Impartation of the Righteousness of God
Bro. Lee Vayle - February 7, 1968
Now, don't forget if you want to write down a couple of questions…you can ask any number, I don’t guarantee answers. But you get your questions in tonight and tomorrow night. And if we don’t have too many questions well I'll just bring the message and that will be alright too. That's tomorrow night, Thursday. And then no meeting on Friday or Saturday, but on Sunday. And Sunday will be one message with two parts. We'll go into the Rapture just as fully as we can, and bring out as many thoughts on that subject that's we've able to bring you, showing you the three phases of the Rapture, that is set forth in the Word of God. And explained in the Word of God in many Scriptures, which pertain to that subject.
Now, tonight I want to bring a message on 'The Impartation of the Righteousness of God'. Different from the message I brought last time, or the time before, whenever I preached it in this church. And before we begin, let us bow our heads in prayer.
Our Father, we come to You now in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, believing my God, that according to Your Word which cannot fail, You are here in the midst of Your people. Not, O Lord, as You would be in the midst of multitudes though that could obtain also in any place where people are gathered. But believing especially that You're here, Lord, in Your people. People, temples of the Holy Ghost, which Spirit was given to us that we may know Thee in the things that are freely given to us by God. Particularly revealed the Word in us, and appropriate the Word to ourselves by Him Who dwelleth in us to bring the Word to pass.
We believe that, Lord, thank You for It, and praise Your great Name and Your grace. Asking You now, Lord, also to take every Word and make it Thine, O God, that everything may be exactly right. Praying, Lord, that every hearer here, shall hear exactly right, and this Word, Lord, shall have Its pre-course in Your Name be glorified, in Jesus' Name we pray. Amen.
1. Now, if Christ did anything, He must have dealt with the sin question. Because the sin question is a primary question in the history of mankind. For when God placed Adam and Eve in the Garden, we find that Adam brought into this earth the sin which has wroth its havoc upon all generations until this present time, and will continue to do so yet for some time.
Now, if sin is the primary problem, and God came to deal with that problem, then sin must have been fully dealt with. Now, the reason that I say that is, because to understand the righteousness question, one must understand the sin question. And if the sin question has been properly dealt with, then the righteousness question must have been dealt with. Because for sin to be dealt with, is to remove sin and the consequences of it.
2. Now to thoroughly understand then the impartation of righteousness based upon grace, is first of all to understand this impartation of sin and death. Apart from sinful acts, but based on heredity, and based on decree. Now, I want to repeat that; to firmly understand the impartation, or imputation of righteousness, based upon grace. You follow me? Righteousness…from grace. Grace is the unasked for, unmerited, unwarranted, undesired gift of God. In other words, shoveled unto you. Righteousness based upon grace is first of all to understand the imputation, or impartation of sin and death apart from any sinful act of anyone present here. But based upon heredity and decree. The reason I say this is because we are constantly confusing grace and works. And by mixing them which they cannot be mixed, we void the gift of God. That's what Paul tells us.
3. Number one: to begin with we'll use some very well known, Scripture that we can actually quote from memory. First of all, in Romans 6:23
(23) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God (which is by grace) is eternal life (in) Jesus Christ our Lord. (Not through Him, it's in Him. Because if you're not in Him, in the body, you do not have eternal life.)
Now, It says here, "that the wages of sis in death." However, counteracting it, the gift of God is eternal life, which obviates death. There can be on death wherein there is eternal life. This comes by being in Jesus Christ the Lord.
4. Now, in Romans 5:12
(12) Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; ...
Even as the wages of sin is death, It says that sin entered the world, and death came by sin. So, death passed upon all.
5. Now, we'll go back into Genesis and we will see where this came from and study it out. In Genesis 2:17
(17) But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day (of the eating) thereof thou shalt surely die.
This tells us what the sin was. It was partaking of the perverted knowledge that Satan brought Adam and Eve. Which was the true Word of God perverted by the devil which Adam took. And in Genesis 5:5
(5) And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.
It shows here that Adam died within the day which is God's day of one thousand years. So, when the Scripture says that by one man's sin, death entered the world, this is perfectly correct, because Adam sinned. And even as God said, "In the day of the eating thereof dying thou shalt surly die." Adam never lived out his days, but he died seventy years short of that period of time. So, sin entered the world which was disobedience to God's Word, because Adam become obedient to the perverted word.
6. Now, in Romans 5:17, again It says:
(17) For if by one man's offence death reigned...
Now, you'll notice here that one man's sin, it was by his offence by his disobedience that death reigned. And in, Romans 5:21 (the first part)
(21) That as sin hath reigned unto death, ...
And sin is reigning. Actually, it's in full control. There isn't anybody who can get away from its thralldom. There isn't anybody who can get away from its powers. Sin is reigning, it's got complete control in the world, because all the world is dying, and there is signs of death and decay in everything upon this earth. Nothing but nothing is free from it. All creation is in the throes of death because of sin by one man. Now, this shows us conclusively that death in the world is based upon sin. All men and all nature must die. Just as I said that all creation has been in the throes of death for about six thousand years. Thus, the earth and all its creation according to this Word is branded as sinful, because sin is the wages of death. It's the product, I mean death is the product of sin. And since all are dying everything in decay, we find the sentence of death is passed upon all nature as well as man. So, we see where sin came from. Sin came by Adam sinning. And in his sinning, he brought death upon the human race and all nature.
7. Now, secondly; we make notes for the reason for the continuation of sin. The question might be asked here, why is it not that the penalty of God pronounced upon Adam was sufficient, when Adam paid the debt by dying? Why did not God close the book and start all over again? Rather than to inflict the punishment of sin upon the rest of the people for all ages? The answer is, that sin corrupted the program and the era of God, which God set in the earth as the life cycle of this Age.
Now remember, that God's original command to Adam was, "to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth" [Gen 1:28] So therefore, Adam was the well-spring, or the progenitor, the actual fountain of what was the life which would be upon this earth cycle, however long God had ordained it to be. So therefore, when Adam sinned, he immediately polluted the whole life cycle of whatever God's program would be.
8. Going back here to, Genesis again 3:17-19
(17) And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
(18) Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
(19) In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and (to) dust thou shalt return.
Now, the next passage which agrees with it, (and explanation) is found in Romans 8:20, It says:
(20) For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
(21) Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
(22) For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain, (and pain comes from sin, because pain is a part of death, even) until now.
So, it was impossible for God to simply visit upon Adam his own sin, and then drop the case and start over. Because Adam was given the original command that he must not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. And when he did so, he corrupted the entire life cycle. So, that as life progressed with the multitudes becoming more and more sinful, we find that death has raised its head in more and more ways, and become more and more dominant in its universal race.
9. Now, thirdly; we see now that death is an inherited penalty. In Romans 5:17,19 again, It says,
(17) For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; ... (See?)
And again, in verse 19
(19) For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, ...
You can see here that death is inherited because sin is inherited. Sin is what causes death. Death is the penalty of sin, and sin has been inherited. Because It says, "by one man's offence, death reigns." But death cannot reign apart from sin. So therefore, all mankind has inherited the sin and the penalty which is death from Adam. By one man's disobedience the many, that's even all of those that were foreordained in Christ were made sinners. They were not made reprobate, many people are confused here, because of the theology here which is rampant in the world. That we were all reprobates, which are not all reprobates. Reprobates are reprobates, and Elect are Elect. We are all sinners, we're all condemned to a judgment, but we're not reprobate.
God reprobates only those in His foreknowledge who were to be reprobated. But the Elect are those in His foreknowledge who were to be Elected. They're entirely different. And as Isaiah said, "That He would die for the many." So, it is that the many have been brought into the bondage of sin, and therefore into death, because of the sin of high treason of Adam.
10. By one man's disobedience sin entered into every single human being, and into the group of this breed that we call 'mankind' today, and sin entering, brought death. Thus, death was already decreed upon this present generation. And us who are here tonight, six thousand years ago, because of Adam's sin. Not having even been born, our forefathers not even known, or dreamed with no understanding whatsoever concerning our genes here. It was already decreed that we would be sinners and that we would die.
It says in the Book of Hebrews 9:27
(27) ...it is appointed unto men once to die, (and) after (that) the judgment:
The word in the Greek 'appointed' means 'it is laid up in store', it is reserved. Death was already reserved for us. We had a reservation. We had an appointment before we were born. And that reservation was a penalty which is called death because of sin. Adam’s sin, and penalty of sin which is death, has been passed upon all mankind.
11. It says here, "Wherefore, as by one man death entered into the world, and death by sin. So, death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." [Romans 5: 12] I know someone might say that that shows that we’ve got a sentence of death, because of her own sin. It doesn't say that. It said that Adam sin brought sin in the world, whereby we all sin and all die, every last person. There is not one that is free.
You can compare this if you like with Exodus 20: when God said He was a jealous God, and would visit the sins of the fathers upon the children to the fourth and fifth generation. It was already decreed, that the penalty of sin would be handed down from generation to generation. And the penalty of sin is always been handed down. You can see how God dealt with the kings of Israel. And He said, "I will not destroy this generation, but I will come in the generation afterwards." He said concerning the cup of the Amorites, and the land of Canaan. He said, "I will let Israel be down there in Egypt to multiply for four hundred years." Then I will bring them forth to destroy His people, because the cup of the Amorites is not yet full. God decreed, and by His decree the sentence of death is passed upon all mankind.
12. Now, we never sinned like Adam, but we die like Adam. In [Romans 5:] 14, It says,
(14) Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, ...
As I said awhile ago God never closed the Books when Adam died. Because Adam had ready propagated, and had sons in whom the sentence of death already laid. Why? Because sin came into the human race through Adam. And what was in him and only what was in him could be passed on to future generations. So, sin and death were passed on to future generations. They didn't sin like Adam sinned, they didn’t stand face to face with God and disobeyed Him. They never had a chance to stand in Christian pure innocence. They never had a chance as it were to make out on their own, they were already condemned by death. (See?) Because It says, "We never sinned after the likeness of Adam's sin, but we die like Adam. Our breath escapes us, or body goes down to the dust, and we return from the dust from whence we came,
13. Now fourthly; we can now say in conclusion all men are sinners by nature. Now notice, they’re sinners by nature. Didn’t' say sinners by seed, they're sinners by nature being born sinful. In Ephesians 2: we see what God has to say about this.
(1) And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
(2) Wherein in time past (you) walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
(3) Among whom also we all had our (behavior)...
Who would have turned disobedient? Those who do not listen to the Word. Right. Those who bypass the Word, this gives you positive things. What happens to people who when women enter the pulpit and preach? They think they're in the Word. They're not in the Word. They're disobedient. (See?) Disobedient people. God calls them children of disobedience.
(3) Among whom also we all had our (behavior) in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; (polluted mind) and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
Our nature was to sin. We have a sinful nature, a propensity toward sin. Why? Because that was passed on from Adam. And because of our sin we die. We were dead in trespasses and sin just like the others were.
(4) But God, who is rich in mercy, ... (and of course He redeemed us.)
Now, all are entirely unpleasing to God and man of himself has no power to do good, or to redeem himself. There isn't one of us.
14. In the Book of Romans 7:14, we can see about this sinful nature
(14) For (I) know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, (I've got a sinful nature and I'm) sold under sin. (See?)
In the market place, bought as a slave and dominated by sin. Controlled by sin. Which is true, because sin ends in death, and every single person dies.
Now with that we go to Romans 8:3 for the first part of 3
(3) For what the law could not do, (Why? Because of the carnality of the individual living in that body. What the law could not do in that he) was weak through the flesh... (See?)
Everybody's born of woman. We're all born of woman. Born in sin. Now, in Romans 8:8
(8) So, then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Every single person, Elect or reprobate of the one lump, it doesn't matter, they are all branded as sinful with a sinful nature. Their propensity of sin, or as Bro. Branham said, "we are born into this world speaking lies." Which is true.
15. We can now turn and see, the most scripturally see, just as a man cannot help the color of his eyes, or the color of his hair, the height to which he will grow, his abilities or inabilities, neither can he help being born into sin. He can't. You couldn't tell why your eyes are a color. You can't say I wish my eyes were brown, when they're blue. Or you might wish they were blue when they're brown. You cannot add one cubit to your stature by taking by taking thought. In plain English, you have no control over the genes which you inherited, which will make you be the kind of a person you are. Now, many people resent that. Especially go to beauty parlors, and these doctors who bob the nose, as well as those who bob their hair, and various things like that. And they try to change it, but it isn’t going to do you any good.
There is no use trying to change what your physical appearance is. Not that you can look sloppier, of trying to make yourself look worse, (well it's nice to be neat and clean) but you can't help being born the way you're born. Your hair is kind of a mousy brown, that's the way it is. If it's jet black, that's the way it is. There is nothing you can do about your inherited natural ability, inability, or the way that you are. You can't become an artist if it's not in you. You can’t become a mechanic if it's not in you. Oh, you can learn a few laws and do a credible job in comparison to what you couldn't use to do. But, if it's not in you, it's not in you. Many people have a complex over this. In fact, just about everybody does have a complex, because you can't do certain things you’d like to do, instead of smarting up and doing the things that he can do, because he's born to a certain name.
16. Now, all of these physical things are inherited. You are what was in your parent's genes. And that's the long and short of it, and you can't do anything about it. because you're born that way. He is bearing the image of the earthly, and is thus earthy. And thus, he is dead in sin with death reigning in his body. But, hear what God says about this in the midst of it all. In Romans 5:14-17
(14) Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
(15) But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
(16) And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
(17) For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
Now, see all of this record is not a matter of a death certificate. Which it is, a death certificate in itself, and inescapable doom. But, it is a record of comparison.
(14) Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, ...
This Adam who is the figure of Him, Christ which was to come.
18. Now, Adam's failure and penalty superimposed on the human race is but a type of the faithfulness and reward of Jesus just as freely and unwarrantedly cast on the believer. Now, I want to repeat it. That Adam's failure and penalty superimposed on the human race is but a type of the faithfulness and reward of Jesus just as freely and unwarrantedly cast on the believer.
Now, I’ll show you, It says:
(14) Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, ...
Now, the key is in the whole Scripture here, Adam is the figure of the type of Christ who is to come. How in the name of common sense can this man type Christ? It tells you that as Adam brought on the human race sin and death, and the human race was sold in bondage through no fault of its own, so that it inherited sin. And the decree of death with no say in the matter, so Christ just as freely came and liberated them, giving them Eternal Life by grace which they inherit by the decree of God. That is exactly what It says here. Adam's failure is disobedience, and the penalty which he brought was superimposed, was placed upon the human race, which in Adam they all die, every unborn person.
19. And remember, Adam is the father of the entire human race, because he was the father as well as the husband. Plus, Eve came out of him, every single child, therefore born in Adam, because he was a birth of Adam coming from him, had already placed upon him sin and death. And was by nature sinful, and the bondage of death was upon him and he hadn't asked for it.
All he did was come into this world a sinner and compound his misery by adding his own sin, which he couldn't help, because he was a sinner. A dog can't help being a dog. And a cat can't help being a cat. Neither can a sinner help being a sinner. But, the devil sure would like to help you give you a complex over it. And he does, he's very successful. You didn't even ask to be born, but you're here. If you'd had your choice, you wouldn't be born the way you are, because you hate sin. You'd like to have been without it, but you didn't have a choice in the matter.
And It says, that Adam was the figure of Christ, as one man brought in sin, and the complete gamut of sin, so that sin reigns and death reigns by one, so now he prefigured Him who would come and take care of the sin question once and for all. So, that we also might now, what? Inherit by free grace the life and the righteousness of God. Now, this is as true as God Almighty is Himself, because of God's Own Words. And the devil will fight you every step against you.
20. This is the imputation, or the literal impartation of righteousness, with all of its legal aspects and benefits, even as sin was imputed with its horrors. Right. One's a free gift, the other is a free gift. One was inherited, the other was inherited. Now, righteousness is imputed with all of its glory and all if its legal aspects, just exactly as sin was. Just exactly, no difference, because Adam prefigured Christ.
Now, let us begin to see this in the two types which are before us as, It says in [Romans 5:] this verse,
(14) Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
Adam and Christ must now stand compared.
21. All right, let's look at the two acts. In the Book of Romans 5:12,15
(12) Wherefore, as by one man sin entered the world, ...
One man's sin entered the world. Every single tragedy was a sinner! All right, by one man's act every single tragedy is righteous, and will never die, will never come into condemnation. Brother/ sister, it's got to be that way or they can't figure. You can't line a horse up with a dog. They've got the same kind of life, they've got...well, just take a cow, better still, horses got hides, and cows got hides. Horses got hair, cows got hair. Horse got liver, cows got liver. But, you can't line them up.
But, that's the way people want to do with Adam and Jesus. That's what they want to do with sin and righteousness. They don't understand what's it's all about. And It says right here:
(12) ... (that) by one man sin entered the world and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (and they couldn't help sinning, because they're sinners.)
So, the same thing is then, if death is passed upon all, by the disobedience of one, by the sin of one, so then life and righteousness must have passed upon one, because of his act. In verse 15, It says,
(15) But not as the offence, so also is the free gift...
You will notice, that the offence of one, sin and death came by offending, and God was offended, God was disobeyed, and sin passed upon the world. But now Christ came and out of a free gift of grace gives to all men liberally, those that died in Adam the free gift of life, and the righteousness of God.
(15) ...For if through the offence of one many be dead, ...
And you know that every single person in Adam died. Adam died, Seth died. Able was killed, down the line. Enoch was taken by grace, but Noah died. Different ones, all down the line. Every single one. Now, It says,
(15) For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
22. God sweeping away the entire gamut of the offences. In verse 17,
(17) For if by one man's offence death reigned...
And you can't deny it. It says, "For if by one man's offence, death reigned, (see?) much more they which receive abundance of grace." Look, you've got your sin by the principle of grace, disgrace. You're a sinner you got an inheritance. There isn't anybody in this world who hasn't had an inheritance. It's been a lulu, it's sin and death, the inheritance. Your parents were good to you, because the father of the human race, Adam, gave us the legacy.
It's just like when they took Bro. Branham's for income tax.
They said, "This money passed in through your hands."
He said, "Yes, but I didn’t use it for myself."
He said, It passed through your hands, you're stuck."
So, they raised his salary.
He said, "Billy Graham get's twenty-five thousand," the lawyer said that, thinking that it might not get paid if Bro. Branham didn't have a big enough salary. So, they said, "Raise his wages."
So, they gave him twenty-five thousand which was illegal, because he was supposed to sit on the board and they gave him a salary, he turned down, but he had to pay five thousand dollars on it. That's the kind of legacy he had, and that's what he inherited. He was stuck. So, you inherit. Exactly.
(17) For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; ...
23. Notice, "If by one man's offence death reigned by one." Didn't say it reigned in you and me by yourself? Didn't say in anybody since Adam time by himself. It says, "Death reign by one." One man did it and caused the reign of death. Eve set it up, and it went into effect and it’s never stopped.
(17) ...much more they which receive abundance of grace...
You've got you sin disgrace, now you get your righteousness by grace.
(17) ...and of the gift of righteousness...
Adam's gift to the human race was sin and death. Right! God's elective grace. Because election is by grace. Grace was extended before even before you were foreknown. Right!
(17) ...(the) abundance of grace, (even) of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.
And yet the sin and death is reigning because of Adam, you have to admit that righteousness and life is reigning, because of Jesus Christ.
24. In [Romans 5:] 19
(19) For as by one man's disobedience (the) many were made sinners, ...
(It says, the many. He's talking about the many.)
It didn’t say the whole world was made sinners, because why? Cain was of that wicked one. there's a whole lot more animal seed, than there is human seed brother/sister. You may rest assured on that.
(19) ...by one man's disobedience (the) many were made sinners, ...
They were made, it. They didn't become, they were made. A chunk of clay doesn't become a pot, it's made a pot. There's an element of force controlling and contributing and dynamizing, energizing. And It says, "By one man's disobedience." This energy which was unto death, energized, towards death in every single person that came from Adam.
(19) ...so by the obedience of one (nothing you have done, or ever will do, but by His obedience, even by Adam's disobedience, you were made a sinner, is by His obedience that you're) made righteous.
The same men will be made righteous. Not become righteous, but made righteous. A forceful and dynamic act of God making that man. Now, let's get it brother/sister, I would to God that I could take the devil and kill him right tonight. And I would to God I was the Holy Ghost to energize myself in you. And instead of this old Pentecostal running around the building that could get excited from the tambourines and the bongo drum. Bless God, we’d be crazed tonight out of our minds as to what the truth is. We don't even get stuff of what I do. ...in my heart and I can pretty well read anybody else and get it just right.
25. But, we're a million miles tonight to see the truth of this. Then I can put it right down under your nose, flat as A-B-C, as 1-2-3. If one man brought us in to it, and another man took us out of it, we are merely robots or automatons standing here, because it's God. …we're willing to accept tonight. That Adam sided, but in our own stupid misunderstanding, we want to say, "We kept the ball rolling." We've got enough brains to know, that our bull breeds to a cow, it brings forth calves, not dogs, not horses, not pigs. We haven't got enough brains to know! That in the same way we're brought forth as that calf is brought forth, because what went before them couldn't help it. (Uh?)
Never get over our guilt complex until we see this. What did Bro. Branham do with his guilt complex? Preaching what I'm preaching, the bleach of the Blood of Jesus Christ. And that’s what this is. In [Romans 5: verse 19
(19) For as by one man's disobedience...
It doesn't say your disobedience. It says, “By his disobedience we were made sinners.” We can't help it, we're what we are. I’d just pray for them. So, prefiguring Him Who was to come.
(19) ...by the obedience of one shall (the same) many be made righteous.
Now, what are you going to do about it? Can we say with Paul, "I am what I am, by the grace of God?" [1 Cor 15:10a] Or are we going to stand up like the rest of these legalists? This, human rights stuff. This ...?... attitude in answering back to God. God says, "There's your sacrifice lying at your door, the sin offering His desire to you. And you can have it, why don't you do something? Take it!"
26. And he said, "I won't take it." Then are you against God. Then cursing against God, because condemnation. We are just as guilty as Cain, with the offering of Christ and saying, "Well, it's got to do something more. I don't think it will satisfy. Well maybe if I helped out. Maybe if I do this, oh, glory. Aw, shut up, bunch of stinking blasphemers. Get these filthy stinking natures under control. You’re going to remember some day, and get before God, and wish we had pleaded the Blood of Jesus Christ. God might wink at ignorance sometimes, but brother/sister this is the day of revelation, restoration, not conversion, but restoration.
There's too much dishonoring God. But that stinking Laodicean spiritual back in that sixth day is right now ripening in the seventh. Where do we stand tonight believing God? Adam prefigured Jesus Christ if one did this, one did that. Here's the consequence of one, here's the result of the other. It says we are but pawns on a chess board.
27. You see where Bro. Branham said the Bride was tricked, and there'll come a day when the whole sin will fall back on Satan, who’ll be destroyed in the lake of fire. How could that opinion set with the verses I'm bringing you tonight? You know that in your own minds cannot fathom that. You know that can't be understood, except for this Scripture here. Certainly, it's the truth. Adam's unrighteous act of sinning, Christ's righteous act of dying upon the Cross. As It says,
[Romans 5:]
(18) Therefore, by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; (It says that) so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men (to) justification... (declaration of righteousness.)
Adam sinned, we became sinners. Christ was righteous, in His acts upon the Cross, the righteous God was propitiated. Now, we become righteous just the same as we were sinners, now we're righteous. If one held good, the other held good. Exactly the way it's written. There were two results, two results of these two men back.
28. Notice, in that verse 15, we just keep repeating ourselves, because I want it to sink in,
(15) But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God,
In other words, Adam's sin on unrighteousness is sin of disobedience.
(15) ...(the) many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, ...
Notice, that he is emphasizing it now just as we saw error through Adam, just as sin and death was decreed upon us,
(15) ... (now even) much more the gift by grace, ... (he's showing you.)
Who would want to reach out and taste sin and death? Who would want to be a participant? Nobody, even that day we're tricked. Now, Adam wasn't fooled of course, but Eve was. He was tricked. And because she was a part of him, he stood in her stead and took her back. Rest making a refuge for her.
29. So, It says, "Jesus Christ has abounded to the many." What is the results? The result of one is sin and death. And we know it... [blank spot] ...gift is of many offences under justification. It doesn't matter how much you sin, how much you added to Adam's sin, it was bad enough to be a sinner, but that's not the point. Sin could have overflowed, but grace overflowed, overflowing sin. No matter what sin wrought, righteousness wrought superior. So, there is no longer a debt, nor can any man owe a debt to God. It is cleared with a surplus to his benefit and in his behalf. In the 18th verse, It says the same thing:
(18) Therefore, as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; …
One day we're judged we couldn’t get out of it, we're all been judged sinners. All appointed to death, all foreknown of God.
(18) ... even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
The free gift came upon what? All men, but all people aren't men. When He made him Adam, He called him ‘man’. Plural is men. We're not talking about serpent seed ...?.... We're talking about all those who were in Adam, they died but all those were made alive in Christ. And It says, one came unto condemnation, which was the death already foreknown unto condemnation. But now here, souls were already foreknown also. So, when they took this circuitous way of death into the ground when God raised them, they would stand serving before Him and would never come into the judgment. Why? Because the bleach of the Blood of Jesus Christ has eradicated, triumphed once and for all over all sin and death, and there can be no judgment. Why? Because of His righteous act upon the Cross.
30. Christ did one act. Oh, I know the Seventh Day Adventist a bunch of people that don't know the Word want to say that Christ fulfilled the law of God when He walked upon this earth. Certainly, that's a lie from the pit of hell, because the Bible said, "The law worketh wrath, the law worketh death, and Jesus Christ had to die according to the law, he died." And the law was fulfilled when Christ died, so therefore, there can be no judgment. The Scripture distinctly said, "The hand-writing an ordinance which was against you, He has blotted out."
So, how can any ten commandants rise on the day of judgment and say you did this, you did that? That's exactly why David was freed from lusting after his neighbor's wife, and taking her and committing adultery and then killing her husband.
31. You say, Bro. Vayle, you're preaching a pretty strong thing. "I'm preaching the Word of God. You don't like it, you can go and fly a kite. You just try and prove that Adam, that David is in hell. You just try and prove it that I'm telling you something wrong. Because David said, "Blessed is the man whom the Lord will not impute sin, whose iniquities are covered. [Ps 32:2]
There is the blessedness of man unto whom the Lord imputeth righteousness. [Rom 4:6] Why? Because David inherited sin, and he was a sinner by nature. What did you expect of him, smell like roses? You see these roses smelling people who do not live like the devil, have nice prissy ways about them, and they think the glorify God with their stinking Christian Science where they deny the divinity and blood of Jesus Christ our God! Has Satan pose as an angel of light. But his judgement is greater, because he denied the one atonement that can justify. Lord is his only hope, and his only chance, I'll stick with faith. In [Romans 5:] It says,
(19) ...by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, (by one man's disobedience) so by the obedience of one...
"I came to do thy will O God, lo a body has Thou prepared me." [Hebrews 10:5b] Christ had flesh in order to die upon Calvary. The righteous act of Jesus Christ upon Calvary. Absolutely, abundantly, obliterated once and for all the effects of Adam's sin. Why? Because Adam is a figure of Him, which was to come. Amen. "As in Adam all die, even so in Christ every last one in Adam are made alive." [1 Cor 15:22] That’s what It says. By the obedience of One, the many shall be made right.
32. All right notice here, the two results, Adam gave us condemnation, guilt and death. Because of sin in Christ by His act upon Calvary gave us justification and life and kingship, because we reign in this life and in the life to come.
Notice the two differences in the two: First of all, in degree. In degree. In [Romans 5:]15
(15) But not as the offence, so also is the free gift...
Now, notice it. It says, "Not as the offence, so is the free gift." In other words, you can't compare the magnitude of the offence with the free gift. They're just so different in magnitude you can't compare them. It doesn't say, "As was the offence exactly, so is the gift." No! No comparison. Because It says,
(15) ...if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, ... (See?)
33. If the effect of Adam’s sin is grace, the effect of Christ as is our lives, is greater. How many have got that down pat? You know the devil won’t let you get that down pat, if he doesn’t want to. Of course, every one of us came out of the background of legalism…no doubt. Christ plus…Christ plus…Christ plus. Oh, Christ is never enough for the legalist. And every legalist will go down, just exact …?... Because it’s Christ, or perish. It has nothing to do with you and Christ, it is simply Christ, or perish. (See?) Not as it was. Not as the offence. So also is the free gift.
(15) ...if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace.
Notice, grace abounds more than sin. As the Bible says, "If sin abounds, grace does much more abound." [Romans 5:20b] You can take everybody and make him the vilest, rottenest sinner in the world’s seen. You can take everyone in Adam, every human being. Everyone for whom Christ died. Every Elect. You can take him and make him a Paul, absolutely going against the way of Christ, destroying the church of God. A mass murderer. He can be the vilest person. As I say, mound up the highest sins of David, put them all together and It still says,
(15) ...much more the grace of God, ...
34. Oh, I know people get scared, they say, "If you preach that way, then the people are going to do so and so." Oh, go ahead. You haven't got any faith in the Word of God. You don't believe the Word. You don’t believe God. You got some tiddly-widdly experience. You felt good today towards your brother. Or let your brother slap your face tomorrow, and see how you feel. You'd knock his cotton-picking teeth out. Don’t take the lid off. Sure. Pardon my language, don't worry about it. Gets the point across.
Abounding, overflowing grace of God is beyond the sin of Adam, and the consequences thereof, though death was decreed, because all men were sinners for six thousand years. God's grace is greater. Leave you about one scar. The Bible says there'll be no remembrance of the things which are past. It's not only a difference in degree, it's a difference in time, or operations.
35. Notice in [Romans 5:]16
(16) And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
If one sin brought on all of this then it doesn't matter how many sins are sin, not that God is putting a premium on sin. But, where sin is, grace has to abound. One sin brought condemnation and death. Many sins were laid on Christ. So that now we have justification, or righteousness reigning and life. There are two kings. Adam brought the king called 'death', or sin which brought death, and Christ brought grace which brought righteousness.
In verse 17, It says,
(17) For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; (Now, death is reigning, so it's sin. (if by one man's offence death (is reigning with kings) much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, (Christ Jesus).
Now, everybody admits that it’s Adam's sin brought death, and death is therefore reigning. And brother/sister, just as sure as that has happened, eternal life is reigning now. And it will prove that it's reigning by the fact it will take us out of the dust. If we go there, and we'll never come into a judgment. No sir. But we'll reign and rule with Jesus Christ.
36. In verse 21
(21) ...as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
Notice this again:
(21) That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so...
Even so, exactly, "as sin as reigned unto death." What sin? The sin of Adam that you and I inherited, the death decreed upon us. Even so,
(21) ...might grace reign through righteousness...
Who's righteousness? Christ's righteousness. What will it give us? "Eternal Life, and no man can pluck them out of my Father's hand." [John 10:28] The bleach of the Blood of Jesus Christ makes a man absolutely perfect. So there is no sin, and there is no remembrance of sin. There is no judgment, but He has made absolutely free. This brings the abundance and grace and righteousness of God. The two states are contrasted. The contrast is here in this verse, where It says,
(21) That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign ...
This of course means that as sin reigns, this is the slave sold in the marketplace. Why? Because we were sold under sin as the Scripture says. Sold under it.
37. What does it mean when you're sold under sin? It means brother/sister that somebody did the selling, that you didn't have hand in it. If you were taken against your own will and placed in this position, which is exactly true, so that sin reigned, as a slave sold in a marketplace. Even now Christ by His Own volition, freeing up from the marketplace, so that we are never sinners again. We are never slaves again, but placed as sons of God, which we are, and cannot come into condemnation, because we're reigning in life, by one Christ Jesus.
Now then see this: Sin was imputed. If I may use the expression, 'He dies that we live'. Our bodies, our sinful desires were all free gifts imparted from Adam, and personalized by our parents. Remember, they came from Adam, all of our sinful desires. Our sinful nature. Our bodies, in which death reigns. All of these were given to us by Adam, but became personal through our parents giving us life upon this earth. Now, righteousness is imputed in the same way. As our birth was not our works, but imputed, so now is righteousness imputed apart from works. It's the same thing.
38. See, what the Scripture says here in the Book of Romans 4:1-12
(1) What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? (See?)
Pertaining to what he inherited, what he could produce.
(2) For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
Brother/sister, a sinner cannot produce one righteous act. That's true. India has become the graveyard of missionaries. The Hindus could show more love in a truly real Hindu community, then the Christian were producing. It's been known as a graveyard. You can find wonderful people today. But, It says, "By the works of the law shall no flesh be justified." [Gal 2:16] No flesh. Now, if your flesh can't be justified it'll never make the resurrection. No sir, never make the resurrection of glorification. You'll just come out of that ground, (bless your heart) like a bean, I believe like a human being, that you're cast in hell and burn you. No flesh. Nobody, nothing.
39. (2) For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
A lot of people can do a lot of nice things, but get to nowhere with God, doesn't matter what you do. Because all the sinful nature can do is give a sinful work. Having been born in sin, you'll produce sin, that's all. A cow will produce cows, and what a cow will do. A dog will produce dogs, to what a dog will do. And a sinner, I don't care how he acts, he is a sinner and he produces sin. I don't care how good and how sweet, how pure and how wonderful, he acts everything like a child. And he dies, and brother/sister, he dies without Christ, without understanding what I'm talking about, that man will go to hell just as sure as you're born here tonight.
(3) For what saith the scripture? ...
What does the Bible say? "I don't care what the Bible says." Well, I do! The Bible says:
(3) ...Abraham believed God, (and what? His belief in God, his faith) was counted unto him for righteousness.
(4) Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
The harder you work, the worse shape you're in. The Scripture says, "For all have sinned, and has fallen short of the glory of God." [Rom 3:23] It's like Dr. Newell said, "If I were to try to jump from the American coast to the English coast, the man who jumps the furthest is in the worse shape.” And so, the man that tries the hardest, is the man who loses out the most.
40. But notice, "It's not to him that worketh is the reward of grace." No grace. What grace? That brings righteousness. No matter how hard you try you cannot produce the righteousness demanded of God.
(5) But to him that worketh not, but (believe) ...
Believe what? Believes that he's a sinner sold under sin because of Adam. Believes that Adam first, prefigured Christ.
(5) ...but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, ...
How did He do it? By one act. One act is what He did. It says, "He justifieth the ungodly." The ungodly are sinners. Those who are not godly. God cannot declare righteous anybody but a sinner. Now, this is a good one and I'm glad I didn’t write the Bible. And I'm glad I'm here just to preach and believe it. Because the word 'justify' means 'to declare righteous'. (See?)
(4) Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
(5) But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him... (who declares an ungodly man, a godly man, blasts his right, as far as God is concerned, because God says so.)
Because He doesn't declare the righteous, righteous, He declares the ungodly, righteous. For He has come to seek and to save that which was lost! For the one who had ninety and nine sheep in the fold, he rejoices more over the one that he found then those who were not lost in the first place.
41. Why? Because He rejoices over one sinner who repents, then over ninety and nine who don't need of any repentance, because they say, "We're okay the way we are." God justifies or declares righteous, sinners. It's the only person that God can declare righteous, is that who has been lost in Adam. He's an unrighteous person, but God he's righteous. Why? Because you are declared a sinner through high treason of Adam. He knew what he was doing when he did it, and he sold everybody into the bondage of sin. He did it knowing what he was doing, and passed the penalty of sin and death upon all mankind for six thousand years till Christ comes. And Jesus did the very same thing, because he was the same figure. He brought us... He sold us into righteousness, the same as Adam sold us into sin.
Now, It says,
(5) ... his faith is counted for righteousness.
Certainly, because you believe what He did.
(6) Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
Now notice, It says, "As Abraham has whereof to glory, (it wasn't done) but not before God. Abraham is a pretty sweet old character. He took care of his daddy, see his daddy died. He wasn't supposed to, but he did. Real son, you know, fulfilled his duty. Took care of old Lot. Rested and robbed the bear as Paul. Took care and take the kings of Chedorlaomer and so on, way out, back the kings subjects. He tried to help old Lot down there in Sodom and Gomorrah. Old Abraham was up there consorting with God, having a great time. There he was, righteous, dear old fellow. You couldn't say that about David. Oh, lustful, raping, murderer.
42. But, he describes the same blessedness by the Holy Ghost that Abraham, sweet little old man did. There's your contrast. He describes that,
(8) Blessed is the man to whom the Lord... (imputed righteousness with- out works.)
Which means, it's inherited, because if you get something without working for it, it's a gift, or an inheritance. And inheritance and a gift is the same thing from God. Saying, "Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, whose sins are covered, (how?) through the Blood. Blessed is that man to whom the Lord will not impute sin." Well, if He doesn't impute sin, what does He impute? Righteousness. But the man's ungodly. That's exactly what the Bible says. He justifies the ungodly. Checks it out.
Whatever Abraham did was filthy rags. Faith alone, not works. Faith in what? In what Christ did. Well, now look, we've all got faith in what Adam did. You say, "Well, Bro. Vayle, I don't even need any faith, not because I am." But he's the figure of Him to come. Jesus will do in the same way, the opposite. But it would be better. David understands righteousness. Only those with imputed righteousness, or inherited righteousness are blessed.
43. Now notice: just as adamantly as the sin nature and death are imputed to us in Adam with no escape, (see?) so is the righteousness of God just as adamantly imputed to us in Christ. (See?) Can you escape what Adam did? No, everybody goes along with that. But they can't take the fact that Adam was a figure of Christ. They somehow still got it in their little warped minds I know what we're like, yet God put Adam there in the Garden and He said, "Adam, I hope you don't fall, oh, I tell you I hope you don't, but I'm going to put you out there, and just better, be careful." And that One Who sealed up the sum of wisdom which Adam could not cope with, he wasn't as big as the devil, as strong, that's next to God, is the devil, not Adam.
And he had Eve His Own creation, (as it were) his glory, I want to ask you, if that is the glory of God, whose God looking out for? Adam. And if Eve is the glory of Adam, whose he looking out for? Eve. So, if you're thinking so much attention to God's glory? No, for his own. That's the way it is, the way it was made. So, God stand's back and Satan takes over. And ever since then people have an idea that poor old Adam fell and he didn't really have to fall. And the kids could have been born in this world, (you know) beautifully, perfectly, no woman in pain. No sorrow, this and that, oh so nice. But you've got it all wrong, God brings them out of the dust and they've got to die. But to God he's got to have a reason to let them die and let the devil come in and trick him. And he becomes a Savior and gets him out of the dust anyway. That's exactly how it is.
But, you see if Adam were Adam did, now is what Christ did. And just as Adam believed, just as firmly, just as strongly, just as irrevocably as the sin nature and death are imputed to us in Adam, with no escape whatsoever, so is the righteousness of God just as adamantly, and just as perfectly imputed to us in Christ, but more so.
44. Now, in 2 Corinthians 5: we have this, (which we have gone into before) It says,
(21) For he hath made (Jesus) to be sin for us, (He) who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God (by our union with) him.
There it is, It says here that God made Jesus Christ to be the sin offering for us. I told you when I started, that if sin is the trouble with this world, (and it is) then God has to have a perfect antidote for sin, sin must have been dealt with, or Christ died in vain.
Now, Adam sinned by one unrighteous act. Christ became the sin offering, and by one righteous act, as we died in Adam, even so we're alive in Christ, but more so. If tonight you can honestly say that you will die in this body here, you can just as honestly say that you will never die, because of your union with Christ. And if you honestly know tonight you have been born into sin you are a sinner; you can honestly say tonight with even more fervor and conscientious expression, that you are the righteousness of Almighty God. And sin cannot have any condemnation, because that which is born of God cannot sin, and sin cannot be imputed to it, under no condition.
45. Let's look over here in the Book of 1 Corinthians 15:45-49 and It says:
(45) And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; (and he was, but he died, because sin entered and corrupted his body, and) the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
You will notice that they are both called Adam. They are both called man. Adam means 'ruddy of the clay'. Whatever Adam was you can positively know that Christ was almost a hundred percent like him. In fact, as far as I'm concerned that would not be surprised that Adam's body and Christ's body were identical. The only difference there would be because the Spirit of God making Him have the Blood of God. Which would have to be said, for the very life that Adam sinned away, and therefore the body had to die. But now, because of Christ that body will come out of the grave in the resurrection. See, the resurrection is very important, (see) otherwise, why be born again? See, but I'm born again, born again, what for? What are you born again for? There's a resurrection coming.
46. Now,
(46) Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; ... (We are by nature, sinners. We are propagated by the bodies that came out of the dust, but) afterward that which is spiritual.
(47) The first man is of the earth, earthy; ...
We were in the first man of the earth earthy. Now, we're in the second man, which is the Lord of Heaven.
(48) (And) as is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: (every- body's born in Adam in this pattern,) and as is the heavenly, (see?) so, such are they also that are heavenly.
In other words, you were once like Adam, now you're just like Jesus Christ. I'll prove it to you,
(49) And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
All right, you now, notice this. This is not some half baked, half cocked idea going in our minds now. You yes, the Bible does say, unless I’m born means earthy, and I can bear the image of the heavenly. Oh yes, I think I've got it now. Well let's see, I think I'll look at it again. Now, I was in the image of Adam. Oh yes, I sure missed that. Adam I'm a sinner, yes you started it, but I set the ball rolling, and that's right. Now, let me see, maybe there's a chance somehow if I hold my mouth just right, and if I do just right, and I've got it all figured out in my little peanut mind, and I act apart from God so I can bypass sin, work it out myself, I'll be in that image."
47. Now, you see how our minds think. Oh, it’s not that we’re being dramatic tonight. I always figured that I’d always be preaching God's grace, I don't have it known. Isn't that how we've been thinking? I'm in His image, yes, but, if you, well… Just a minute, if you have born this earthy image, you have got to bear the heavenly. "Oh, but Bro. Vayle, you put it so strongly. … Well, go to hell then. It’s all right by me. Bring something in the judgment, but, up before it’s too late. Someday we'll be saying, "Oh God, I believe You, yes, I know You’ll come back. I love God.” Yeah. Sarcasm is good at times. Very good, because it's very necessary. Because it is cutting, and exasperating.
God says, He scourges His children you can draw the blood. I'm just doing a little tongue lashing. Not for you, but for me. I'm just glad you're here so I can talk this way. You're really playing second fiddle, because I'm preaching myself. Because I know, I only know too well that this mind is the enemy of God. Because this mind wants its own thoughts, not God's thoughts.
48. It says: "As we have borne the image of the earthy, as we were in Adam and sold under sin by Adam, and Adam's image of failure we shall also, just as certainly… God says, "Even more certainly…shall you bear the image of the heavenly, because in Him there's no perversion." As we have inherited the image of Adam which tended to complete corruption. Now, we are in the image of the heavenly. Christ our Adam.
You say, "Hold it." Yes, He is our Adam, because It calls Him the last Adam. We now inherit the perfection of the heavenly. Yet, righteousness is imputed. Exactly as the Adamic nature was. "But eye hath not seen, nor ear heard the perfection which are ahead." [1 Corinthians 2:9a] Or deep and vile as sin, and as consequences are, and they are all imputed. They came to us gratis, we were born with it. How much more wonderful is the imputed righteousness of God by a pre-act of God, even grace?
49. What are we coming to? What is the thought that I'm bringing out tonight, if I were to condense it in a nutshell? Well, we could say this in Romans 5:15
(15) But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if...
For if! Not if as though it could have happened, or didn't happen. Because it did happen. So, it's not if for sin. For sin, or because:
(15) ...(of) the offence of one many be dead, (see?) much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is (also) by one man, ... (see, the last Adam) Jesus Christ, (He was a man) hath abounded unto many.
The idea here is not only that grace is more abundant, (which it is) but it clearly states this: if the one dispensation, Adam's sin bringing us death has occurred, much more the other has occurred. Now, so how many get it? What's more real to you tonight? Adam’s act, because you're caught in it, or the act of Christ that you believe?
My Bible says, that one day everything filthy is going to be completely destroyed, sin and all. Death and sin shall be thrown in the lake of fire and destroyed. So, what's the greater? The acts of Christ. It clearly states that the one dispensation, Adam's sin, and bringing death has occurred, (which it did) much more the other has occurred.
If we die for the one, after that, much more we shall live for the acts of another, Jesus Christ. In plain English if one thing has happened, much more certainly the others can be relied upon as had happened. For as old Daddy Bosworth said, "Never believe you doubts, (don’t pay attention to them,) never doubt your faith, (he said) if you must doubt, doubt your doubts, they're unreliable." Which is true.
50. If the one happened, the other much more surely has happened. Now, we can see why it is that all of these preachers who have preached sin and death and hell fire, they rouse the congregation to come to the altar, fool the public. Because anybody in his right mind, or out of his right mind, knows he's a sinner.
The question is not to belabor the fact that a man is a sinner, he knows it. But to magnify the fact of the glorious work of Jesus Christ. It's not to magnify the fact that you have been a sinner, or to magnify sin, that's not it. Because everybody knows that sin and death is here. But, if it has occurred, and it has, and we know it. The Scripture says, "Much more certain the other is." Now, there's where we need the revelation. And not only so much a revelation brother/sister, but just a good heart to heart talk with ourselves, where once and for all we agree with God's Word and lineup. For the Scripture says, "Though death reigns in a man the most, even over those who have not sinned the way Adam had sinned. It says, "The last Adam was a figure of Christ." And if it hadn't been for Adam brother/sister, Christ could not have come.
51. So, therefore the only sure way to bring Christ was to have Adam. So, Adam came and we came with him. Adam came because we were in him. Adam sinned and we sinned with him. But, when Christ came we were in Him. And when He died, we died. And when He arose, we arose. So, "there is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus." [Rom 8:1a]
Why? Because we are not longer after the flesh. No longer. That's been taken care of, that which came in Adam, has now been taken care of in Jesus Christ. It's the one is certain, if you're certain tonight that you were a failure, if you're certain tonight that you needed the Blood, and if you're certain tonight that you needed God, then much more certain is the fact that the Blood has availed, and you have God and the sin question is finished. Because brother/sister, the sin question is not changed, nothing will change.
But, It says, as Adam started the sin question, God finishes it. It's been happened, righteousness happened. If an act did it, a previous, more than undid it. And it's no longer just an undoing my brother, my sister. That wouldn’t be sufficient in the sight of God. He now brings us to the place, "Where eye has not seen, nor ear heard," and will always never again never know the glory that shall be revealed in us, because of the work of Jesus Christ.
52. That's why I say tonight to understand the sin question, is to understand the righteousness question. Because if one be true, the other is much truer. For one must be judged in the lake of fire, but the other will sit in the Throne and reign forever.
May God help us to have our minds completely renewed by the Word of God through the help of the Holy Ghost. And I trust even my little unrelenting and unreliable gift of sarcasm, has been a little helpful. Because believe me, I have had no wrath or venom to pour upon on anybody else. But only upon a principle of unbelief that we should dare to question the Word of God, and to make ourselves a judge as though we had anything in them. But, it's a free gift. One was a free gift, the other is much more. But the one brought death, then the other much more life. The other brought the falling of sin, but the other brought the perfection of God.
Are you going to believe it? Amen. That's exactly what the Bible teaches. The Lord bless you. Let's rise and be dismissed and keep in mind the Word of God and praise Him until we...time this takes precedence, because this must take precedence in our lives.
Gracious Heavenly Father, we thank You for again allowing us to be together. Thanking You, my God, to preach the good strong solid meat of the Word of God. The great timbers of the Cross, as it were, that come against that little old puny tree of the knowledge of good and evil. No, it can't stand, but the Cross shall stand. Hallelujah. Lord God, with Thou hast done shall stand. And we shall stand with it, because it was done for us and in us, as we once were in the image of the earthy. Which is perfectly pure and we were natural living souls.
Now, in Christ Jesus our Lord we are life everlasting and reigning and ruling in this life, the righteousness of God and will certainly bear the very image of the heavenly when these bodies of ours shall be redeemed like unto His Own glorious body. And all nature with it, hallelujah.
Father, we thank You tonight, not even in smugness, not any part of ourselves, but with all sincerity and great joy, that we were in Adam, and we died. But now indeed, Lord, in Thy Self, we there died upon Calvary with You to the spiritual desolate, negative spiritual things of this world. That we might rise in the complete liberation in Thee.
So, our Father, tonight may everyone here in divine Presence, know what it is to be pure as the prophet of God to teach It. That's the bleach of the Blood of Jesus Christ has taken away any remembrance of sin. And the Bride shall not come into condemnation, because she cannot, she’s been judged in Jesus Christ. Lord, let the peace of God, and the peace with God settle our hearts and our minds by the undaunted prevailing Word of God tonight. Lord let Your Word be true and every man's words and thoughts a lie. We want this tonight, Lord, we're anxious for it. If, there's anything, Lord, who'd ever believe, wanted to believe with all of our hearts, and do with all of our hearts, Lord, is tonight. So, let everybody be a liar, and let God be true. Hallelujah
That as sin has once reigned in death, now how much more in this life shall we reign in our reign in righteousness by one Christ Jesus. Hallelujah. Lord, the figure of Adam, prefiguring has not been fulfilled in us, and we claim our liberty and our constellation and our complete eternal reward in You. Bless each one to that end, O God. Fire us up, let even our dreams. Lord God, our thoughts upon the bed, our waking hours, all of these things, Lord, be in the solemnity of the grand ability, O God. Just meditate upon this truth we pray it, Lord, for Your glory, Lord, we want to glorify You. But, Lord, tonight we pray it for our eternal good, because we want to make the Bride. We want to be in that number. We pray it, we praise it, we believe it. Amen. God bless you.
