The Mysteries of God
Saskatchewan Camp Meetings
Bro. Lee Vayle July 6, 1971
Let’s bow out heads for prayer:
Heavenly Father, we’re so glad that You’ve allowed us to come together again for worship in Thy Presence, Lord. For we know Whom we have believed, and are persuaded that You’re able to keep that which we have committed unto You against that day. You know our hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ love and righteousness. We know we’ve not only a sure foundation, but everything about You is true, Lord. One day, we’re going to meet You face to face, invincible glory, Lord. We believe we’re going to hear Your words to us, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” They ...?... our Lord. We pray now, Lord, that every heart is brought under complete captivity to Thee, O God, for Thy glory Lord, that we rejoice. That everything that we might think of and do from now on, that it might be to the praise and glory of Thy grace.
And, Lord, whatever needs are, we pray that You’ll answer at this time that if there be someone sick among us. Someone with a great need at this moment. we pray, Lord, that by Jesus Christ, they shall receive the help they have need of at this hour. And now, Lord, as we look to Your Word, may the people realize that it is Your Word, ‘Thus Saith The Lord’, not what man has to say, but what the Word says is what counts. But, Lord, we know that’s our start. We have to know what You say to us, and then we know we can either have faith, or not have faith, depending how we’re going to direct our spirits. So we have a free moral agency down deep in there, and they can do what we want with it. But tonight, Lord, we know we’re here, because we want to do the right thing.
And there’s not one person here, not one, young or old, whatever the position is, I believe every single one, wants that spirit within them to reach out and say yes to Jesus tonight. To look to, that Word, to revere that Word, and bow to It. So, therefore, Lord, we’re trusting that the Word shall go forth exactly as You’d have It to go forth, and it shall be, Lord, for Your glory, and for the edification of Your saints. We’ll be careful to give you the praise in Jesus’ Name. Amen. The Lord bless you, you may be seated.
1. Now, I know that rain out there making so much noise that I suppose I’ll be afraid that you can’t hear, but, I know you can because the volume is coming back to me. So, I’ll just try to keep aware of that, and not get myself out of balance. You know, that’s how it is in life…we see a little tide come in sometime, and we’re afraid there’s too much water, really there’s not. You know the Bible says, “A righteous man shall fall seven times, but the Lord will raise him up.” [Prov 24:16] Wonder if that Bible evidence [inaudible comments] I don’t know the chapter and verse, He was amazed. You know that’s right. We do fall, but the Lord does raise us up. Now last night I brought out some points to you, messages, trying to make them different to bring you a variety. You must remember, I’m not a pastor.
I know I can’t be in a great place to have a real time where’s there’s the moving of the Spirit in a worshipful way, and that’s good. I’m not against it, but, I’m all for it. And I wish every moment would be that way. But, there’s a pastor that brings out those thoughts on the Lord Jesus Christ that cause people to reverence Him more, and it has just such a nice spirit of adoration. But you know, when it comes to teaching, you’re always not able to do that, because you must stick to your subject, and bring out what God has said upon that very subject. And, you can work with the Lord with it, because your faith is being built up, because you know more and more what the Word says. And the more and more we know what the Word says, and the more and more then you believe It, because your understanding of agency, takes revelation. And the greater is your faith.
2. And then of course, sometimes things must be said, …seems a little cutting, I don’t really mean it that way. And what it is, it’s not anybody in particular I think of but, I think of what is done, by particularly, done, that should not be done amongst us. I was speaking last night about dreams. Well, someone might think, “Well, Bro. Vayle is against dreams.” Well, I sure am, if they’re not noted. I’ve got to be. Because the prophet said, “Unless there’s a prophet in the land, to interpret your dreams. Your dream must be absolutely, unsurpassed, verbatim as they were seen.” Now, I know right away, “Well, I think I’ve got something.” Now look. You ain’t got nothing. But, the prophet said different. Now, I don’t want to hurt your feelings. You say, “Bro. Vayle, you don’t have any love.” It’s because I love you, I talk to you this way.
If the prophet said It, I believe It. He has ‘Thus Saith The Lord’. Now what kind of a God do you worship? Is He holy, and righteous, and jealous, and all of those? Didn’t He say to Israel, “With whom did I take counsel? Where were you when I laid the foundation beneath, Bro. Job?” Listen. Same God who would let any man say, ‘Thus Saith The Lord’, and get away with deceit. It couldn’t be God today. Right? This man had “Thus Saith The Lord’, God speaking through lips of grace. The Holy Ghost by the mouth of David knows, the Holy Ghost by the mouth of William Branham said It, your dreams must be absolutely coming to pass the way he saw them. I’m illustrating...quite sometime back now, I had a dream that I knew it from the Lord.
3. I told my wife that a certain family that I love deeply, would turn against me. But I said, “Don’t worry, they’re going to turn back.” They turned against us. You talk about a …well you people have the ‘northern lights’ up here. We are the northern lights. We’re on the ice cap. We’re in an igloo, with not much protection. But, it didn’t bother me, I said, “They’ll turn back.” They did. Nothing was explained. They found they were wrong. The dream came to pass exactly as I thought. Now, I had other dreams, but, I’m not a spiritual dreamer. No, no, no, no. But, don’t tell Bro. Vayle he’s a dreamer of dreams. So, they were surprised what they might dream up. He said, “No, no, no spiritual dreamer.” But I had dreams, that I knew as something to them, but, because they wouldn’t come to pass exactly as I saw them. I can’t say, I’ve got to keep my mouth shut.
The talking of these dreams; if you think you have from God but you don’t know, but you’ll tell somebody. They’ll say “That’s fascinating”, and that person will tell it, and there is where the mischief is. Don’t... no! Listen to the prophet, right? Remember what Bro. Branham said about ‘Pentecostal bait’. He wasn’t running down Pentecostals. I wondered about St. Martin, said he had that visit or something, of that big beautiful personage, and who had crowns on and said, “Martin, don’t you recognize me?” He said, “I’m your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.” And Martin sort of scratched his head, and he said, “Martin, don’t you recognize Me, having worshipped Me all this time? I’m your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.” He looked back there, and He said, “Martin, worship Me.” And Martin said, “Get thee behind me Satan.” The Bible says we’ll crown Him when we get there, …you’re wearing all your crowns now. The devil disappeared.
4. I said, “Boy, that would be Pentecostal bait.” Well you know that’s not what Jesus said. Peter said that when he was with the Lord in the Mount of Transfiguration, when the voice from excellent glory saying, “This is My Beloved Son, hear Him.” And he said, “We have a more, sure word of prophecy, than even that mighty earth-staggering vision. He said, “Get back to the Word.” You’ve got a little something last night, my nature is to be a little bit rough on certain things, I don’t try to be rough on people. So, I hope you understand that. It’s all said for a purpose, and in the little message last night on the …?... without a warning. [inaudible comments] …on ‘The Mysteries of God’. But I’m not going to draw on the mysteries of God tonight. I’ll just tell you about them. Then tomorrow morning, the message on ‘The Mystery of Iniquity’. And this will be setting the stage for the message on the Mystery of Iniquity.
And then, I don’t think I’ll take any more services on mysteries. I preached on the Mystery of the Resurrection; Rapture; and so on. But, we’ll let that be, I think at this time because there’s other subjects, and I want to be as diversified as I can. So, if you have your Bibles with you, you’ll need them if you want to read with me. But, you really won’t need them for the split second…just for a split second.
5. I’m just going to read from the Book of Revelation 10:1-4 remember chapter 10: is 3 and 7. Number of God is 3, and 7 is conclusion, perfection.
(1) And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with
a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the
sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
At the same time standing on the earth in verse 7, there’s another one who is a prophet.
(7) … in the days of the voice of (that) seventh (Church Age Messenger),
There’s only one seventh messenger mentioned in the Bible, and that’s over in Revelation 3:14 and he’s called the ‘messenger to the Church in Laodicea’. Now, It says,
(7) But in the days of the voice of the seventh (Church Age Messenger),
when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as (God has) declared to (that’s announced to those that believe in the gospel) his servants the prophets.
The word is; ‘consummated’, and ‘perfected’. In other words, it’s absolutely all over, and it’s brought to a…perfection. In other words, there won’t be one thing missing, there won’t be one thing out of order. And Bro. Branham always said concerning this verse, that in the end time this Seventh Church Age Messenger would bring out all the mysteries of Almighty God. So, I say with him, the Bible says here the mysteries of God would be finished at the end time. They will be revealed by the Seventh Church Age Messenger.
6. Now, some of these mysteries are mentioned in the Bible. First of all, we turn to the Book of
1 Timothy 3:16
(16) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
And then, over in 2 Timothy 2:7 without reading It you will recall, that is the mystery of iniquity. The mystery of iniquity, that already works. Then over here in the Book of Romans 11:25 Paul speaking said,
(25) For I would not, brethren, that (you) should be ignorant of this mystery, lest (you) should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
There is another mystery in the Word of Almighty God.
7. And then over in the Book of Revelation 17:5
(5) And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
And then, over in,
1 Corinthians 15:51-5, Paul speaking on the mystery of the Rapture.
(51) Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all
be changed,
(52) In a moment, … at the last trump: (and so on) …
Now, these only as you know, are a few of the Scriptures of the mysteries throughout history, that are named in the Bible. There are many more of them. Now tonight we’re going to consider exactly what a mystery is. Because there’s no point in continuing if we don’t know what a mystery is. But I would not be surprised if the majority of you have not followed through this subject, and do not really understand exactly what a mystery is. But there, the very word itself ‘mystery’, bears down upon us, until the little bit of praying, that it’s too overwhelming for us to ever understand. Now first of all, a mystery is certainly not something about which we can know nothing, or there’d be no point in even mentioning it. Now, I cannot do something about which you can know nothing. You’ve got to be able know something about it, otherwise it wouldn’t be in the Bible. Because the Bible says, “The secret things belong unto the Lord our God,” but those things that are revealed unto us, belong unto us.
Certainly. It’s in the Bible, it’s been revealed in a mystery, so there’s something you can know about them. So, you ought to find out what we can know about mysteries. Now, not only is that so, but neither can they be so mysterious that they cannot be comprehended, or understood. Now, that’s true. Many people look at a mystery, well I tell you…every time I see that word ‘mystery’ in the Bible, I think, ‘oh there’s something so mysterious, I’ll never be able to get it, I’ll never understand it. So, I’ll just sort of pass it by, I'll just keep it by and maybe someday some smart person will come by and tell me about it.’ Now listen. Bro. Branham told us, “Revelation 10:7 the mystery of God to all be revealed at the time of the Seventh Church Age Messenger, so therefore these mysteries can be known, and furthermore, they must be known.”
8. Right? All right. Now, Paul explains the mystery very thoroughly. So, we’ll go to Romans 16:25 All right,
(25) Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, …
Remember how we spoke on the present truth the first night? Now that word ‘steadfast’, established. How’s it going to be done? By a revelation. See? God. Now, of Him it’s the power, establish you according to my gospel. Notice what Paul called it…my gospel. My, nobody’s heard about that, do they? Oh my, they just love to talk about dear, sweet Paul. Well I just like to talk about dear, sweet William Branham, I never knew Paul. Branham’s message…did he hear Branham’s message? I’d like to take time to tell you but I don’t dare, because we’re on a subject tonight, and I’ve got to stick with it. But Branham…William Branham prophet of God, has a message. Amen. Now,
(25) … according to my gospel, (said Paul, and even) the preaching of Jesus
Christ
The word ‘and’ in the Greek, it’s translated ‘kai’, and many times it’d be translated ‘even’.
(25) …(even) the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the
mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
9. Now, I’m going to read that verily, in the …?... translation, to literalize this Scripture. “Now for one, who has the power to establish you according to my gospel, even the proclamation concerning Jesus Christ, according to the uncovering of the mystery which during eternal times, has been kept in silence but now has been made known”.
See? Something which was a mystery. Something hard to be understood. But Paul said, “It’s now been made known.” Surely by prophetic writings, according to the mandate of the eternal God. God made a command that these mysteries be unknown since these great things in the Word are going to be revealed unto us, having been made known. With the view through the obedience of faith amongst all nations. Now, It says right here, if they’ve been made known in order that you can have an obedience of faith. In other words, look to what has been revealed, and stay with it! See? Now, notice also, having been made known the view with the obedience of faith from among all nations. God alone-wise, through Jesus Christ, to Him be glory for ever and ever. Does that sound like a mystery or something that you know nothing about? Does that sound like a mysterious something you can’t understand until you really get acquainted with and know it?
It sure doesn’t sound like it to me. Sounds like a mystery that’s not half as mysterious as people have tried to tell us. Now, Paul tells you that the eternal Word. Think of …?... Paul tells you that eternal Word, God’s foreknowledge, can be made known. It has been made known. It is now knowable.
10. Let’s go now, and trace it through. Ephesians 3:1-7
(1) For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
(2) If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given
me to you-ward:
(3) How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote
afore in a few words,
(4) Whereby, when (you) read, (you) may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
Absolutely conversant with it. He said, …?... but absolutely I am conversant with it.
(5) Which in other (generations) was not made known unto the sons of men,
as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
Paul claiming a revelation…a superior revelation to anything they had to the other nations. Even though they said the same thing, and understood it to a point, they did not have the clarity. My, what clarity we were going to have through the prophet’s message, if we would only believe it. What other men wondered at…we know. What other men strove to see…we see. What other men wanted…we have. Oh, what glorious, wonderful revelation that we have, and received it breaking before our eyes.
11. Now,
(6) That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers
of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
(7) Whereof I was made a minister, (through) the gift(s) of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
Here’s a man who would minister to the very grace of Almighty God. And if He sent the Word, He was ministering grace to the hearer. He was able to come to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. My, what a wonderful calling Paul had. Again, over in Colossians 4:3
(3) Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:
Now, how would you like a man come and tell you something you couldn’t understand? It wouldn’t work. See? Why? Because the gospel must be in simplicity. It must be available. It is sheep food, remember, if you’re going to have sheep food, you’ve got to put them on the ground. Right. Try to get them way down where the sheep can get it. The land title.
12. Paul ministering this Word, again in 1 Corinthians 4:1
(1) Let a man so account of us, (he said, “Listen, I want you to recognize
me thee as such,) as (a minister) of Christ, and (a steward) of the
mysteries of God.
I am a steward. Now, what’s a steward? A steward is a man who administers another man’s possession, in order to bring that man in an abundance upon that which he has invested. God investing in all the mysteries of God. And Paul bringing those mysteries out as a steward, and bringing the sheep to Almighty God. See?
13. All right, let’s also go now to Mark, and take a good look at this one. Mark 4:11-12
(11) And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the
kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done
in parables:
(12) That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and
not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.
It says, they can’t get it, they will not get it, because God doesn’t want them to have it…or, He’d have them in His kingdom. But He said, “It’s given to you.” It’s given to you, you’re going to hear it. You’re going to see it. So, your eyes are opened. So, you understand. So, you’re absolutely converted, and turned right around, and you’ll be a part of that kingdom. Now, you can see right there, that if you’re going to be in that kingdom, we’re going to have to know about these mysteries. Now, the spirit of religious history, this history of course, dealt with the day the Apostle Paul had this to say about the mysteries. Among the ancient Greeks, the mysteries were religious rites and ceremonies, practiced by secret societies into which anyone who so desired, might be received, …whosoever will. See? Those who are initiated into these mysteries, became possessors of certain knowledge which was not imparted to the uninitiated, and they were called ‘the perfected’.
14. In the days of the Apostle Paul, which we saw from these illustrations. There would be clubs so to speak, these lodges so to speak, and you would become a member and called one of the perfected ones, when you took the training of the Word that they gave you. So, it is, you’re going to see Paul using this very illustration in,1 Corinthians 2:1-10
(1) And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech
or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
(2) For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and
him crucified.
(3) And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
(4) And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's
wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
(5) That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power
of God.
(6) Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: …
Who are they? The initiated ones, those to who have been given the secrets of the organization. Being baptized into Christ, to whom is given the Word of God by Spirit, and revelation which nobody else can possibly have. Now, wouldn’t it have been great for Paul to have attempted to give the people this very thing, which would have been revealed to them by the Holy Spirit. And He was given in a way contrary to what the same Spirit would reveal it. Couldn’t do it. Paul’s words, and the revelation that he wants. The very words of this man, would be the very words of God. And those who were baptized into the body of the Lord Jesus Christ by the Holy Ghost, would receive that Word which would be revealed unto them, and become their very life. Why? Because faith is life. You don’t get eternal life outside of faith, brother/sister.
15. Bro. Branham said, “There is no way to get It, except by believing.” He said, “You try to figure a way out, and show it to me.” How would you approach It? How would you come to It? How would you reach out and get It? How would you know if you had It? There’s no way but faith. And faith come by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Now, notice he goes on to say,
(6) Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: (sure, we understand it) yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, (the persons and the great ones, when the rulers have) come to (nothing:)
They’re all going to perish.
(7) But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom,
which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
(8) Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
Now, there you are right there. The very Word of God in a mystery, Isaiah 53: they turned down. Absolutely. Now you and I really say, “Well, that was Jesus Christ.” How blind can Israel get? You say, “That’s not a mystery at all.” It certainly was a mystery right there. It’s been brought into full view…and apprehended. Now,
(9) But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered
into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that
love him. (See? This is serious.)
(10) But (now) God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit (searches) all things, yea, the deep things of (Almighty) God.
16. With that we go to Galatians 1:11-12
(11) But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
(12) … neither (I) received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation
of Jesus Christ.
Paul himself, telling us this, that He wouldn’t be able to get this except by the fact that God had revealed it to him by His Spirit. Now, remember what he said here in Romans 16:25
(25) Now to (one) that (has) the power to (establish) you according to my gospel, (even the proclamation concerning) Jesus Christ, according to the (uncovering) of the (mysteries), which …
During eternal times has been kept in silence, but now has been made known by prophetic language, according to the mandate, or decree from the...
(26) …(Eternal) God, having been made known with the view through the obedience of faith (among) all nations to,
(27) God alone-wise …through Jesus Christ (to Him be glory) for ever (and ever)…
17. God made a mandate that the Seventh Church Age Messenger; God made a decree; God made an ordinance; God said, ‘Thus Saith the Lord’ there’s going to be a Seventh Church Age Messenger, and he’s going to reveal all the mysteries. And you’re going to get them, because you are a part of that kingdom, and the rest are going to be blinded, though it’s just as clear as clear can be to you. You’ll get it, but, the rest won’t. See? Now, thus you can see what mysteries are. They are the revealed truths of the Word of God to the Elect. Which nobody but the Elect can get, and everybody else can’t figure out. So, as much as they try, they can never get it. See? Now, don’t forget to put the emphasis on revelation. That’s the thing. Remember Nicodemus saw Jesus Christ. But, he saw God.
Oh, it took him, and he said, “Rabbi, you’ve got to be a man sent from God, some kind of a teacher.” Because he said, “Nobody, can do what You’re doing. I’m looking at a man, and the things that are happening, only the words of God can bring to pass. What is going on here?” Jesus said, “Forget it, you won’t get it.” It takes revelation. You’ve got to be born again. He said, “You don’t even understand these things here.” Man, with a microscope, does his best to understand nature, is always running afoul. And he’ll keep running afoul until he dies. How are you going to get to God? You won’t do it. See? It takes a revelation.
18. Look what ends up here in John 3: 27 just to get you the idea... that chapter.
(27) John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from (above).
I want to receive that message. Not unless it’s a message received from above. I want to receive Christ. Not unless it’s given to you from above. I want to get to know these truths. Not unless it’s given to you from above. Now, don’t forget to put the emphasis on revelation. because that’s where Paul put it. So, you can coordinate what I’m saying, with what Bro. Branham taught, when he used the Scofield Bible definition, to define mysteries. Now you’ll know that here, some of you, the rest have got the tapes of the book. Here’s what Bro. Branham said, “A mystery in Scripture is a previously hidden truth.” Previously hidden, but not now. See? Now divinely revealed. But, in It a supernatural element remains, despite the revelation. That’s where your faith is. We might as well admit that this is what makes a believing Elect, the pure food and the …?... for the non-elect.
19. It’s hidden to them, just what Jesus said in Mark [4:11-12]. You see It. You understand It. How often did William Branham stand there with ‘Thus Saith The Lord’? It didn’t take them. It should’ve taken them. Remember the Scripture said, “…he didn’t tremble in My presence, why did he not tremble in My presence?” [Jer 5:22] The Pillar of Fire hung there and I’m ashamed to say, I was as guilty as anyone as closing in on that one, as almost a side-show.
There shouldn’t have been one of us, but sit there in tears, groaning in the aisles and the floor. But we stood there as Bro. Branham said, “Familiarity, breeding contempt.” The very Presence of God, the Pillar of Fire, a man with ‘Thus Saith The Lord’. And yet remember at the West Coast, last time Bro. Branham was there, …I forget, Covina, (Ca.) …I don’t know where it was…the last night, and there they had the banquet, and Bro. Branham said, “I come back last night and I tell you ladies, I bawled you out, I’ve done all I can to help you,”
20. I said, “Don’t cut your hair. Watch those skirts. Don’t you go creeping off. Every year I come back, he said, You’re worse than ever.” Ha, ha, ha, titter, titter, titter. I tell you, I was so mortified, I’d have crawled under the table, or under a rug. But, they only laughed at a prophet with ‘Thus Saith The Lord’. What do you want? What kind of a God have you got? What kind of a God are you worshipping? What is in your thoughts, your heart, or your mind? So, listen to ‘Thus Saith The Lord’. And see it come to pass a thousand …?... And then men stand back nonchalant . There’s only one Word my brother, my sister. Blind. Blind. Blind. You can’t explain any one of these mysteries with a perfect understanding to the natural mind…the Bible says so. How often have I stood in the pulpit anointed? Knowing I said exactly the right thing and knew it was one hundred percent with that Word.
Only to find someone later on ask me a question. And you know my nature, I’m a little quick. I didn’t want to hurt the person’s feelings. Took, almost a little abruptly. I said, “Look, I know It’s the truth, but, I can’t explain It.” How often has Bro. Branham brought these sacred things to our attention. He never could explain It, to the natural mind, even though that mind literally has the Holy Spirit in It to help us. There never has been, or will be a time when you can ever adapt this Word to the carnal mind, and place It out. That’s exactly why Paul said, “You can memorize it, and get it down letter perfect, doesn’t still doesn’t mean a thing, because it doesn’t ring the bell of faith, that makes your heart light upon Jesus Christ, and know that you’re one of them.
21. Identify yourself by the Word of God, which is Jesus Christ. That’s what he’s trying to tell us. It is a revelation. And we see It, by the Spirit of God, not, the spirit of man. Listen to what It says over here in John 16:12
(12) I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
Do you hear what I said? Jesus said, “I have a lot of things to tell you, but you won’t get it.” You haven’t got what it takes. I know again, you might not like my vernacular, but you’ve sure got the meaning that time…didn’t you? Jesus said, “You haven’t got what it takes, so, there’s no use in telling you.” But listen. I see It, that when He, the Spirit of truth is come, you’ll have what it takes. You’ll be all right then. You’ll get it. No problem. It’s all yours. Now listen brother, I’m going to quote to show you that I’m on the right track.
Quoting; [The Anointed Ones at the End Time 65-07-25]
[Page 59 Par 262]
…remember the third pull was the opening of them Seven Seals to reveal the hidden Truth that’s been sealed in the Word.
Preached, the mysteries come down from God as the Word of God, and reveal to him the entire revelation of God. Have I showed you the truth about the mysteries? It’s the prophet’s quote. The Word that came down from God, is a mystery. And it could never be clear. But, you can put your faith upon it, except you’ve been given by the power of God, to receive It. And guarantee you’d be able to receive the Word of God, that you need for your day, had been guaranteed by the Holy Ghost, who exhorts people who are sealed with the Holy Ghost, according to the very day of redemption. Now, listen now see, that the mystery actually equates the doctrine. Right? The mysteries are actually the doctrine. God’s wisdom or truth, transmitted to man in order that he may comprehend, and as far as it is humanly capable, to allow the Spirit to reveal It unto him.
22. That’s right. God showed us, we believe It. This is why there is that element of the supernatural …?... in the clear teaching. Now then, there are certain provisions set forth in the Word, that as these mysteries coming to the people. Hear what I said now? We know what they are. These doctrines, these truths, these great things in the Bible. They’ve been obscure. Some were obscure in the Old Testament, brought out clearly.
Now, some are obscured in the New Testament days, but at the end time they’re brought into full revelation, manifestation. That’s right. Now, what are the conditions we’re in now, in order that the people receive these mysteries? All right. I’m going to read them, and give you them by proving them. Now, only men gifted by God, can bring any revelation to the Elect. Only men gifted by God, can bring a revelation to the Elect.
23. Ephesians 3:7-10
(7) Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of
God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
This, is an ordained, elected office.
(8) Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given,
that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
(9) …to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which
from the beginning (that’s before eonian times…times of peril) of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
Now, there you are right there. There’s the great mystery right there. God, creating all things by Jesus Christ. They didn’t know that. They only knew Elohim, El Elah, Adonai, Jehovah, and so on.
(10) To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly
places might be (made) known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
Remember, I preached on that, showing you Sunday morning, God’s great masterpiece there, the Bride, who all ages by His Word comes down by the faithful, elect, ministers of God, who placed the Bread of the Word of Life, to those who’d receive It. It’s given to these certain ones.
24. Now, notice also, you can hold your finger there, and now go back again to 1 Corinthians 4:1
(1) Let a man so account of us, …
He said, “Listen, I want to tell you, if you want to see anything of me; if you want to make a summation of my life; if you want to put your finger on me and sum me up, then you say, “You are ...?... here’s what I want you to say about it.” That man is a
(1) … (minister) of Christ, and (he’s a steward) of the (mysteries and doctrine and teaching) of God. (Sanctified to bring forth the Word to me.)
This is exactly what Paul said. Now, you look if Bro. Branham said that, you’d want to tar and feather him. Right? And if that’s the case, tar and feather Paul. “Fine,” said Paul. because I don’t know what vindication is called here, but, it still not on William Branham enough. I found in 1946 until 1963, there was a lot around. That was a long time, twelve solid years. I tell you what I saw in Canada. Yes, in Canada all right…what they thought about that prophet. Then you were there that same night, but, you missed it. Now, Paul was gifted to bring us the revelation originally. Then of course, through Seven Church Ages, other men were gifted by the same Holy Ghost, the same Christ, to bring the message for their day. Okay,
25. Revelation 1:10, 12-13, 16 [
(10) I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a
great voice, as of a trumpet,
And in the 12th verse,
(12) And I turned to see the voice … I saw seven golden candlesticks;
(13) And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, …
He was saying the same things as the Son of man.
(16) And he had seven stars (in his right hand):
Which is seven messengers, now, every single church age.
26. Revelation 2:1,7
(1) Unto the (messenger) of the church of Ephesus write; These things
saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
And ends up by verse 7 saying,
(7) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit (says) unto the churches; …
But the Spirit doesn’t talk to the people. He talks to the messenger, and the people hear the messenger. Every single Church Age starts the same way. A revelation of Jesus Christ; a message to the people; and they have to hear it…and they do not get it by themselves. They get It through the messenger. Every Age had a messenger. And then Paul said, “Teaching men, who will in turn teach others.” This is how the Word of God goes forth. And this is how the truth’s goes to the people…the mysteries, the doctrine, the teachings, this wonderful Word of God. And everybody else is blinded to. But you’re aware of, and alive to. And into your faith to put you into that kingdom. I say, this is given to men to transmit to you. I know that’s the first thought to some folks that I tell you they don’t believe in that. [blank spot in audio] …out there. They say, “Stay home and play tapes.” If that’s the case, how come they don’t do it?
27. They’re on every street corner, and everyone talking faster than I am…and believe me, I can talk, and talk fast. The proof of the pudding is in meetings. They can’t take themselves. There as anybody knows with one ounce of Spiritual intelligence, that God put that elected ministry in the Church. And that Church positively has to have it to bring the Bride to perfection, or, cut out of your Bible, Ephesians 4: Now, we won’t cut out that heavenly chapter brother/sister, because that’s the heavenly Book. Okay, all right. Secondly; only gifted men, can separate and coordinate the truth for the Bride. Repeat: only gifted men, can separate and coordinate the truth for the Bride.
To simply know each mystery allows contradiction of the Word. The Bible then fights the Bible. The whole Word must be reconciled to one, living, working body. Amen. You say, “Bro. Vayle, what’s your proof?”
28. Romans 11:25
(25) For I would not, brethren, that (you) should be ignorant of this mystery, lest (you) should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Then why is everybody trying to win the Jew to Christ? Do you know where they get it from? To the Jew first. All right, the Jew’s got it first. It’s over. Paul said, “We’ve turned from you to the Gentiles.” Is that, right? And that ends number one. What happened, they’re blinded. Now, brother/sister, Paul said, “I want you Gentiles to know this thing.” He said, “Here’s something you don’t understand.” He said, “The Bible said, they glorified God, but the Word of the Lord came to the Gentiles.” Where’s that about Acts 13: 30,40, somewhere in there? …45 I think. All right. They were glad the Word went to the Gentiles. Now, Paul says, “Gentiles, I’m going to tell something right here. You better understand the Word, the way It’s really written, and I’m giving you the revelation.” The Word was given to Israel first.
29. Now, It’s come to you because they turned It down. And the reason they turned It down, was God blinded them. Then, how are you going to open the eyes that God blinded? Yet many are trying to do it. How many millions of dollars have been raised to win the Jews? Now, as Bro. Branham said, “They’ll bring in one or two. But they’ll never come…they can’t until Elijah and Moses, whether real, or the Spirit is upon two others, seals in the 144,000.” See? But you won’t convince people that way. Because why? because to the Jew first, always go to the Jew first…then keep going. I mustn’t talk to you Gentiles, until I’ve told the Jews. Ah, ah, ah, that’s the Bible. Brother/sister, listen to me. That’s what’s wrong with us today, we have a Baptist, a Methodist, a Presbyterian, a Nazarene, a Pentecostal, and you name it, and every one is based upon a certain way that they interpret the Bible.
And everyone has got to be wrong. because the Bible doesn’t fight the Bible. See? That’s another reason you know there’s a lot of truth for every single Age. See? Now, do you see where there’s such fighting over doctrine? There is such fighting over doctrine because there are not too many truly elected members in the body of Jesus Christ, to deliver the Word of God to the saints.
30. Let’s go to Ephesians 4: Notice,
(8) When he ascended up on high, …
What’s He do? Says He ascended. I hope you know that. He that ascended, is the same that descended. But, He couldn’t descend until He ascended above all things, and the only one that went up above all things, is Jesus Christ, and He came back. How did He come back? He came back two thousand years ago as the Holy Ghost. What did He do? He set the Church in order. He gave apostles, prophets, teachers, evangelists, pastors. Not elders, not deacons. What for? For the perfecting of the saints. For the work of the ministry. For the edifying of the body of Christ, until we all come to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God unto the perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ. We haven’t got it yet, and it won’t come until the Capstone comes down and crowns us, which is Christ Himself.
So therefore, you’ve got a five-fold ministry…the elect of Almighty God. This is what’s wrong today brother/sister. There are too many people today in the ministry, who never were called. Not going to try to vindicate myself, I just got to believe I was called, that’s all. Now, I’m not trying to un-vindicate anybody else’s ministry, because they’ve got to believe they’re called too. I’ll go right along with you, God bless you, believe you’re called. I won’t argue. But the trouble is, they’re too many men who never were called.
31. Let’s go to the Book of Matthew 7:15-17, What does It say here in these verses?
(15) Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
A false prophet, a false teacher, is a man who looks on the outside just like a Christian…and oh, he’s so full of love. I don’t want to shoot any poisoned arrows at anybody tonight to get you all fussed up, and start fighting amongst yourselves. But, love is not the evidence of being baptized with the Holy Ghost. Because this man is a wolf in sheep clothing. See? Now, It says here,
(16) (You’ll) know them by their fruits...
Oh, come on. How do you get fruit off of a sheep, or a wolf? Christ is mixing His metaphors. Oh, no He’s not. You’ve got to be aware of what the Bible teaches. You don’t just casually…He’s teaching us now where it all started from. This wolf in sheep clothing who talks like a Christian, who acts like a Christian, but there’s something about him that is not a Christian.
32. All right,
(16) (You’ll) know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns,
or figs of thistles?
(17) Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; … (Aha.)
Now we’re getting to the source…the tree. What are those two trees? The Tree of Life, and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil…the mixed and perverted Word in a man that looks like, acts like, sounds like a Christian, but he’s off of that Word just like Satan took Eve, took Word against Word, until she fell. I challenge you. Show me around this discord. Bro. Branham quoted one Word. [Anointed Ones at the End Time 65-07-25] brings this out perfectly. Not grinding an axe. I believe in love like anybody else does. You’re not motivated by love. If the love of God is not forcing you to do those things you do. But I see a man called of God, and I saw him heal the multitudes. I saw him break those loaves and fishes. But, one day he went down that road, and there he saw one man not dying of cancer, not stricken with some terrible disease, …but Bro. Branham said, “Do you have a pot to be filled, or, do you want to get healed?” He left the rest sitting there.
33. Where is that God of love? Why doesn’t He raise all the dead? Why not heal all the sick, why take that one man there? That’s …?... …?... said Bro. Branham. Aw, my brother, my sister, get back to this Word lest you be deceived. You say, “Bro. Vayle you’re beside yourself. You’re insane let's be honest.” I'm not worried about saving my voice for tomorrow, so I can preach. I’m preaching now, tomorrow may never come. I’ve seen men and women defeated too many times on this very thing here. The Bible distinctly says, “I challenge you to go to your anointed ones at the end time.” This positively, absolutely, is a man who acts like he has everything, but, he’s off that Word. As Bro. Branham said, “Give him the Word test.” Sure, there’s love, there’s got to be love. What did Bro. Branham say one day?
I said, “Bro. Branham, I don’t understand it.
He said, “Bro. Vayle, listen to me, you’re to trust the subject”
This is off the tapes so I’m sorry, throw it in the garbage if you want. Because I still think it’s to stick to the tapes of what he said.
I said, “Bro. Branham I don’t understand.”
He said, “Lee, let me put it this way, do you often do those things which you normally would not do, because you want to please Christ?”
I said, “Certainly.”
He said, “That’s love.”
34. Many a time a man doesn’t look like he’s got love. Many a time Bro Branham didn’t look like he had love. Many times, it looked like Jesus didn’t have love. But Jesus said, “Which of you can confute Me in one Word?” There’s the test. Eve fell on that day, she turned that one Word down. Jesus Himself taught, which one of you can convict Me of sin. That word in the Greek is; which one of you can confute me of one Word. As Bro. Branham said, “Show me one Word where It isn’t fulfilled.” Also, the Greek brings out even more. Show me one word, I’m …?... I don’t …?... the day He picked up those thongs and whipped those guys out of the temple. …?... …?... it turned out. Just hold your horses right there. They weren’t a bunch of thieves, and renegades cheating the the people. They were money changers. Why? Because the temple demanded a certain coin. And if they didn’t have the coin, those men sat there doing God a service, changing their money so they had the coin.
But, they thought by their good works and their nice ways, they’d get to the kingdom of Almighty God. The way to heaven, and Jesus said, “He that comes any other way, is a thief and a robber. Come by the Word.” And the Word was made flesh. Oh God, if that’s the price we’ve got to take to accept that Word, …Word upon Word. Amen. As Jesus Christ was one Word made in flesh, so the Bride of Jesus Christ is the same. See? Yes sir. Love of God, all love divine, brought by this Word. Certainly. Love, there’s got to be love there. Never was a time when there wouldn’t be love. Now, these men here are off of that Word. They act sweet, they act kind. See? You say, “Bro. Vayle, why do you get cross about this?” because I deal with this across America. I deal with it around the world when I go anyplace. It’s the same story, just doesn’t matter they say, “Just so long as you love each other.”
35. Yes, we must love each other. But, it’s got to come from the Word. You say, “What if a man doesn’t believe that Word?” You love him anyway, love him all the more. Love him all the more. Look at the shape he’s in. Your evidence lies in that Word. Do you follow me? Bro. Branham said he had a vision…broken cistern. He was talking to Bro. Vayle, you know the story. He said, “Bro. Vayle, do you still believe in a tongues evidence?” I saw that didn’t work. He said, “Do you still believe in love?” And then one day, God gave him a vision. What was that vision? The vision was, the identification with the Word. See? Now, that doesn’t put love aside. It doesn’t. Love is a fruit, there’s got to be love. If I came here for any other reason, except I love the Lord, I love to help God’s people, I love to preach the Word to help people. Because I said, my message is not pastoral.
If I could take a pastor’s message today, and melt your hearts in a certain way…that’s nice. But, that’s not my job with this meeting. It’s to cut across this Word, Word by Word, with every ounce of energy I’ve got to show you just what It says. My emphasis, everything I indicate, is in that direction. Not a lack of love…no sir. You don’t go down that road with nothing, not knowing where you’re going at twenty-two years of age, but you go there. You don’t go down that road leaving your wife and kids at home with nothing, to go and serve Almighty God…not necessarily knowing where you’re going, you go anyway. You don’t tear up everything you’ve got, go down and make a sacrifice, because you haven't anything in your heart. No brother/sister, you do it because you’ve got something in your heart. When you’re going to go all the way with God, you go all the way with that Word.
36. There’s going to be millions try to make it without It. We’re going to make it by It. If we’re bone of His bone, and flesh of His flesh, we’re going to be His, Word by Word. That’s why God sent a prophet. He didn’t have to send a prophet because a man lacked a certain grace. How many of you ever met Jonathan Goforth, the great Canadian? Anybody ever meet him here? I wished to God you’d have seen him. I was in his presence one day. I couldn’t grovel within sixty feet, I felt the Presence of Jesus Christ, …I was melted to tears. There’s always been love. Bailey, in South Africa. You talk about power, out of the late Charles Price. I knew him well. Well, talk about power. God sent a prophet to bring that Word back. When he brought the Word back, he didn’t take away love. He didn’t take away character. He didn’t take away mercy. Didn’t take away anything. But, he brought that Word back.
But, some folks think that Word’s not important. Not one Word, brother/sister, not one Word, is changed. If anything, then the love grows richer, fuller, freer and deeper. If anything, then the grace is much more abundant. If anything, then the mercy is much more compounded. If anything, the character is much more glowing. If anything, then if Bro Branham said, “Not only destroyed it when Jesus came, He multiplied it now.” Not only now, not to look upon a woman with any thoughts in your mind. But, even in this day when women are taking their clothes off. Then, just walk by anyway, without it meaning much, then, it won’t mean anything at all. Any man can do that? We’re coming to it, brother/sister. Just as sure as you and I are alive tonight, we might not have our hearts the way you want it. We may not have evrything the way we thought it ought to be. But, I’m saying to you tonight, God’s prophet saying, “Thus Saith The Lord’.
37. There’s going to be a Bride standing here, and she, won’t be one that looks like a Christian, she, won’t be one that acts like a Christian, she’ll be one that is a Christian. She will be a Christian. She’ll be what Bro. Branham said, “She won't be, well I want to tell you, if it wasn’t for this or that, I’d like to give that person a piece of my mind.” No sir. She’d say, I couldn’t do that, I belong to Christ.” Yes, that’s what the prophet taught. This is from [The Anointed Ones At The End Time 65-07-25]
There aren’t too many of those men, I only trust by God I could be one of them by His grace. I can’t prove that I am. And I couldn’t deny the other fellow preaching the gospel and trying to be right.
But this is what the Apostle Paul said, over in Acts 20: and he said this over in verse 28.
(28) … and to all the flock, over … which the Holy Ghost hath made you
overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his
own blood. (Christ the Blood of God)
(29) For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among
You …
38. Elders, not the five-fold ministry. Paul did not call the pastors, Paul did not call the prophets, he did not call the apostles, he did not call the evangelists, he did not call the teachers. He called the elders, he said, “The elders amongst you, is where it’s going to come.” Why? because they’re not part of the five-fold ministry. An elder, is a man who wants to preach. An elder, is a man who feels, “I’d like to do God a service.” And let me tell you this, you can and may if you want, but don’t you dare enter a pulpit and try to lead God’s people, until first of all you've been ordained, an elder. Just got an ‘amen’, you’re listening good, that’s all right. I don’t need one. Paul said to Timothy, “Ordain elders”, he said to Timothy, “They should be apt to teach.” We’ve seen the Full Gospel Businessmen, we see secular men, we see dozens of people rise up, and you can say what you want…they've done great work, they’re doing a great work my brother, my sister.
I’m not going to deny anything about a man doing a work. But, the prophet of God taught that you can do God a service apart from His will. Do you know what David did in going to bring the ark, is that right? What more glorious thing than to bring the ark home. But, David did wrong. An ordained of God’s five-fold ministry, will not bring you with foul words. Because the Bible said that a good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit. Let one man then say that Bro. Branham make one mistake. The man is wrong, William Branham is right. Let two men say that Bro. Branham made a mistake. Both men are wrong, Bro. Branham is right. Let any denomination say that Bro. Branham is wrong. The denomination is wrong. Bro. Branham is right. Let the whole world say he was wrong. Bro. Branham stood alone, he was the only one that was right, because he alone could prove …?...
39. And in February, February… were the Tampa meetings in ’64? February, or January. April, in April, Bro. Branham took me to breakfast in Tampa Fla., and he said, “Lee, all my thoughts are of God. I must be left alone, I have to have my time with Him. I must not be disturbed.” “Oh, but I have men around me, to simply carry on do the best they can. But, he said, I must be with God because my thoughts are all of God.” Challenge a man like that? Not me, oh no, not me. I saw that man that night where God gave him the power of life and death. I saw him with that young couple there began hugging and kissing in the audience. And he looked down and said, “Don’t do that. This is the House of God, sanctified by prayer, though it’s an armory, it’s a House of prayer, it’s a House of God. Don’t you do that, children.” Then they kept on kissing, and goofing, and acting like a couple of little, nonsensible kids. And I saw his face go ashen, rocking back and forth on his feet. I saw him blanch there, going back and forth there…I said, “God, what’s going to happen?”
He said, “Children, I have the power of life and death, don’t do that.” And they kept on doing it. Rocking, back and forth. Rocking back and forth I thought I should pray. I never knew what a prayer was for that moment. "Oh God, don’t let him kill those kids." You talk about a crisis moment in my life, and one of his. Rocking back and forth. Rocking back and forth, suddenly he broke, I heard him say, “I give you your life.” Glory to God, we had one billion people rise up and say, “He’s wrong.” I say, “He’s right.” Glory to God. Don’t tell me, … a vindicated prophet of that stature. I don’t care if I get through preaching. When I tell you something, I won’t reserve it. In Vancouver, I think it was 1946, I was in that meeting. Bro. Branham came to that platform a beautiful looking little man, fine looking little fellow. He was handsome in those days. He looked beautiful there, moving his head.
40. He stood on that platform, and he said, “Friends, there’s a lot of sick people here. Now he said, look, I’m going to give you a choice, and you can vote on it. He said, you can bring twenty-four of your worst cases here tonight, and I guarantee healing for all. Or, all can all go through the prayer line if you’ve got prayer cards. And he said, sixty percent get healed. Now he said, let’s see a show of hands. How many want to see the twenty-four cases bringing down, the hardest cases, to see miracles? Hardly a hand went up. How many want to go through the prayer line and take your chances that fifty percent get healed? They raised their hands. Brother/sister, look at the impact that was lost. Twenty-four guaranteed miracles. It would have shook the world. It would’ve brought the Kremlin, and the Vatican, and all the religious structure, the Hindus, the Taoists, the Confucius-ists, you name it, the Muslims, he would’ve brought them all down tumbling to the ground, crushed.
That here was a man that could guarantee twenty-four miracles, and get ‘em. But, do you know what happened? They didn’t want to see it. Do you know what happens? They took a prayer line, and there wasn’t one miss. Instead of twenty-four guaranteed miracles, there was a least one thousand instantaneous, absolute healings. And nobody even caught on. Amazing grace. And yet God blinded the eyes of the world. He gave them their chance. And they turned it down. And he did it anyway. [BV starts to sing]
41. O how I love Jesus
O how I love Jesus
O how I love Jesus
Because He first loved me
I’ll never forsake Him
I’ll never forsake Him
I’ll never forsake Him
Because He first loved me
Let’s sing it.
I’ll always believe Him
I’ll always believe Him
I’ll always believe Him
Because He first loved me
All right, let’s continue, the mysteries of God are for edifying the Bride. And they never were intended of the Lord for use in judging, and whipping. They never were. God’s Word is not used for judging and whipping. It’s not meant to cut down the sheep.
42. For as Paul said, [1 Corinthians 13:]
(2) …(if) I (know) all the mysteries, and (I have them all perfectly), … and (I) have not love, (he said, then,) I am nothing.
All doctrine and all working by inspiration of God. And it’s proper for doctrine, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. In order to make those people in the congregation and absolutely one with…not only conversant with, but one with Almighty God, by means of that Word. There is no preacher who should beat his sheep, or ever keep his people under such control because of that Word of Almighty God. That to me is Bro. Branham said, that “The preacher that uses the Word of God as a club, he’s a hypocrite.” I’ve got to say this, and I’m sorry, that there has been a time of youth that I have used the Word as a club. Now, because I’m kind of a rough talker, this bearing down, I am not trying to use the Word as a club. I know I’m using a trap tonight, to try to show you what I have in my heart what I believe the prophet of God brought to us.
Not trying to club you. And if you feel I’m clubbing you, you just come and talk to me, I’ll sure apologize to you. Because I’m not, because I don’t even know you folks here. This is the way I preached all around the country, any place I go. The Word of God was not given to any preacher, or any person to use as a club. Just the other day, Bro. Branham edified my soul so greatly, when I was wondering how a person could testify to sinners. That’s right. I've done testifying in my day. I've done witnessing, and one soul I know believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, I think I have, I can’t prove it, because only God knows, I don’t know. But, God knows. And Bro. Branham said, “Listen, don’t tell a man how wrong he is. And don’t tell a man because he’s cussing, and drinking, and bawl him up, or, tell him he’s going to go to hell. Just say, ‘Brother, there’s a better way of life, I’d like to tell you about it.’
43. That’s what I’m trying to do today. I’m trying to show you about these things. Where the true evidence of being one with Christ, really is. Not taking away, but adding to it, so we stand firm and know exactly where we’re at, so we cannot be shaken. No, you don’t use the Word as a club. See? Notice also, this same thing I mentioned, that Bro. Branham brought out, Paul brought out. That in 1 Corinthians 13:2 that in Christ’s Church, that is based upon a revelation, not by a teaching handed down by the fathers. Look it here…let’s face it, if God gave me a revelation today, and I have the ability to put it out, Word by Word, so that you could grasp it mentally. Do you know what? You’d be a mental Christian, that’s all. It’s got to be Spiritual. See? So, that’s what Paul warns about that. And Bro. Branham said the very same thing.
He said he’s quoting Bro. du Plessis, when he said, “God does not have grandchildren, God has children.” And the way God gets grandchildren, is believing what your Daddy believed, because he taught it to you, and he made it work. Now, fourthly; the mysteries of God which are foolishness to the world, must be proclaimed with boldness. Oh my, Bro. Branham preached a whole sermon on this, by the sealing of Jesus Christ.
44. Go to Ephesians 6:19
(19) … that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
In other words, brother/sister, there could be a time when you and I might want to soft pedal this glorious gospel. There might be a time I think more than one person has told me and I think Bro. Terry’s testimony about a certain brother, about how he was not getting anywhere for awhile. He didn’t seem to make any headway, because he didn't think he ought to talk about Bro. Branham. But, what if he never talked about Bro. Branham, and identify the Word with the Messenger. Then God begin to do something. Brother/sister listen, let’s identify with this Word. Now here’s one place where it’s very easy for me. I don’t know whether it’s just in my nature, or what it is. But, I’ll tell you something. I think that this gospel Bro. Branham taught us, I have always loved a community church. If I had my way as a pastor, I’d go to a town and I’d open a community church. And a community church is this kind of a church; it cuts across everything that everybody believes, and centers it in Christ.
And there’s only one person can do it, that’s William Branham. I love what he taught. If I were to preach today without a revelation of who he was, that’s not possible, of course. But, if I could, if I could be a pastor after a sort, and go forth to some town and have a church, I would preach this Word exactly according to what he said the best I could, because I believe this is it, whether he restores, or not. I love it. I love that doctrine; no eternal hell. I love that doctrine; eternal security. I love that doctrine; …?... I love that doctrine; serpent seed, because it justifies God’s election. Why shouldn’t God do anything, but, reprobate an animal, so to speak? Where can you find the serpent’s name in the Book? Without that doctrine of the serpent seed, I would never be able to understand election, the way I do.
45. I’d never understand reprobation, the way I see it. Oh, I praise God tonight, for the thrill that’s in this Word. This is meat and drink today, this is the very Christ. See? Absolutely. I love it. No, not ashamed. But, you know, Bro. Branham said we could be ashamed. Remember I told you about that ‘Joseph Pine show?’ when they wrote in and said, the man is dead now, but, he wrote that terrible dirty book about the serpent taking the woman, and copulation. They said, “Why, a man like that, ought to be put in jail.” Anybody reading the book, they ought to burn the book. Well, maybe somebody might get taken, and maybe the time will come when you and I will have it pretty rough. But brother/sister listen, we’ve got the only pure gospel there is today. Be proud of It, just like when Bro. Branham said, “Women, wear your hair with pride. It’s your glory.” So that each one of us have this Word in our hearts bless God, with joy unspeakable, and full of glory because it’s ‘Thus Saith The Lord’.
Now, number five; it is evident that the mysteries will not scatter or separate the Bride, but, bring her together. Oh my. Oh my, every time God ever did show His Church something… You’re standing in the boat. Oh, you’re waiting to be perfect, coming in here. Oh, you deathly person, you’ve got a wrong spirit on you. You’re scattering the sheep. No, no, no, my brother, my sister, you’re bringing the sheep together. Oh yes, yes, yes, I don’t care what they say. I want to know what He said, so, I went to my Bible and found out. That’s a good place to go. I’ve learned a lot of lessons, the one place to find out about the Word of God, is to go to the Word of God. Now, Bro. Clark is very good, and Bro. Strong is very good, Bro. Finney is very good, and Bro. Branham is the best. And if I want to know what the best man said, I’d go to the Bible, for what the best man said. That’s the way to get it really licked, isn’t it?
46. All right. In Colossians 2:1-2
(1) For I would that (you) knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, …
They’ve got conflict right now too.
(1) … and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
(2) That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto
all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement
of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
Now brother/sister, Paul said, “When you’ve got my revelation, and your heart has It fully revealed to you,” he said, “You’re one.” The revelation, does not split the Bride, it brings the Bride together. That’s exactly why you see John says, “They’re elected, because they are of us.” Talking on the Word. Yes sir. I want to tell you, when Bro. Branham died, a lot of folk left him, because he died, I tell you, it made my faith stronger than ever. A man from up in New England phoned me, and he thought he’d encourage me, he thought I was sobbing now, and without a leader, he was going to be my leader. Oh brother, was that hard enough for Bro. Branham to get me under his thumb. Forget somebody else, because I’ve got a mind of my own. And so, he thought I’d cry on his shoulder, and when he found I wasn’t crying, why he said then, “Lee, I don’t see how God would smear a man across the road.”
And I said, “He fed them to lions and put their carcass like dung upon the ground.” Don’t talk to me about a man smeared across the road. I said, “Brother, I want to tell you, if you expect me to believe a man because he’s alive, or, I’m going to think a man is vindicated because he’s alive, let’s kiss the pope’s toe, because he’s alive.” So, that took care of the toe kissing. That took care of the fooling. Brother/sister, I want to tell you, this Word I’m standing on. And I know you’re standing on It. And believe me, It does not scatter the Bride, It brings the Bride together.
47. Listen, over here in 2 Thessalonians 2:1, now, let’s look at It,
(1) Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and by our gathering together unto him,
In the Book of the [Seven] Seals, Page 106, and Par. 5; in the [Invisible Union of the Bride 65-11-25] Page 29 Par. 3; Bro. Branham said, “That gathering was the end time Message.”
Read It over in Matthew 23:37
(37) O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them
(that) are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children
together, …
God sent His prophets, and those He ordained to gather the Elect to God, with the Word. The Word of God doesn’t scatter! It gathers them. You say, “Well, Bro. Vayle, we sure look scattered.” That’s what you’re looking at entirely, honey. That’s your trouble. Scattered. Do you know why that is? because God says so. You say you want some more evidence. I don’t want any more evidence, I believe It. I don’t care if that man out there believes in what he looks like, or what he’s doing. I believe I’m being gathered. Listen, I’m not being competitive. Bro. Branham said that if there’s only one person in your town going to make the Rapture, you believe you’re that one. I’m married, what about my wife?
I’d say, “Now, honey, I think you’d better go.”
She’d say, “Well honey, I think you’d better go.”
“Oh, no, I think you’d better go.”
“No, I think you’d better go.”
How ridiculous can you get? You’re not competitive. You’re believing. If there’s ten thousand people in this town believe this Message, everyone believes it is not competitive to shove the other man out. God’s gathering. And I’m going to tell you something right here brother/sister. Since about1968, we've been getting more crystalized in our thinking. And more adamant, in the way we were going. We better watch ourselves. I know it, you know it too. Now, sixth point. No true minister of the mysteries, will use his office in any way, except for the sake of the Word, and the Elect.
48. All right. 1 Timothy 3:9
(9) Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
Now, how did Paul have a pure conscience? Because he gave the Word of God, and thereby delivered his soul, and all he wanted to do was deliver the Word. Now, brother/sister, that’s, what a preacher lives for. He doesn’t live to make a name for himself. He doesn’t live to make a following. Now, if I’ve got a following I want them pointed out so I can hit them right in the nose, and that’ll still be love. That’s the best love …?... they ever got. Don’t follow me, because I won’t even …?... I like what Bro. Rosenke said. “Any man follows him, he sure has to run awful hard, and he ain’t going to catch him.” Yes sir. I don’t want my conscience defiled. because I attest that you ask me one or two times that you use the Word of God as a club, and I realized, “Never do that. No, not as a club…no sir.”
49. I’m not trying to take advantage, not trying to steer you my way. because I tell you, unless you know this straight and know it’s straight right now. Read your Bible, and you go to the Book of John, and in there you’re going to find, that those disciples did not recognize Jesus Christ. They could not tell Him by facial features. They could not tell Him by how He looked. They only knew who He was, by what He did. And there was something coming in that Resurrection period, I don’t understand, and I won’t talk about, but there could be something, I don’t know. And I leave it sit, right there. So then, how could I use the Word of God for my way, or any other way, because I don’t know. I don’t. All I know is, for this minute I have what I understand. Through the revelation of the Holy Ghost, of what Bro. Branham taught, I stick to it, and I teach it.
And I know that’s the way you are. Whether you got it from those tapes, from what your faithful ministry taught you, you believe, and you want it only for one thing…you want it to place you in that kingdom. And we are teaching the Word of God, for one thing because we love that Word, and we love the Elect of Almighty God. And if we don’t do it, shame on us. All right, let’s put it this way…if we fail to do that, we’re not Elect. We just try to take advantage …?... …?... No, God forbid that anybody should do that. Now, seven. Certain mysteries are necessarily reserved for certain seasons, and cannot be made known until it’s the time for the manifestation, because God interprets His Word through manifestation. What’s all this talk about Elijah the prophet coming?
50. “Well, Bro. Vayle, if you were me, I think you said it wrong. because there isn’t much to it.” Except for a few verses of Scripture. So that all this talk, and it isn't very much taught. I wish I knew what that really was, myself. Let’s take a look at William Branham then, there it is in his book. There It is on tape. There It is in movies. Projectors. There It is on slides. There It is. God, in the volumes, could be written. Those few verses on Elijah, but there he stood, and God revealed His Word through manifestation. God interpreted His Word into revelation by manifestation, and they still couldn’t get it, because their eyes were blinded. Yes sir. Brother/sister, that’s what Paul said about the mystery of iniquity. He said that mystery of iniquity was already worse, but, there was only going to be one day, when you really know what it is.
Bro. Branham was the man that could tell us and he said, “Once and for all I’m telling you…then he said that…this is ‘Thus Saith The Lord’ the mystery of iniquity is the people worshipping the devil through a church system.” Let me read you something over here. Paul said a little later over on here. Now, these conditions, there has to be some kind of manifested invitation to prove to which one is it that God is giving the true revelation of the doctrine unto the Bride. And this vindication first of all started with Paul.
51. Now, don’t you do anything because you know the verses. Verses 1 Corinthians 2:1-8, and Colossians 6:1-29 speaks of the vindication. And it perfectly revealed mystery of the doctrine for their day brought forth in virgin Bride, according to 2 Corinthians 11:2, Paul said,
(2) …for I have espoused you to (Christ) … as a …virgin…
And I want you to be a virgin. But according to the Apostle Paul, in Acts 20:26-31 he said the Bride would fall into sin. John saw the First Church Age leave her, they wouldn't which was the Word. 1 John 2:18-19 showed that the people had already left, because he wasn’t going to believe the Word, and they had fallen after an antichrist system. …the church begins to leave the Word and her virginity. Thus, the church goes into error with no vindicated prophet to bring her back to original purity. Not one man, from the Apostle Paul down to the Seventh Church Age, had the true revelation of the entire Word of God.
52. But, God is the necessary revelation for every Age as seen by the true Age Messenger, chapter 2, and chapter 3, and the verse I want to read now is Titus 1:1-3
(1) Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the
faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after
godliness;
There you are, conduct is part of it. That’s right, character is part of it. That’s not it, though…that comes out of it. Just like you get eggs out of a hen. The egg doesn’t say, “Hen,” but you have to get the hen to get the egg. See? Now then, if you’ve got eggs, without a hen, it’s ersatz (not genuine), it’s phoney. So therefore, if you have love, grace, and mercy, there’s from so on, aside from the Word it won’t go down with God. Do you follow now, what I’m trying to get across? You see, this is kind of worse than you think it is. I know, you know I’m around a lot, and you’d be surprised, by the deviation of Word. And I will not deviate from this Word, if I’ve got to die for It. I won’t do it. I’m going to say what the prophet said, if it kills me. Remember, there was a man called Achan, who got everything messed up for Israel. And what did Joshua say to that boy?
53. He said, “Give God the glory, and confess what you did.” And the kid confessed what he did, and they killed the whole bunch. Stick with this Word. Stick with this Word, it may cost you everything that you’ve got. You may suffer and die for It…stick with it. There’s a crown of glory waiting brother/sister. God’s given me strength to stay with this Word, just the way It was taught. No matter what anybody says, Jeremiah…I haven’t got a name anyway. If you knew about me, then maybe you wouldn’t even let me get on the platform.
So, I don’t mind if you did it afterwards. Just got up the first step on you. I’ve got no past or present to be proud of. No, not a thing. In fact, down the …?... I got so close to know the prophet. Told me to come and explain it. Of course, it’s more to believe, and be a friend of Jesus.
54. Now listen. Here’s what It says,
(2) In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
(3) But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, …
Now, let me give the actual, literal translation of that 3rd verse. ‘But, in his own private, and strategic season, he made known in His Word, in a proclamation with which I was entrusted, in accordance with the command of God’. Now, you’ll find in [Trying To Do God a Service 65-11-27] on Page 16, Bro. Branham talks about that. God has His times and seasons for a message. Now, most people don’t believe that. They say, “Oh, I believe the whole Word of God.” Aw, come on now. Now, why don’t you build an ark, and get ready for a flood? You say, “Bro. Vayle, that’s been fulfilled.” That is what I’m telling you. The Bible said, “The Word of God does not pass away but It be fulfilled.” You’ll never fulfill Isaiah 53: again. It’s fulfilled…It’s passed away. Then, what is for your day? Well come on, what’s for your day? It’ll take a prophet to tell you.
It takes God to reveal It to you. It’ll take God for His own private, and strategic season to give you His Word for that day. There’s a Word for every Age. It’s that manna in the golden vessel behind the veil, the Holy of Holies, where the Shekinah Glory shines upon the bread, the manna. The high priest once a year goes in. And every new high priest, would go in there, and Bro. Branham said, “He would take a little of that manna and eat it, which would never perish. But, it was different manna.” Same manna, but different piece. This Word of God for every Age. And the Word of promise for this day, “Behold, I will send you Elijah, it shall be light at evening time.” The great mystery, ‘We shall not all die, but we shall all be changed’. Now, God’s promise for the last Age, a complete revelation of His Word.
55. As Bro. Branham said in [Spoken Word Original Seed 62-03-18] and remember, he said, “God… I felt God made me righteous.” He took up his pen, and as fast as he could write, here’s what the Spirit of God said, that this prophet would do, “He would plant the seed of the entire Bible, from the serpent, to the prophet in the former rain.” He did it. He preached ['Serpent Seed' 09-28-58] and then [The Anointed Ones at the End Time 07-25-65] which was the prophet in the former rain. The Bride could see the entire Bible. Opening the Seven Seals. Bringing forth the Seven Thunder mystery, and doing all those things. Just as It says in Matthew 7:3-11, he’ll correct the error, and Acts 3:20-26 that he will restore all that was spoken by the mouth of all the holy prophets, since the world began.
Now listen. What was spoken by the mouth of all the holy prophets? The Word. And Who spoke It? The Holy Ghost. So therefore, God by the Holy Ghost, was going to bring the whole Word of God back into full view. Jehovah of the Old Testament, is Jesus of the New, and wrap it all up in terms of His coming. Amen. Hallelujah. And do you know what? He did it. Now, this is for the Bride’s sake. Why? Because she was a virgin to begin with. Now remember, as I said it already. The Bride of Jesus Christ is the body of Jesus Christ. And Christ, is Alpha and Omega. So therefore, He’d have to be at the end what He was at the beginning. Now to Paul, He was the Pillar of Fire. Right? With the full revelation. So therefore, He had to come back as a Pillar of Fire with the full revelation again.
56. Now, the Gentile Bride was a virgin to begin with, and she’s alpha, so therefore, she must be omega. So, once more she must be a virgin. And she is a virgin, Why? To the revealed Word of Almighty God at the end time, because Bro. Branham said he was given the job to bring out a Bride, and to clothe her. Is that’s right? Now, what was his vision? He saw her at the beginning, he saw her at the end, and at the end she was just like she was at the beginning…and he put her in step. Right? And she went to Glory. Now finally, it will put her in a Rapture, it certainly will. It will put her in a Rapture, because all mysteries will be wound up with faith, perfected faith, and the last mystery that happened in the Bride, is putting on incorruptibility, and immortality.
Now you see brother/sister, what these mysteries are all about. What's so mysterious? It’s the revealed Word of God, coming down supernaturally from heaven. They're supernaturally gifted people, that they may know the things of Almighty God. And the rest of the world will never know them. Only you that are Bride, …remember Bro. Branham said, “I do not call you Church, I call you Bride.” Then what does He do with these people who say they’re leasing the Bride now? Don’t look at Lee Vayle. He’s the One that's leading the Bride. How? By the Word. Obey those that have the rule over you, to teach you the Word of God. What’s this leading this congregation? The bishop? No, the Word. Did Bro. Branham lead it? No, not really…the Word. Who did he say Elijah was? The Lord, Jesus Christ. That’s right. He wasn’t the Lord Jesus Christ, it was the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ.
57. That’s what was in Elijah. Why? because that’s the Spirit. Not a man. But, It comes through a prophet. The Word of God descended by the prophet’s spirit. Not your spirit and my spirit. He doesn’t come that way. Brother/sister, don’t you see it? You’re baptized with the Holy Ghost, so that this man of God, and the men of the Ages, could give you the Word. Not so you get the Word of God by yourself. The Word comes through these messengers. And if you’re given the Word, in order that you’ll have the same Spirit in you to get the same Word that they got. Oh, George Fox? knew that. That’s the trouble with the folk in Moses’ day was this, they never had the same Spirit, Moses had. If they’d of had, the same Spirit Moses had, they’d of had just one. You say, “Bro. Vayle, do you mean that Bro. Branham and I are one?” Certainly. You and he are one. You’d better be. And he’s one with Jesus Christ.
We’re one with Jesus Christ. Spirit of God given so you might know these Scriptures. The Word of God that came down from heaven. Oh, Bread of Life, feed me til I want no more. Feed me until I need no more. Laodicea Church Age, “We don’t lack a thing, we don’t need a thing. We’ve got it all.” Wretched, miserable, naked blind. But here we stand, feed me Lord. Every thought brought into captivity. Every desire to be in the Presence of Jesus Christ. And His desire, O God, we don’t want part, we want It all, Jesus. We want that perfect revelation. We want that perfect love. We want that perfect grace. We want that perfect mercy. We want perfection, O God. Hasten the day when Christ comes down. Love, that each one God is love, comes in. Sealing up every channel to our soul, until the Word like Abraham…Word, Word, Word. Then, comes the Resurrection.
58. God bless you. Do you follow me now? Let’s just stand a second. The Apostle Paul said he stood in jeopardy every hour of his life., because of the Word of God that he preached. They crucified Jesus Christ, not because of the things that He did, but, because of what He taught. Brother/sister, we are standing in jeopardy. We don’t realize it right now, because things seem pretty distant but, you know what as well as I do, the prophet said he dare not tell us those things coming upon the earth, because it would cause too much consternation. And there are many things coming upon this earth. Of which I believe the worst of all, the people will all go insane. They will go insane, they’re going insane now. And he said, “Jesus Christ taketh away, we will all be murdered, or something happen to us.” Now, even before this occurs, the going away…there could be much fall upon us.
May we pray daily to be fortified in Jesus Christ. To stand with this Word, whereby we were with Christ, and we're called heretics and are called hated. And hated by the devil, though we’re so few, we’re nothing but a drop in a bucket. We’re hated. And one day that pressure’s going to come brother/sister. The day we’ve got on my nerves, but one day, it’s going to come. O God, I don’t know how I’m going to act. But, God help me to act like a real Christian, like Jesus Christ. Living, I’m living, dying, I’m dying. Stand up with that Word.
Heavenly Father, we thank You now Lord Jesus Christ, that You’ve privileged us to be able to see this film tonight, ‘Twentieth Century Prophet’. To see the man that we’ve talked about, that has this great vindication. That would stand before us and say, “Bring me your worst cripples, I guarantee healings.” And then, when they didn’t do it, he healed multitudes more than they turned down. And still they didn’t understand, or see. O God, Father, how can we ever disbelieve? Jesus, purify every mind here, purify mine, Lord. I know these folks are anxious, but, so am I, Lord. We’re all anxious tonight. O God, purify us of wrong, cast out every thought that’s evil, take away every foreign word. Give us love, O God. [inaudible comments] …help us, O God, [inaudible comments] …give us the glory, until we’re glorified with You. Hallelujah.
Praise You Jesus. Praise, Your Holy Name. Hear our prayer, O God, hear our prayer, O God. Hear our prayer, O God. O Lord Jesus Christ, hear our prayer, O God. Grant it, O Jesus Christ, Grant it, O Jesus Christ. Praise Your Name, praise the Name of the Lord. Praise the Name of the Lord. Praise the Name of the Lord. Praise the Name of the Lord. Hallelujah, Jesus. Hallelujah, Jesus. Hallelujah, Jesus. Hallelujah, Jesus. Praise Thy Name, praise Thy Name. Praise Thy Name. Glory be to God. Amen, Lord. Amen.
You may be seated. The Lord bless you. We have in our midst tonight, a Bro. Searle, thousands of miles from this land. There’s one thing that breaks his heart, that he has told me personally. It’s the fact that there is not much love, or, enough love displayed. This, is exactly true. There must be love. If that Word is there, love must come. Sometimes, as I said today, it’s a little different from what people expect at times. But we all, …?... there has to be that love. And remember, love brother/sister, has many facets. And one of those facets I believe, is consideration. There’s so little consideration today, so little of always preferring each other. I stand amazed, and shocked, with my own ingratitude and those things that I see here in my own life. If anyone wants more love, and understanding, and all the facets…that multi-faceted thing called love, that God laid out through the Apostle Paul. I certainly want that.
Not giving any honor to my brother, because I know his service. I like Bro. Searle to rise and hear him pray. But with every head bowed, and every heart silent. You want to see a man, see for yourself. I’d like him to pray as a man who has travelled so much. Just think of us, just pray for this people here, and this meeting, that there not be one of us walk without love. That we hold that Word up, ready to do that which I preached tonight. It cannot be selfishly. Cannot be with a club. It cannot be in pride. It cannot be in arrogance. It cannot be “I told you so”. It must be with the merits of the Gracious Jesus Christ. Bro. Searle, would you be so kind to pray for these people. [audio ends]
