have that life. Just like Moses. Just like Paul. We have the life. Now you say, “Bro. Vayle, I wonder about a fellow like Isaiah. I wonder about Jeremiah. Where were their signs?” Oh, brother/sister, don’t you see it? Listen to me, the whole Bible is in the Book of Genesis. The whole Bible is in the first five Books. From thereon, the rest of the Bible is nothing but history, and the further evolution or ramification of the Word given in the first five Books.

That’s why you’ve got two group men…Moses, Paul. Check it for yourself. Go ahead, I challenge you. You won’t find one thing in the rest of the Bible, that’s not in those seed Books, right back there. Moses and Paul. Then, at the end time you’ve got to send Elijah. See? Simple.

19. Now, the tie-in, the right to be counsellors because of the miracles. John 10:22-38 That’s the gospel of John, of course.

(22) And it was at Jerusalem (and at) the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.

(23) And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.

(24) Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How l ong dost thou make us to doubt?... (Huh?)

How long do you make us to doubt? They follow only what God could do, and said, “Fella, ah…ah…I just there was something else. I just wish there was something to settle it. I wonder, do you think maybe He’d do something our way? Oh.”

(24) ...tell us plainly.

“Are you the Messiah?” It’s a good thing I wasn’t there. I’d have said, “No, I’m your ancestral grandmother.” Huh? I’d have been about as sarcastic as any man living could be. Do you know if this Bible were not written in the King James version, but, from the literal Greek as It is, as I read it, in my studies, you’d be surprised at how Jesus reacted toward this kind of stuff. Do you know when He was at the tomb of Lazarus, when they were saying if He’d been here, it wouldn’t have happened. Do you know that He was literally, he wasn’t groaning within Himself. But the expression in the Greek, was one of complete disappointment in the people. Just an anger of irritation right there. Sure. This makes it sound like Jesus was so sweet, so extending, nothing bothered Him. Don’t you believe it brother/sister.

(25) Jesus answered them, I told you, and (you) believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they (have already told you who I Am.)

20. Why are you asking such a ridiculous question? What is the matter with you? Now, apply it today. If they said this about God Himself, what will they say about an ordinary man born in flesh? But, “Oh ho…whaaa… Oh boy, brother, I have heard everything,” says these DD Phd’s and the hierarchy, and the ladies go, “Hm, hmm, hm, hmm. Dr, Jones says, …Hm, hmm, that’s right.” How are you going to say that God sent a man? Huh? Don’t you know the Bible said they killed every prophet, or ran him out of town? Huh? That’s the procedure for the religious people to do to God’s anointed. I said, “Religious people”. I didn’t say they were anathema. God never criticized the heathen. He criticized the Jews. And who are they? They were the only people that God had any respect for. And if you don’t think they had something. Let me tell you something that the Jews had working for them.

21. Let’s turn over here to Romans, right to Romans 9: to open that. Listen to what the Israelites had in the days of Jesus Christ, in Paul’s day. Romans 9:4-5

(4) Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

(5) Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning (Jesus) Christ came, …

What more could you want? Do you know the only thing they didn’t have? Was sitting in the very throne of God, glorified, and everything else. And what did they do? They killed and crucified Him. Am I telling you the truth? Huh? Certainly, it’s the truth. They did it to Him. What did they do to the prophet?

22. Well, let’s keep reading. 10th [chapter] of John, now listen in the 26th verse.

(26) But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

(27) My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

(28) And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

(29) My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

(30) I and my Father are one.

(31) Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

They said, “We’ve had it.” [BV raps the pulpit] What about those works? Oh, forget the works. That doesn’t mean a thing. What does it mean? I produced it for their education. After all, you see when the Apostles died, there were no more works. See? You know, people think that when Bro. Branham kept preaching all those sermons about works, works, …you know, the works of God. And all the manifestations. You’d almost think for one minute that he was talking about everything in this Age, is manifestations. He wasn’t. He was just telling you about his ministry. Just the way Jesus did here. What does it mean about His works? See? All right.

(32) Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

(33) (They said), For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy;

and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

(34) Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, (Don’t you know your Bible? You) are gods?

That’s right in the Psalms, the 82nd Psalm.

(35) If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

23. Who does the Word of God come to? The prophet. The prophets were Gods, …G-o-d-s. Moses was God to Aaron. Why to Aaron? He was God to Israel, but why to Aaron? Because Aaron was the one to whom He was talking. And Aaron could only talk, as Moses talked. And Moses could only talk, as God talked. See? You’re God's. You could call them God's unto whom the Word of God came, and the Scriptures cannot be broken.

(36) Say (you) of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

What else could He be, but, that prophet? What else could He be than, being that great prophet? He had to be the Son of God. He had to be God. The rest were gods. And they just wrote about Him. But, He was that Word. See? Do you follow it? All right.

(36) Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, …

24. How did He sanctify them? He sanctified them before the eyes of the world, by the mighty acts and wonders He did. He sanctified them there in the river, by the dove coming down. He sanctified them by the voice of thunder. He sanctified them to the three Apostles on the Mount Transfiguration. But, He sanctified them to the whole of Israel, by His dynamic ministry. ...?... He said, “Get out.”

(37) If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.

See? The works sanctified Him.

(38) But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: …

He said, “Start somewhere, and start believing.” Can you get folks to believe about Bro. Branham? No sir. But look, don’t you know nobody had to be that, “Oh look they say, his frittered away. We had a greater ministry. Glory to God.” Say, “Hold it, not one of those had ‘Thus Saith the Lord’.” Show me anyone that had it. They don’t listen. No, they don’t listen. See? But, He said,

(38) … believe the works: that (you) may know, and believe, that the

Father is in me, and I in him.

Start somewhere. Did they, do it? They wouldn’t do it. See?

25. Also, with that I read already, John 15:24. Let’s read It again.

(24) If I had not done among them the works which none other man did,

they had not…sin: …

How about that? See?

(24) If I had not done among them the works which none other man did,

they had not…sin: …

Well, Bro. Vayle, that doesn’t shock me because in my day, they …?... Well what about it in Israel’s day? They had the Sacrificial Lamb. See? But the Lamb didn’t take any effect, when they turned this work down. You say, “Well Bro. Vayle, when I had Jesus sitting upon the Mercy Seat, and you see, I don’t believe the work and I’ve got Him.” Oh no, you don’t have Him. I’m sorry. You’ve just cut your throat right there. You denied Him. I don’t care if you’ve talked in tongues, or, danced up and down, saying you’ve got the Holy Ghost. That doesn’t mean a thing to me. It just proves that you haven’t got it. You deny the end time Word. See? You say, "who are you to say so.

?" I’m here to say so because the vindicated prophet himself, said so. And he was vindicated.

26. And my Bible said that when man that comes to you in the name of the Lord, with ‘Thus Saith the Lord’, and It comes to pass…you better listen to him, or I’m going to pass the Bible. I don’t believe the Old Testament. Well, we don’t know who God …?... Well then, forget it. Forget everything. Just forget everything. You don’t believe that, anyway. Religious hypocrite. I know that sounds like harsh. But what else can I say? I have to brand myself before God, I’d have to say the same thing about myself, or my children. They’re a million miles from God, unless something happens.

Do you think I’d back down for one minute, then try to preach a sermon that’d get them into heaven? Huh? I’ve heard many a preacher, …I’ve been stupid giving myself enough, to think that a man had enough to get to heaven, when in my heart I knew he never could have been born again, and then he said some kind of testimony. I’d do my best to preach them right into heaven from his casket. And I’ve seen many a preacher, try the same thing. I’m through with that kind of nonsense. I’m not preaching anybody into heaven.

27. And I’m not preaching anybody to hell, either. Just preach the Word of God and let the chips fly. I’d just as soon a fool cut my throat, I’ll still stand up, that’s my nature, I’ll still stand up to be counted on the Word of God. Because this is not my word, It’s His Word. See?

(24) If I had not done among them the works which none other man did,

they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me

and my Father.

The very works that Jesus did, brought the Father right in to full view before the people. I said, the very works that Jesus did, brought the Father into full view of the people. They saw God. That’s right. Amen, that’s exactly the Bible. Why? Because it was written in the Bible. Huh?

28. I’m not jumping on you now. I’m just preaching serious, that’s all. Verse 22

(22) If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now

they have no cloak for their sin.

Do you realize what I just said? I said, when Jesus gave him the Word, they had no cloak for their sin. The Bible says the Laodicean Church Age is naked. Is naked, is naked. How can this age be naked? Unless God sends a man with the ministry and the Word…can’t do it. See? The work was completely to start. See? As Jesus did. But, notice please, that there has to be even before these two, the testimony of Scripture, as to whether even these two things are correct. Supposing Jesus came on the scene, and He said, “Look at the works that I have done.” Now, listen to me. And then He prays sanctimoniously, “Father, I have finished the work that You gave Me to do. I have manifested Thy Name. I have given them the Word.” And they say, “Now, just hold it, right there.” See? Where, is It here?

My, you talk about the United States government being made up of a three-fold branch with its checks and its balances, in order to see the government is correct. Brother, that ain’t nothing. That doesn’t mean we’ve got it here. Here Jesus, did every single thing that was absolutely vindicated as that One, then they turned right around and He poked and pulled over here now.

29. John 15:25 Listen to It.

(25) But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

It tells you right here in the Bible, there would be a ministry that would absolutely vindicate this One as the Messiah, and they hated Him just the same. There would be no reason for it. Show me one time Jesus said anybody had any reason to hate Him.

30. All right, let’s go to John 5:39

(39) Search the scriptures; for in them (you) think (you) have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. (See?)

The witness of the Scripture that this ministry had to come to earth, and do what it did… through the whole Old Testament. His ministry is there. His birth is there. His rejection is there. His Resurrection is there. His ascension is there. And the Gentile Bride coming there, is all in the Old Testament. His Second Coming is in the Old Testament. How He comes, is there. What He does when He comes, is there. And what’ll happen after He comes, is there. And after that, it’s still there. Because Isaiah is full of the New Jerusalem. Even as Daniel is full of the Great White Throne Judgement. And the Books as it’s been written, it’s all there. It’s all there. And they claim they knew the Word.

And they said, “We know the Word. This is it.”

He said, “Hold it right there. Why don’t you know this?”

They said, “Because we’re not interested. Because we like it our way.”

And as Bro. Branham said it so beautifully, “Jesus Christ came according to the Scripture. But, not according to their interpretation of Scripture.” See? Jesus was absolutely satisfied that all the requirements that God had put upon Him, had been fulfilled. And the Scripture was fulfilled, and nothing left out of it. He delivered His Message, based upon His mighty miracles.

31. Notice what He said in John 17:4

(4) I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou

gavest me to do.

What were the works? To manifest His name, and to bring the Word of God to the Elect. Now, will you please notice something here. At no time did Jesus accept a challenge for a showdown. He never did. It was all Scriptural fulfillment. That’s right. And when He had delivered His Word, there was no place else to go. There’s nothing left. That’s right. It was all over. Now watch. What comes from this vindication? …?... ministry, which would manifest the name, to see how it was done. Because I read the Scripture to prove it. Then, you saw how it was, that He brought the Word, to prove it to you. Which He did, to the Elect. Now listen, He then prays the Father, for the full effect of the ministry, to fall upon and place positionally, the Bride or the Elect. He prayed for the full effect of His ministry to fall upon, and place the Bride positionally, because of His ministry.

32. Now, we read It in John 17:17-26

(17) Sanctify them through thy truth: …

Listen. Sanctify them through thy truth. Separate them unto Thyself, to the holiness which You demand.

(17) …thy word is truth.

(18) As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them

into the world.

(19) And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

(20) Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

(21) That they all may be one; (See?) as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

(22) And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

(23) I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

When’s this going to take place, the world’s going to know? It tells you over there in the Book of Revelation, it’s at the White Throne Judgement. Do you look for the world to know that now? Oh, come on. The world doesn’t know, for nothing. Why, He tells you in the Book of Revelation, He said, “In that day they’re going to bow. They’re going to know that I have loved Thee.” That’s at the White Throne Judgement. Then, carried over into New Jerusalem. See? Certainly. Don’t get your chronology off, just because Jesus went back there two thousand years ago. It wasn’t just one, two, three, four…it happened then.

33. Let me show you something here. Listen, verse 24,

(24) Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

There are two things you’ll notice here, that this Word did. The full effect of the ministry of Jesus coming to the Elect. Because they believed the Word, and the works. It placed them positionally, as to their identification. It identifies them, then, It gives their destiny. Identification, is found in 21-23.

(21) That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, …

Now, who’s this saying here? Jesus is saying this. Father in me. See?

(21) …that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

(22) And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

(23) I in them, …

34. Now, who is the I this time? The Logos. See? They all may be one, verse 21, is Thou Father, the Logos, art in Me…physical Jesus. And I in thee. How? The man Himself, baptized into God by the Holy Ghost falling on Him. God baptizing a human man right into God. See? Now, that’s only be one in us. See? There it is again, man absolutely linked up with God.

(22) And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they

may be one, even as we are one:

(23) I in them, (the Logos) and thou in me, …

See? That Word in there, is Jesus speaking back to the Logos.

(23) … that they may be made perfect in one; …

Which is what? God dwelling in human flesh. They could then take place, the Bride in One, God dwelling in human flesh. Sons of God, baptized into God forming that body.

(23) …that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved

them, as thou hast loved me.

Now notice, that verse is their identification. And that, is their position in Christ. But notice their destiny now. Father I will that they also whom Thou has given Me…and what are they? They, are thoroughly identified in Godhead, through the same baptism of the Lord Jesus Christ, by the Logos, … (see?) …I will that they also whom You also have given Me, be with Me where I am. Position identified and predestinated. See? The ministry of the Word, believing the works and the Word puts them into Christ, in full identification with Christ, and gives them their inheritance in Christ, where He is, there they may be also. And nobody, but this kind of the people, will be in the throne with Jesus Christ. I don’t care how you argue it. Because I’m in the whole. Identification, and destiny, are bound up in receiving this Word. The Voice of the sign, and the Voice of the Word. See? Only the Word produces this, not works. See?

35. Remember, you believe the Voice of the sign. It’s pointing you to the Word. The signs were there to give you the Word. See? It’s the Word that sanctifies, and gives the identification indefinitely. Only the Word produces It, not works. Not one Word is said about the works producing this, but, contrary-wise, It says in Matthew 7:15-23 Reading only verse 15, though.

(15) Beware of false prophets, …

Who are they? They can show signs and wonders, but they do not have ‘Thus Saith the Lord’. And when they try it, they’ll say, “Every single time, because God said so.” I’m so glad your faith is built upon something that real. And yet people say, “You’ve got to believe in an invisible God as though there’s nothing around to believe that.” Why I tell you, if God didn’t do one more thing, and He doesn’t need to as far as I’m concerned. Then give us the Word though William Branham, we have had more than enough. Because if that Word was given according to the God which It was, and we can prove it to you by the very Word of God. Then, this Word of God has got to come into full effect. Where is it going to come? Right up in the Bride. What’s it going to do? It’s going to sanctify her with her identification and position, right into Glory. Why? Because God said so.

36. Now listen, we’re going on, the works don’t do this…it’s the Word that does it. See? The Voice of the Word of the sign that is the works. Now, [Matthew 7:] verse 21,

(21) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

(22) (Now) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? …

Now, did God command the folks to prophesy? He, said so. He told them to prophesy. Paul said, “I would you prophesy.” [1 Cor 14:5] Did Jesus say to cast out devils? He sure did. Did He say to believe by the work of His hands? He certainly did. Then, if they obeyed Jesus Christ, how can He cast them out? Because they didn’t obey Him. They walked outside of the framework of the Word. And, any man that does a miracle, or uses any power of God, or any authority outside of the framework of that Word, is a literal devil in the eyes of God. That’s why women can not preach. Because God said, “No.” I don’t care if this little lady from Pittsburgh comes to Toronto, wins over the whole town, of two million people on the pews over night. I will still have to stick with the Word of God. Say, “Bro. Vayle, I got…” Don’t give me any newsletters. I’m with the Word. “Oh I’m…” What are you doing? Well, she’s doing it. I’m sticking with God in the corner.

I’d sooner go to hell believing the Word the way I do, then try to believe It their way. Because I’ve got not one Word against me, believing the Word of God the way I believe It. But, I can give you Scripture after Scripture proving, a woman cannot take any authority in the pulpit at all. She cannot come up before any man, and use that Word of God. That’s right. But, they’re doing it. They’re using this outside the Word. Jesus said, “Check the Scripture. Come on. See if I’m in It.” But let a woman check the Scripture, and see if she’s in It. She’s not going to find she’s not in It. What about Deborah? That’s politics. Deborah never once ministered in the temple.

37. Never once was carried the ark. Never once had to do the thing the men had to do. Could the woman prophesy? Sure. Let her prophesy what God told her to prophesy. She can’t take authority. See? He said, [Matthew 7:]

(23) … (I will) profess unto (you), I never knew you: depart from me, …

What do you think He’s going to say to Balaam? Balaam prophesied like nobody, outside of Moses prophesied. Every single thing was right, what he said. And it’s still coming to pass, what he said. Absolutely, coming to pass? Absolutely. Over four thousand years gone by, …still coming to pass. That the Word of God called him a diviner. That he took the weight of the divination. He could have one hand in God’s hand, and the other hand in the hand of the devil. That’s right. Do you think people can’t do that today? Search the Bible and find out. I know people think it’s strange. “Well Bro. Vayle, how in the world can people who’ve got that anointing, do that wrong thing?” I want to ask you a question. How could the devil believing he’s got the Holy Ghost, go against God? Because the Bible said, “Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth.” [Ezek 28:14]

38. And he was anointed by the Holy Ghost, because that’s the only One that there is. And it was the full Word over the Throne of God, and he rebelled against God. Now, there’s your answer right there. See? Works don’t do it. You don’t identify by your works. See? Your works point you to the Word. And if you’re a real Elect, child of God, the minute you see a work, you check and say, “Where does that go? Where does that Word that says that, go?” See? And a man who gets up in the pulpit, and he tells and says, “Listen, I’ve got a little thing from God. I want to help you dear folk. Christ made a covenant with me. And that covenant is now with you, bless your heart. If you give me twenty dollars, God will answer every one of your prayers, Hallelujah.” And I said, “You lying hypocrite, you child of the devil.” When did God tell a thing like that?

And look at all these tongues-talking, Holy Ghost so-called people, jumping up and down, businessmen and the whole bunch of them. “Now look at that man, ain’t he wonderful?” Don’t call him wonderful. Jesus, is wonderful. Don’t stand up and call him one of the Bride. He said, “Bro. Vayle, am I judging?” Do you want Scripture? I said, “Take time to see, it’s over there in Timothy.” So, your blood calls the bluff in every hand. But he’s deceiving the multitudes. See? Works don’t do it. Works do not place this group in Jesus Christ.

39. Now see, their destiny, it is the Lake of Fire. What is it? They failed the Word test. The Word test is in that [Matthew 7:] 15th and 16th verse.

(15) Beware of false prophets, (who) come to you in sheep's clothing, …

They look just like sheep, they act just like sheep.

(15) …but … they are … wolves.

And they are ravening wolves. Ravening wolves, ravenous, they can’t be quieted. They’re grasping and more, and more, and more, they want. Oh, they talk so nice about Jesus. They say, “Hallelujah, sister dear, you don’t need to suffer. Why those that’ve got God, just told me that He’s got a thousand dollars waiting for you. Yeah, sell your house, sister dear.” She sells it. Listen,

(16) (You) shall know them by their fruits…

He says, “There it is…love, joy, peace.” Now hold it, He tells you they’ve got sheep

clothing. So, it’s not just love, goodness, and temperance and kindness and these things… brotherly love, and so

on. Listen, suddenly He comes from sheep and wolves to trees.

(16) …Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

(17) Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree

bringeth forth evil fruit.

(18) A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Now, listen now.

(19) Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast

into the fire.

(20) Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

And then He tells you what it is.

(21) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, … (shall come to Me.)

40. Who are these? These are false prophets. These are they that come with signs and wonders but are off the Word. [skip in the audio] …they are Abraham’s seed. They seek to kill Me, because My Word has no place in you. See? Absolutely, religious. Absolutely, a part of the …?... Absolutely, identified. You think you can’t identify? “Bro. Vayle, you don’t identify with this truth.” You’ve got to be kidding. How do you identify? By a family relationship. How do you identify? By a family relationship based upon your understanding of that Word. I’m Pentecostal. I believe in tongues evidence. I prayed for them. I’m a Baptist, I believe you get it when you see God. Then that places you. I’m a Presbyterian, I don’t believe there’s anything to it. See? I’m a Church of Christ. I don’t believe in miracles, signs and wonders. That passed out. Well that is the framework for this. The staff over the Church, for that went over the Church. And so, when that staff is overfilling, you’ll take it away. You don’t need that place in you, that’s your family. See?

You say, “I stand, I stand right on that Word, by my belief in the vindicated prophet. What tree is in your family? There it is. There’s where they identify themselves with Abraham. See? Certainly. Now, He said, “My Word has no place in you.” Here comes William Branham, prophet of God. Great ministry. Absolutely no Pentecostal. All the Pentecostals put together, couldn’t touch him. And I met the greatest man in Pentecost in America…the late Charles Price. Good old friend of mine. Lived by his business interests, in Calgary, Ab. Certainly, I know what I’m talking about. Charles Price couldn’t hold a candle to William Branham. Wasn’t even in the picture. Well, he was a man of God, wasn’t he? Sure. Using the Word for his day. But, he never once had ‘Thus Saith the Lord’, in any of His meetings. Never did.

41. He never came with the Word. He never had the Word. He was absolutely walking in Pentecostal tradition, and the best of it. And in those days, the Pentecostal tradition was correct, for their day. They had the Holy Ghost. But at that day, they never should have spoke in tongues. They said that was the Baptism. They said, “Seek God, and receive the Holy Ghost. And when you get the Holy Ghost, you’ll be speaking with tongues. When? That’s not the point. They’ll just speak in tongues. If you get the Holy Ghost first? They never made It an issue. They simply called it ‘anointing’. And pretty soon they heard them saying, “You receive the Holy Ghost by speaking in tongues.” Find me the Scripture for that. Oh no brother/sister. When you put it together, you’re wrong, because when you have it first, then, you speak.

Then they say, “Come, get the Holy Ghost.” They equated the gifts of the Spirit with the Holy Ghost Himself. Which is not Scriptural and, a hundred percent, wrong. Like, when Bro. Branham said, “You came to me, and wanted me. And I gave you gifts. You’re not getting me, you’re getting the gifts.” And tongues are a gift. See? They’re wrong.

42. Now, notice also, in [John 8:] verse 40.

(40) But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

Verse 43

(43) Why do (you) not understand my speech? even because (you) cannot hear my word.

Understanding, and hearing the Word, is the same thing. See? Knowing the Message. Knowing the Word of God for your day. Knowing the Scripture. Then Jesus said, “If you only knew the Scripture.” [Jn 4:10] “Oh Jerusalem, Jerusalem, if you’d only known the hour of thy visitation, now it’s too late.” [ Le 13:34; 19:44] What hour is the visitation? Knowing the Word of God for their day. But they’d say, “Israel believed the prophets,” …in Jesus’ day. Unto them, their forefathers for rejecting them, but, they ended up with the blood of the prophet on their hands, for misinterpreting the Word of God for their day. Did you hear what I said? The people in Jesus’ day, when He was there after He was vindicated. They said, “Absolutely, our fathers were wrong.” They said, “What’s there but to accept the prophets?” And Jesus said, “Their blood is on your hands.” Why? Because they misinterpreted the Word of God for their day, and did exactly what their father did…they killed the prophet, Jesus Christ.

43. Let’s go to Matthew 23:28-36

(28) Even so (you) also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within (you) are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. (Notice it?)

Now, listen. Outwardly you appear righteous. I want to ask you a question. Who in the name of common sense is more critical about anybody, than religious people about religious people? There’s nobody more critical. Then, the minute you say you’re a Christian, everybody downtown that doesn’t know one thing about God, looks at you, wanting. Just watch them, see if you can get their money. Now, Jesus said. Was He a liar? He said, “I’m going to flatter these guys. I think I’ll say something nice about them. Yes, I’ll say something nice.” On the outside, you certainly acted exactly right. You got it right there. You work fine. And you think he didn’t even mean that. He certainly did mean it. He said, “Your evidence amongst people.” He said, “After everything you say, is one hundred percent.” See? You tell them that. But, within you’re full of hypocrisy and iniquity, …within.

What you are inside, is a dirty, filthy thing. And it’s murderous to the nth degree.

(29) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,

You’ve got a lot of good things going.

(30) And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.

(31) Wherefore (be you witness) unto yourselves, that (you) are the children of

them which killed the prophets.

(32) Fill (you) up then the measure of your fathers.

(33) (You) serpents, (you) generation of vipers, how can (you) escape the damnation of hell?

44. How do you like that? What do you think of those fine people? You say, “I…I...I don’t buy that. You’re just a bunch of lousy, miserable, cutthroats.” Pretending religion when they said, “Oh, no they weren’t.” They, were true to one wife…most of them. They dedicated themselves to the temple. They brought up their kids right. Absolutely fine, respectful, people. Sure, there was amongst them those that sold those goods and all under the surface. See? But, it does not say that here. It tells you right here, well they tithe, and have the …?... coming. See? But, what was it? Off inside, they weren’t one with that Word. They’re out of the picture entirely, in that realm. Now, reading on,

(34) Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them (you) shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall (you) scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

(35) That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom (you) slew between the temple and the altar.

(36) Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

Why? Because they misinterpreted the Word of God concerning His coming, for that day. Just like I said last night, they’re misinterpreting right today. See?

45. Notice, the works ministry was a sign, and the sign was a voice, according to John 15:22-24. 22-24, comparing the two. I said the works ministry was a sign, and the sign was a voice.

(22) If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak…

(24) If I had not done among them the works which none other man (had done), they had not… sin: …

Now, watch carefully here. All works done by any man, calling himself of God through Jesus Christ, has a sign with a voice. I don’t care who he is.. See? Don’t care who he is. Bro. [Oral] Roberts, Bro. [T.L.] Osborn, Sis. Kathryn Kuhlman, Sis. Belneveren?, Bro. [W.V.] Grant, Bro. [A.A.] Allen, I don’t care who they are. Any preacher in your town, if I’ve got a sign ministry, Bro. Vayle, if Bro. Bob’s got a ministry…Bro. Bob. Doesn’t matter who it is. Any body with a sign at all, that voice has a sign. Because that’s exactly what the Bible teaches.

46. In Deuteronomy 13:1-3 you can hear it for yourself.

(1) If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,

He comes in the trial with you. He comes in and says, “Brother, you’ve been worried about selling your motel. Haven’t you? I’ve got a Word from the Lord, for you. Here is how your motel is going to sell.” And he tells the man, how it’s going to sell. And I know this fellow that told the fellow that I know, who had the motel, because I know the guy who told him. Oh boy, do I know him. Oh boy, do I know that guy. Did I tell you about him? I won’t bother, it’s too lurid. Too filthy. And I can prove it. But, the fellow whose motel sold under those conditions, I said, “Hold it, let’s just stop right there.” I said, “This man that praised you. Didn’t his telling you cause the motel to sell? Or, did God just let him in on a secret, as to how the motel would sell?” And his eyeballs rolled around his head. And he said, “You have a point there.” And there was a point, wasn’t on top of my head, like the point was on his for awhile. See?

47. You can have a genuine sign and wonder. And when you do, it’s got a voice. And the boy said, “pwwp…come here. Well Brother, you’re a wealthy man, I think you can help my missionary cause.” Just like money. See now? Oh, come on. Not because I know the Bride. Just know people. Every sign has a voice. Whether it be a sign or wonder.

(2) And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;

(3) Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: …

Now, listen.

(3) …for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the

LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

The Bible says, that God sent that fellow, to see if you’d be deceived or not to check you out. There’s a genuine sign or a wonder to see if you run away from the Word, that God gave by Moses, or God gave by His Word prophet, to see if you’d leave that Word. To see if you’d go away from It. And thereby, go away from God, because a prophet is a man with the Word. And as Bro. Branham said, “He’s a man that’s got the truth, the most original and insignificant meaning to a prophet is an interpreter of the Word.” That’s what he said. See?

48. Now, notice in the last days anointed men shall rise with sign voices, to revise Deuteronomy 13:1-3. I just read It to you. Let us look at 2 Tim. 3:1-9 Here is the Scripture I was telling you about.

(1) Know (this) also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

What’s a perilous time? When a man is in peril, he is in constant danger. The tricky kind of danger. Because though he is in peril, he is not real hurt. He is not yet dead. But, he’s standing there. But, the steel trap is about to close. Listen,

(2) For men shall be lovers of their own selves, …

Right, groups of people, faithful to Baptists, Presbyterian, Nazarene, Pentecostal,

(2) … covetous, …

Ever see the time when the Baptists didn’t want the Methodists. The Methodists want the Presbyterian, the Pentecostal want them all.

(2) …boasters, …

A million more in ’44. With the phenom of the ages.

(2) …proud, …

I’m proud that I’m one of them. What’s one of them? Oh, that’s Baptist, Presbyterian, Pentecostal, or Nazarene.

(2) …blasphemers, … (Why?)

49. Because they’ve got a blasphemous name…Nazarene, Pentecostal, so on. The word of Laodicea at the end time is the only age my brother, my sister, get this straight…where a woman was called by the name of the Age. Laodicea, was the name of prominent women, that’s right. And today they’re many prominent... “I’m Miss Baptist, I’m Miss Pentecost, I’m Miss Trinity Pentecost, I’m Miss Oneness Pentecost.” What are you? I’m Miss Presbyterian. Oh, you wonder. Oh, Moses, Moses. Huh? Brother/sister, the Bible is written so It’s on every billboard, and every sign post, every telephone post, everything in this world, a million feet high. And the very Age that merchandises, is naked on the side of a refrigerator. They sell cook books, they sell wall paper, they sell cigarettes. They sell everything. A picture, you couldn’t say, you couldn’t miss any Scripture.

If you've been taught by the prophet, I challenge you. There’s no Scripture that doesn’t open your eyes in this Age. All becomes so vividly clear. But, a man would be blind.

(2) …disobedient to parents,

Certainly, that’s anarchy of this age.

(2) …unthankful, unholy,

(3) Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

(4) Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Listen,

(5) Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn

away. (See?)

(6) For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly

women laden with sins, …

50. That’s not just about individual women. That’s about the spirit of iniquity that’s in this Age. Women represent the Church, led away with divers lusts.

(7) Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

What is it telling you here? It tells you these people are in the condition they’re in, not because they’re all out there committing adultery. Batting each other over the head with a baseball bat, cutting each other’s throats, robbing banks. It’s not that. They’re

(7) Ever learning, and never (coming) to the knowledge of the truth.

They never get down to Spiritual revelation, or reality in God. That’s what he tells you here. People read this and oh, boy, that’s a bunch of homosexuals. That’s a bunch of filthy women. That’s a bunch of dirty, what they call soul mating, when they get into physical maybe. And yeah, they see what the… He’s not talking about that. These words describe the Spiritual condition of the Church. It’s a Spiritual fornication, and a corruption that’s going on. Not this other. It tells you that here.

(7) Ever learning, and never (able) to (come to) the knowledge of the truth.

Growing up, and getting better and better, my brother/my sister. The Lutherans had something on the ball, when the Catholics laid down the truth. Then the Lutherans begin to die, and the Wesleyans came along and they had more, and the Pentecostals came along and had more. And latter rain came along and had more. And somebody else came along and had more. And there’s only an enveloping glory, they’re going higher and higher. Today they’ve got restoration of gifts too late. It's over. Now, we’re in the Age of the Bride. They’ll never come to this truth. But, somebody’s going to come to the truth.

51. Now listen.

(8) Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, …

What’s a corrupt mind? A mind that doesn’t have the Word of God exactly according to the Pauline revelation. Because Paul said that in 2 Corinthians 3:2.

(8) …reprobate concerning the faith.

What faith? The true faith. Listen brother/sister, Paul brought it out. He said, “If I say God raised Jesus from the dead, and God hath not raised Him, my faith is vain. If you say Jesus is coming this way, and He comes another way, you’ll never make it.” You say, “Bro. Vayle, God will forgive me.” Don’t you understand what I preached about? How do you think they’re going to get by this, when they didn’t get by? If Israel said He’s coming another way. He came His own way, and they lost Him. There wasn’t one that got Him, when they turned down the Scripture the way He came. See?

52. Now, listen.

(8) … as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist

the truth: …

My brother, my sister, the Bible says, Jannes, and Jambres, and Moses will reappear. And the showdown is on the truth. So then, therefore, at the end time there has absolutely got to be somebody come on the scene, with the truth of the Word of God, just like Jesus. Someone has got to have a showdown, and manifestation. Someone has got to have a sign with a big enough voice. Someone is going to have to do what nobody else could do. Then, stand up and bring the Word. But listen,

(8) …(these) men of (reprobate) minds, …

What is it? They will not go to the Word. They say, “No siree. We’re satisfied, why we know that Bro. Branham had the greatest ministry, but, we don’t doubt that at all. But you see, the thing is, it isn’t by ministry how it goes is by great signs and anybody can have those, to see it.” You see? They forgot that Jesus was nobody else. They forgot that he had ‘Thus Saith the Lord.’ They forgot that he had the Pillar of Fire. They forgot that he had the vindication. That he had the authentication. See? And every time he called their bluff. He was on the platform in Chautauqua Oh, where David du Plessis, and Mr. Gordon Lindsay, and then they said, “You folks, you know we want to talk to you. You know Bro. Branham was a great prophet of God, and he said such wonderful things in that trance, but when it goes to doctrine, he doesn’t know the Word.”

53. Poor Bro. Branham, his friends, and his family were so sorry for him, they didn’t dare tell him, that God told him back in his hotel room, and he came on the platform, he said, “Do you think I don’t know what’s going on down there? Do you think God sends me back and doesn’t tell me what’s going on down here?” He said, “How ridiculous can you get. You call me a prophet, and then say I don’t know the Word of God. When the Word of God comes to the prophet.” Come on. Come on. Show me one man that had ‘Thus Saith the Lord’, outside of William Branham. I challenge you. I had that little hang nail…I told you I had that little hang nail. You pray for it tonight, and heal my little hang nail. You couldn’t do it, you couldn’t heal a little hang nail.

And I’d say to you, all these great men, pray for [inaudible comments] …all my time here, prove to you nine hundred and ninety-nine million, nine hundred and ninety-nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine …oh boy, that’s a heap full of them, isn’t it? And I’d say, “Come up here, in the name of the Lord, and say, ‘Thus Saith the Lord’, that (BV’s hangnail] disappears.” And they say, “Now Bro. Vayle, you’re just puffing yourself up.” All I’ve got is a hang nail. You say, you know God? You’re vindicated to bring the Word? Go ahead. Give me some kind of a sign. Come cure my hang nail. Never mind my eyes…boy could I stand a shot in the eye. Huh? You’re healed. Let me see you heal my hang nail. You can’t…doesn’t mean a thing. “Then Bro. Vayle you believe…” Never mind. Never mind about my believing. The …?... didn’t believe nothing.

54. The dead man didn’t believe nothing. Give me ‘Thus Saith the Lord’, it’s healed. You can’t do it? Bro. Branham, I heard you say bring me twenty-four of your worst cases. And you could heal them. Did he, do it? Well, sure. Huh? Now, how could you come in the name of the Lord, ‘Thus Saith the Lord’, and God back you up, unless you’re the man that God is going to back up, and nobody else? See? Jannes and Jambres, now let’s look at Jannes and Jambres.

(9) But they shall proceed no further: …

It’s all over in this generation.

(9) …for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as …was (Jannes and Jambres).

Because the Red Sea closed, and the flood took them away. Paul said that thou hast

known fully, my doctrine, my manner of life, my purpose, my faith, my longsuffering, my

charity, my patience, my persecution, my affliction, which came in Antioch, and so on. And he

said, here’s mine. Same lie, prove me wrong. Anybody stand up? Two hundred and fifty

Pentecostal preachers tried to trick Bro. Branham, up there in Chicago. They were there from

many parts of the nation. They were there to trick him. Then there is where God said, “They’re

coming to trick him. But, I won`t go. He said, “You will go, but, I’ll go with you.” But, let

them know ahead of time. Why did God warn him ahead of time?

So, there would be no showdown. Because had Bro. Branham not told Bro. Tommy Hicks, and Bro. Hank Carlson and let the cat out of the bag, which was according to God’s Word to do.

The first man to challenge him would have been carried out feet first. And the next one, and the next one, and the next one. Every man that came against the prophet, would have been carried out, stiff as a board. And God does not have …?... He said, “Do you believe it, or do you crucify me?” It’s up to you. "But I wanted God to have a showdown." Then, you don’t have a God that I have. See?

55. 2 Peter 2:1

(1) But there were…(No, that’s a wrong translation.) But there (arose) false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, …

Not just false prophets now. No, no. Not men with signs and wonders. No, no. But, there’d be a whole lot of false teachers. And I want to tell you, that man’s got a great ministry, I’ll follow him. Well, brother, why are you following him? Why? Well, he believes like I do. But, supposing he’s wrong? Don’t you know there’s another brother around the corner, that teaches doctrine? Don’t you know there’s a Oneness preacher out in the Philippines that had some of the greatest miracles, that any Trinitarian ever dreamed of having? Now you could have said he was a Trinitarian miracle worker, but, where is the Oneness miracle worker? Now, how are we going to go? The say, “Glory to God, that means it’s …?... it’s up for grabs.” Now, I yeah… I can’t take that route.

Because if it’s up for grabs, then why believe anything? Why believe anything? I could go to a Spiritist, and get signs and wonders. She talked to her mother, and talked in tongues. And she’s a down and right, Spiritist. And doctors come and take patients with cancers healed, and everything else. I’ve got his book at home. It’s amazing, and authenticated by doctors. Because it’s the truth. Why believe anything?

56. How about Matthew 24:23-25. What does that say about the last days? It tells you what it says.

(23) Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

(24) For there shall arise false (anointed ones, false) Christs, …

False to the Word, but true to the anointing of the power, even,

(24) … false prophets, (tells you what they are) and (they’ll show) great signs and wonders; …

Wonderful, true signs and wonders, real signs and wonders. God will do them by these people. They’re going to be so great, the Bible says, that they’ll deceive everybody except those that were called out by the Word of God.

Everybody but those who hear the Word. What Word? This Word? I heard it preached by almost a million men in America. Turn your radio on, all day long, your TV, someone is preaching that Word. And they’re preaching it all different. What in the world is the truth? What’s it all about? What’s been fulfilled, and what hasn’t been fulfilled. The Book’s been lying here for what? Four thousand years. It’s been lying here, roughly four thousand years. And longer by tradition. Oral, tradition. Six thousand years of oral tradition, written tradition. What’s been fulfilled? What’s happened? What was written here to promise what would happen, they turned it down so it couldn’t be fulfilled.

57. Do you know that’s possible? That is possible. That God said under certain conditions, I’ll do so and so. It was never ever fulfilled. They lost it, now does that belong anymore? What’s happened? Not one Word will pass away, before they’ll all be fulfilled. If it’s been fulfilled, then, it’s passed away. What’s been passed away? Who’s going to tell them? Now, if I believe it’s not here, or, I misinterpret in my belief, then, who’s going to back it up? As I said a while ago. Paul said, “If God and not raise up Jesus Christ to take His name.” Where am I going to go to? Now, at the end time, It says, “If you add one Word, or take away one Word, you’d be put in the Tribulation.” Or, your name is taken off the Book. Now what am I going to do? How will I know? Tells you right here. All but the Elect…those who come out by the Word.

Everyone is deceived, but some who come out by the Word. Who comes out by the Word? Where is that Word? It’s got to be somewhere. See? Right at the beginning was the very signs and wonders that many gifted men are leading people right against the very truth for this hour. This would point for such confusion, and chaos, that no man could know his sign lead to the true Word. Huh? But, hold steady. What did Jesus say? "If I had not done among them the works which no other man did." [Jn 15:24]

What ...?... . about Moses? Wasn’t he alone? What about Paul? Wasn’t he, did he stand out? What about today? Did not the Bible say, “Elijah would restore the Word?”

58. According to the Book of Acts 3: listen to what It says.

(20) And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

(21) Whom the heaven must receive (is that a truth in there?) until the

times of (restoration) of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

Now, what is this? That God is going to do the restoration of what Word? Because the Word came by of the prophets.

(22) For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall (you) hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

(23) And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

That never took place back in Jesus’ day. They said to Him what they listed, they crucified and killed Him. See? It’s the future thing he’s talking about. There is yet to come a manifestation, of that same prophet, because He’s still a prophet. He never changes. He’s the Son of God, the Lily of the Valley, Rose of Sharon, He’s the Lamb, …although, that’s been fulfilled, but, you can’t take it away from Him. He’s King David, though He’s never sat in the throne, yet. You can’t take it away from Him…it’s coming.

59. Now, It says here, that…when Peter speaking at Pentecost, He said, [Act 3:22]

(22) … A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you … (and him you’ll) hear in all things …

And the person that doesn’t, those that don’t hear will be cut off from amongst you. That, never happened. So, it’s got to happen yet. Don’t try to put it in the past tense, it isn’t going to work, because it didn’t happen. This is a part of the Bible, that did not take place. So, it’s got to take place. See? Now, how will it take place? Elijah…by the ministry of Elijah, this very restoration is going to take place.

60. The Word, and those that don’t hear this Word, will be cut off. They that add to It, or take ways. See? ...name out of the Book. Going into Tribulation. Very same thing. The ministry of Christ is vindicated, according to the Book of Luke 17:26

(26) And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

The Son of man’s days repeat. Why haven’t our students got this? Show me one book ever written by any preacher, or any teacher, ever caught this verse here. They never showed the people the days of Jesus would return to earth, but not, Jesus. The ministry would come back. Do you know the only man who caught this? And he didn't know it was the Bible. That was old Daddy Bosworth, that was in 1953. Bro. Branham gave those signs, and wonders, in West Palm Beach, in December of ’53. I think it was the 8th to about the 12th. He pulled my coat, and he said, “Bro. Vayle, for forty years I’ve prayed that the ministry of Jesus Christ would return to this earth. And there It is, in that man.”

61. Why? Because the Bible said so. You say, “Well, Bro. Vayle it’s not in the Bible.” Bro. Bosworth prayed it, and then of course, God gave It. Oh, don’t be ridiculous. God doesn’t give any man’s word any pre-eminence. But, It’s His own Word He backs up, not your words and mine. You believe that kind of nonsense, you’re going to end up with two or three wives, if you’re a lusty kind of a man. If, you’re that kind of a woman, you’ll have had a half a dozen husbands. Nothing left but go rob a bank. What nonsense. To believe for one minute, God would back up your prayers that you pray. It’s got to be based upon the Word. How could this man Daddy Bosworth, pray for forty years, God send back the very ministry of Jesus Christ, then God didn’t intend to do it, when it’s against the very purpose and plan of God? It’s in the Book. "And as it was in the days of Noe, …" [Lk 17:26]

Will the days of Noah come back, but, not Noah? So, the very days of Jesus come back? But not Jesus? See? The great prophet ministry comes back. And it vindicates that “Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever”. [Heb 13:8]

62. Now listen, let’s go back to Acts 3: again, I want to show you this, I talked about it. Talked about it the very first part of the message. Acts 3:19

(19) Repent ye therefore, and be converted, …

Change you mind, and turn back to God.

(19) … that your sins may be blotted out, …

Future tense.

(19) …when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

What does the word ‘presence’ in the Greek? That part of anything that is presented to the eye. Did you hear what I said? That part of anything that is presented to the eye.

63. Let’s go back now to John 15:24

(24) If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

What part of God did they see? They saw God, the Father. How? By the works. What part was presented to their eye? The works. If those works were presented again in this day, then those who saw them, saw God. Right? Then, if the ministry of Jesus Christ returned to this earth but not Jesus Christ Himself, in the flesh, then, have they seen the presence of God? That’s right. Then it says when that happened, the line of refreshing comes with the cool breeze, which is the Holy Ghost blowing upon the Bride, which is line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little, until the Word of God for this age, comes into full manifestation.

64. Now, with this in mind, let us go back to John 17:17 again, It says,

(17) Sanctify them (by Thy Word): thy word is truth.

The Word will sanctify then, and set them apart from the world. Their identification then, is in the Word.

65. This exact parallel, went on in the days of Moses, according to Deuteronomy 4:1-4 (I know it’s a long sermon, but, I usually preach like I may never preach again. So, I’ve got to cover it.) Listen to It.

(1) Now … hearken, (therefore) Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, (said Moses) for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers (gives) you.

The Word of God is going to sanctify them, and give them life. In our case, it would be eternal life, that they might possess the land. This, would be the Millennium. You shall…I can prove it to you.

(2) (You) shall not add (one) word (to that) which I command you, (neither shall you not) diminish ought from it, that (you) may keep the commandments…which I command you.

As the Word of God was delivered by Moses, and you could not add, nor take away. John said, that same Word be delivered once more. And you could not add nor take from It. And even when the Seven Thunders came forth in Revelation, it would be that revelation of that Word for that day, because that’s the Thunders sealed up, and you could not add or take from it. And this would do what? Sanctify you apart, and give you your wonders with God, because He is the Word, and you are the Word. He can only marry Word. Even as the kinsman could only redeem a kinsman, so, Word can only marry Word. And so, it is, you go into the Millennium. Just what you see here. Israel turned it down, they would not take the Word. They listened to Korah, and Dathan. They listened to Balaam.

66. They listened to everybody, they never went into that land and took it. No sir. They never did. Abraham was not given that land. The Bible said not a foot was put upon it, was given to him. And Israel never took it by faith. They met the enemy of man. Never ever had the promise. Now, the promise repeats. Now listen, It said here.

(3) Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baalpeor: for all the men that followed Baalpeor, the LORD thy God hath destroyed...

You go fornicating brother/sister, with the creeds and dogmas of this world, and with the denominations, you'll end up in Baal Peor, and cursing God, you’ll never get in.

(4) But (you, he said) that did cleave unto the LORD your God are alive every one of you…

How, did they cleave? They stayed with the Word. They never went fornicating with the creeds and dogmas. And Father So and so, said, so and so.

67. I’m a Presbyterian, I’m a Nazarene, I’m a Baptist. I’m not defending anything that defies this Word, and am up to win nobody but God in me, because 2 Tim. 2:19

(19) … the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And…

The showdown is Mount Zion, is the Rapture. Amen. People looking for a showdown, …forget it. I was under those showdowns, …I forgot it. Glory to God. Oh, the peace of my Savior, the peace I never knew before. And the words have brighter glory, since I loved the Word, more and more.

68. Yes sir, listen. [Deuteronomy 4:]

(5) Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD

my God commanded me, that (if we) should do so in the land whither

(you) go to possess it.

We need to prepare for the Millennium too.

(6) Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your under-

standing in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes,

and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

(7) For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as

the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?

There’s your signs.

(8) And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so

righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

When Bro. Branham brought the signs and wonders, he brought the Word of God to us. See? The Words of God, separate us.

(9) Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget

the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart

all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;

Never forget, that Bro. Branham had the one vindicated ministry. I don’t care what you see out there. I don’t care what you hear, and what goes on. He had the vindicated ministry. See?

(10) Specially the day that thou (stood) before the LORD thy God in Horeb, …

See? Especially in that day when He came back, and opened the Seven Seals, with a Pillar of Fire.

(10) … when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, …

69. And how do you gather them? You gather them by the Word. God gathers by the prophets. He said, “How often I would have gathered you.” [Mt 23:37] The word ‘often’, doesn’t mean just once in a Resurrection in the Millennium. It means, often, means often…Seven Church Ages, and not only in the Seven Church Ages, but in every single generation, God gathers them up. Forty times out of two thousand, God has gathered fourteen generations by His Word, for their day. See? Gather the people.

(10) … and I will make them hear my words, …

How does He gather you? By the signs and wonders. Through the Word, that those signs and wonders attract your attention, and bring you to want, and the Word gathers you. “How often would I have gathered you, as a hen gathers her chickens.” [Matthew 23:37] Listen, when does a hen gather her chickens? In order to prevent them form death. By the Word of God. It’s the Word of God that gives life. Isn’t it by the Word that It gives life? Doesn’t the Word give Lazarus his life… come out of It? Isn’t the voice of the archangel giving life? The dead come out of the grave. Well, come on. Let’s understand it.

70. Now,

(10) … hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.

(11) And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.

(12) And the LORD (spoke) unto you out of the midst of the fire: …

Now listen. I want you to notice something here.

(11) And (you) came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness...

71. Now listen. There was a fire came down and a dark cloud came down upon the mountain. Is that what the Bible said? Listen, when Bro. Branham was out there in Sabino Canyon, there was not only a Pillar of Fire ascending and descending. But, the teachers called the kids out to see, and hundreds and hundreds saw that Pillar of Fire. But, they saw a black cloud ascending and descending the same way. Just like Moses. How can you have Jannes and Jambres, without Moses? Huh? I ask you a question now. This is so documented. This ministry of Bro. Branham is so perfect. So, I ask you. How many are going to believe? No, a little skeptical. Sure, it’s skeptical.

(12) And the LORD (spoke) unto you out of the midst of the fire: …

Not out of the black cloud. But, in the midst of the fire.

(12) (you) heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only (you) heard a voice.

(13) And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, (and the) ten commandments; and he wrote…upon … (the) stone (and so on.)

72. Now listen. When Bro. Branham had the Pillar of Fire descend out there in Sabino Canyon, in Tucson. What was the Word? The Word came back with forgiveness for fornication. He said to the men and women, that said they’d been married more than once. He said, “I told you, the Word of God said there’s only one solution for it. And that is, you have got to separate and live separate. See? Never have another husband. Now, let’s get back to the Word. Fornication, in the eyes of God is not just women and men having an affair with each other. That isn’t anything too bad. If God can’t forgive you for that, what can He forgive you for? Neither is it the unforgivable sin. Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost, is the unforgivable sin. What’s he trying to tell you? He came back and said, “You men and women listen, (he said), the Bible said you’re separate. The Bible says you’re finished.

That’s right. You, according to the Word of God, you had better bust your homes up and live

separate. But, don’t do it. Don’t do it. Wait until you hear from me again. I’m waiting on God

for something.” My brother/my sister, listen to me. If God Almighty would have judged every

one of us, that is bound by a creed and a dogma, that was apart from His Word, there would be

nobody make the Rapture, but, …only the prophet could make the Rapture, and nobody else

could make the Rapture. And they couldn’t make it either. Because they without us, cannot be

made complete. So, the message came back, “I forgive you, for every one of your licentious

affairs. For your creeds and your dogmas. For your adulteries. For your fornication. Come back

to your husband. I’ll marry you now, saith the Lord.” See? Just exactly what we see in the

Word.

73. So, we see the parallel here. Moses' day, they were positioned, and their destiny was

made secure because of their positioning, which was by the Word. Their position was by

the Word, because God was nigh to the Word. The same thing I read to you over here in the

Book of John. The apposition, one in Christ by the Word. When identified Christ by the Word,

and then sealed in through the Word to the last day, and they would go into the land which

is their destiny. Thank God for the end time Message, we have been positioned and sealed in by

Jesus Christ. So, the Holy Ghost has been liberated for the first time in two thousand years, from

his creeds and his dogmas, in order to perform and finish the work, which he was called to do. Which was to seal us in, to the redemption though which was the human body. Which, my brother, my sister, some people standing here cannot see death, but their bodies are going to be changed, and they get their redemption right now.

Sealed into Almighty Jesus Christ, and shall not see death. My, Oh, Hallelujah. What a wonderful, wonderful Message the prophet left us. And yet, the destiny, “Why (he said) I’m going to come

back and see them for myself.” And some people will be standing right here, they shall not taste of death. Because the Bible said so.

74. The whole body of truth, will then come into existence, according to the Book of Ephesians 4:12-16 listen to It,

(12) For the perfecting…

God gave the ministry, for the perfecting

(12) of the saints, …

And that word ‘perfecting’ means a conclusion, and a consummation. It means up to the very last word.

(12) … for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

(13) Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of

God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of

Christ:

Listen, and what happened?

(14) That we henceforth…no more children, …

Everyone placed as adopted sons. No more

(14) … tossed to and fro, (no more) carried (by a) doctrine, (no more) by the sleight

of men, (no more by) cunning craftiness, (nobody can) deceive (us);

75. Notice, it’s all over. When did that take place? Show me. When did that take place? Never did. Never did. There’s only one time, and that’s when the full revealed, body of truth comes out. And every Christian, being a member of that same revealed truth sees the power of that Word, a part of God. Now, you get sealed back in. And through the ages, they’re coming up, coming up by the pyramid until the last day. Before, was brotherly kindness. Now, the last one comes into love. Laodicea. The best we can do, a little brotherly kindness. Not even love. But know, when now the Word comes down, Christ Himself, the headship of the Word, comes back upon the Bride. Christ sealing that Bride, in by the Word. No more she walking by her senses. No sir.

That’s where Hebrews 10: gets fulfilled. The law written in the mind and the heart now. It’s through Christ Himself now, no more is he deceived. No more. No sir. Because why? We’ve been building up, and up, and up. We’re arranged in a pyramid of truth. Until that Capstone, the very truth Itself, come down. Preaching this truth in love. What is it they’re going to speak?

76. Speaking truth in love at the last. They grow up into Him in all things, which is the Head, Christ. Christ comes down upon the body. Christ comes down upon the Bride. A living Bride, here at the last day. Coming down upon her. That will not die. How can she die when death loses its sting? And the sting of death, is sin. Can’t do it. She can’t be deceived. How can a man be in error, when he’s deceived? He can’t be deceived.

How could Eve have fallen, if she couldn’t be deceived? But, she could be deceived. But, there’s coming a day when she cannot be deceived. See? Notice, from whom the whole body…now the whole body… (See?)…fitly framed together, maketh increase, now, the last little group here, Christ revealed in her. Now, she starts coming up, coming up. The whole body of truth, found in this supreme existance in Jesus Christ. Amen. That’s what the prophet has taught. Make no mistake about it, the Word of truth Spiritually revealed, sets all those apart who will be with Him, and share with Him in His throne in glory. But, that is reserved only for those who are one with Him. Now, It tells you how to get one with Him. How, do you be one with Him? That is by marriage. Huh?

77. Let’s go to the marriage. 2 Corinthians 11:2-3. We keep going back and forth on these verses.

(2) For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

(3) But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

How was Eve defined? How does the Bride get defined? Through the perversion of the Word of Almighty God. And God calls it, “I can’t have you married to such a one.” See? How can we be part of Christ, and be perverted Word? We cannot be. It’s impossible. God will not allow it. See?

78. Look at over in 1 Corinthians 6:15-18

(15) Know (you) not that your bodies are the members of Christ? …

Now, he’s talking to individual people.

(15) …shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members

of an harlot? God forbid.

(16) What? know (you) not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

(17) But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

(18) Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

79. Now listen. You know the Bride is a female…right? Sure, there’s a group of people she’s a female. There’s no men, no males and no females, it’s just called ‘she’. But notice, when he talks about the individual members, he calls them, ‘he’. No women now, all men. Now, what can men do? They can mess around, and fornicate.

Now He said, “Listen, don’t you try it.” Because He said, the minute that you fornicate, you’ve joined yourself to a harlot, and you are one with her. Rome. Protestants, Baptists, Presbyterian, Assembly of God, United Pentecost, Church of Christ, Nazarene. One of the many, blasphemous names. You’re fornicating, you’re one with her. See? The individual member, you say, “How could you then be a part of the body of Christ? Has to be impossible. He said, “But, he who is joined to the Lord, is one Spirit.” How can you have dead Spirit? How will the Spirit of Christ go to them? You can’t do it, through fornication, prove it.

80. He said, “Every sin that a man does is without the body.” You can go and get drunk, …yes sir…not that you could kill a man like David. Yes sir. He absolutely raped the woman, because who’s going to stop the king from doing what he wants. He gets the girl…take another man’s wife. Get away with it. But, you go fornicate, you take the creeds and dogma. You sin against the body of Jesus Christ. Every other sin, is apart from the body. Except this one sin of fornication. And God will judge you for fornication. He said, “Well, out there is the creed and dogma. Away from the Word of God.” Don’t you see this is the truth? Look at 2 Thessalonians if you don’t believe me. If I’m telling you a lie, let's just look at 2 Thessalonians 2: listen to it.

(13) But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved

of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation

through sanctification of the Spirit (even, the word ‘and’ in the Greek is ‘even’ kai as well as and evin) belief of the truth:

(14) Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of …

Jesus Christ.

How did he say you get My glory? By being one with the sanctifying Word. How did Paul get the glory of God? By his gospel. Not everybody’s gospel. What said the Word of God unto you? Or, came the Word of God out of You? This isn’t Spiritual. You know when I tell you the truth. You guys, I’m surprised you boys have move from the truth. What’s the matter with you? So, and angel of God come down., or don' you believe anybody but what I said. That’s strong manna. Talk about the language of the Holy Ghost. That's the language of God. See? Now listen:

(15) Therefore brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions (that you’ve) been taught (either) by Word or by epistle.

(16) (The) Lord Jesus Christ himself, even God, even our Father, (who) loved us (has) given us everlasting consolation, and good hope to grace.

81. Now listen. That’s just what It says here, but, what does It say up here? What does It say up here about it? Let’s read It. [2 Thessalonians 2:]

(7) For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

(8) And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume

with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his

coming:

(9) Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan …

That just efficiency! It’s not efficient to have the purpose anymore, we’re going to be one big Church. Is not efficient to all be one, one big one. We’re a government, we’re a power, we’re of God.

(9) …with (lying power) all power and signs and wonders,

(10) And with all deceivableness…

Where is that? Except for to deceive me. Then the Word.

(10) …deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; …

What is the greatest deception that God holds against a man? Not, the seducing of a woman. Now, you …?... God will forgive you. That isn’t going to do it. You murdered, that doesn’t do it. God forgives murderers.

(10) …the deceivableness of unrighteousness…

82. Is the deception of Eve by the Word, which is the false word which is what’s going on today. Deception by false Word. See?

(10) … in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

When did that truth come forth? It’s got to come forth. How can God give you the truth if it doesn’t come forth ?

(11) And for this cause …

Turn down the truth. They're going to say, "when did we even see You? When did we hear about this? When did this happen? When did this occur? When…?" Look, He said, “I was there. I was there all the time.” He told the priests, “The kingdom of God some not without observation?” He said, “I will come and you won't see it.” That’s what’s going to be here. The truth. And what’s going to destroy them? They’re going to turn down the love of the truth. And because they turned down the love of that, what does God do? Istsays,

(11) … God…send(s) them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

When they turned down Moses, what did God do? He sent them false prophets. And then they turned down the prophet William Branham. What did God do? He sent them false prophets. See? And on and on we could go. I don’t need to go any further. I’m no prophet of God. I’m not even a smart person. I don’t even have enough on the ball, to …?... …?... I rough- ride the people and slam this way and that. But, I’ll tell you one thing. I may not have the love people want me to have, but I stand on the truth of the Word of God. I teach them that Word. And I challenge any man to prove me wrong. You can’t do it. Why? Because it’s based upon the teaching of William Marrion Branham, the prophet of God, that had ‘Thus Saith the Lord’. And the ministry of Jesus Christ in this earth, came back.

83. And by a Pillar of Fire vindicated, through a man that he spoke the truth. And I have preached my sermon based upon what he taught. And here it is, all in the Word of God. “Bro. Vayle, I’m looking for this and for that.” I’m not. No sir. I’ve got what I’m looking for. That’s fine, but if this doesn’t work, forget it. You say… Brother/sister, I mean it. But, as God as my judge, if this isn’t it, forget it, I’m finished. I look for nothing else. If this will not do according to what the Word said It will do, iI’ve got no…I’ve got no…I’m just a Laodicean person. Sure. I’m just wretched, naked, miserable, and blind. And I haven’t got any hope. I’m just out of luck. And I’m going to have to hate the truth, and miss It somewhere. And I’m going to be deceived.

Because that’s what the Bible said is going to happen. I believe it. I don’t believe it. Say, I don’t believe it. That seed may lie in here, in a dry area for some time. Because of what I’ve taught, based upon what he taught, is the Word of God. This Word that the prophet spoke will not return unto God void, but it will bring forth a harvest, in my and your generation. That there’d be some of us standing here, who shall not taste death. But one day, like a little breeze, Bro. Branham said, “Passing over, we’ll be changed.” And we’ll see then, when they’re still young, marching into the sky. And we falling in behind, will march up with them, because brother/sister, I’ve got a promise, and that promise is Elijah will fulfill. God bless you. Rise, and be dismissed.

Gracious, Eternal Father, we’ve been long tonight. And haven’t meant to wear out the people, but, I tried my best to keep my speech slower, that they’d understand, and bring them the Word. And now Lord God, Your Spirit will surely fall upon that Word which is of You. And in Your Spirit, to bring It forth, within all of us tonight, O God. That we shall be a part of that Bride. O Lord, may we people realize that we’re not here to run down anybody at all. But to honestly say with the Apostle Paul, that if it were possible, we would be glad to give our own life, that others might be brought in. So, Lord, if it could be possible, that it would be a privilege, to give our own place to those that we love. That they might come into Eternal Life. Not, Lord, that we dis-esteem, what You’ve done for us. Beholding It in the pearl of truth. But, O Lord God, we stand strong on this Word, as being the only truth.

If anyone misses It, then Lord, I can’t see by what You said, that it’s going to be anyway then, it’s going to be set forth by Your prophet. O God, thinking how He wiped away his kids, when he’d have to stand up there and say what he said. Cutting his own heart, a thousand times more than the heart that was cut out there in the audience. Crying over his loved ones. Knowing that his sister and his brothers, there weren’t any around except Doc, came to church. And his mother until she died, and passed on. How tragic it was that he could say, “I held my Daddy in my arms a sinner, as he died.” And yet, knowing what he knew, still stand up. Lord God, what can we do tomorrow, but, stand up. Only pray, Lord, to give more of that same Spirit of consideration, and love, and tenderness.

We might never be guilty Lord, of keeping the club on people. God, may that never be it. I don’t mind, Lord, of being a chisel and hammer, to hammer out Your truth, Lord. But not to hammer to the people. God, don’t. May we understand Lord, that this is just the best way that You can do. May they be blessed by the Holy Spirit. Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be all power and honor and glory, through Jesus Christ. Amen.
